Chapter 559: Chapter 559: Daisy Grant’s Gloom

Ariel Morris didn’t notice Daisy Grant’s unusual behavior and spoke to herself.

Perhaps it was because of Ariel’s words, or maybe because Evalian Chapman occasionally chatted with Dawn Sutherland, the sight of the two laughing together was somewhat harsh. Daisy felt a bit stifled and uncomfortable, holding her wine glass and drinking quietly, without saying a word.

Evalian got up again to choose a song to sing, leaving Dawn’s side. Dawn held his wine glass, trying hard not to look towards Nico Haynes, but couldn’t help keeping an eye on him.

Just because the person sitting next to Nico was her — Daisy.

Dawn’s peripheral vision swept past Nico to the person sitting next to him, noticing Daisy sitting alone drinking wine. Dawn’s brows furrowed slightly, and the fingers resting on his knee became somewhat stiff.

When he saw Daisy slowly finish a glass and reach out to pour more wine, Dawn’s fingers tightened slightly. He glanced around the people in the private room and said in a deliberately casual tone, ”We’ve sung enough, let’s change places and go eat?”

Ariel, who was not very keen on singing, naturally nodded in agreement, ”Sure, I’m hungry already. Brother Dawn, please treat us to dinner.”

Dawn smiled gently, ”Okay.”

Nico also stood up and waved at Evalian, who was still holding the microphone, ”Stop singing, let’s move and eat! Hurry, hurry!”

Evalian reluctantly put down the microphone, obviously not yet satisfied with the singing.

Nico was the first to walk out, and Daisy put down her wine glass, instinctively following Dawn’s pace, wanting to walk side by side with him, yet someone beat her to it.

Evalian, having set down the microphone, saw Dawn get up and quickly walked up to him, beaming, ”Second Young Master, today I’m going to make you treat us well.”

Dawn smiled warmly and politely, ”Okay, we are all classmates, don’t be so formal.”

The two walked side by side, both smiling, while Daisy followed behind, feeling a bit stiff.

The two cheerful figures ahead stung her eyes, and Daisy paused in her steps, deliberately altering her pace, waiting until they were a bit further away before slowly following them.

The last to leave the private room were Arlo Seys and Ariel Morris. Ariel held onto Arlo’s arm and walked behind Daisy. Seeing Daisy’s sluggish steps, Ariel called out to Daisy as they passed by her, ”Daisy, come on, let’s join forces to make Brother Dawn treat us to good food!”

”Oh, alright.”

Daisy responded, quickening her pace to follow everyone outside.

Outside the Royal One, there were restaurants nearby. Dawn looked around and asked everyone, ”What should we eat?”

Nico shrugged, indifferent, ”Whatever.”

Ariel nodded, ”I’m not picky either, anything will do. I’m just really hungry now and want to eat as soon as possible.”

Evalian’s eyes lit up, focusing on a restaurant across from Royal One. She excitedly pointed and said, ”Let’s eat fish hot pot! It looks pretty good.”

Evalian’s gaze was directed at Dawn, who was the host for today’s gathering.

Dawn paused his gaze, instinctively looking at the person trailing two or three meters behind, seeing her eyes slightly drooped and her thin lips pursed. He pointed to a nearby restaurant next to Royal One and said, ”The spicy boiled fish at this place is quite good, should we try it?”

Evalian nodded happily, ”Sure, I love fish, especially spicy boiled fish.”

Everyone agreed, and Dawn led the way inside.

The trailing Daisy bit her lower lip, recalling the scene just now of Dawn and Evalian discussing what to eat, feeling even more stifled in her heart.
