Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

As soon as Lu Yu uttered these words, Leng Qingqiu’s body froze slightly, appearing somewhat surprised. Originally, she thought Lu Yu’s answer would most likely be no, but unexpectedly, Lu Yu admitted it so straightforwardly.

”What kind of people are they?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s response, Leng Qingqiu spoke in a low voice. Driven by curiosity, she wanted to know more about Lu Yu, so she was very eager to learn this information.

Now Leng Qingqiu wanted to know what kind of friends Lu Yu had made on that survival-of-the-fittest Paradise Island.

”What kind of people?”

Hearing this, Lu Yu’s tone lifted slightly, revealing an indescribable expression between his words, an expression tinged with mockery and anger, yet hiding deep memories: ”They were once very good people, so good that even on that hell-like Paradise Island, they could still give you hope.”

As he spoke, there was a hint of recollection in Lu Yu’s eyes, and three familiar figures appeared before him.

”Once?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu keenly caught the word ”once” in his speech.

”That’s right.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu said calmly, ”It was the past. They once planned an escape from Paradise Island with me. Without their help, I might not have survived to this day...”

In his words, a trace of reminiscence appeared on Lu Yu’s face, mingled with a hint of profundity amidst the aged expressions.

”So where are they now?”

Seeing Lu Yu’s deep expression, Leng Qingqiu asked. It was the first time she had seen him with such profound emotion.

”They’re all dead...”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu replied in a calm voice, with his words carrying a trace of memory, and occasionally flashes of sharpness in his eyes.

”I’m sorry...”

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu said, ”I didn’t know about these things...”

In her words, Leng Qingqiu was secretly surprised. She had not expected that the friends Lu Yu spoke of were all dead!

What had they gone through, and why did they meet such an end?!

”It’s okay.”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s apology, Lu Yu said calmly, ”You didn’t know about this, and ignorance is not to be blamed.”

In his words, Lu Yu’s eyes were full of memories.

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu nodded. She looked at Lu Yu in front of her and then said, ”Did they all die at the hands of people on Paradise Island?”

In her words, Leng Qingqiu also wanted to know how Lu Yu’s friends on Paradise Island had died.

”If they had died at the hands of people on Paradise Island, I would have felt much more relieved.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu seemed to recall something unpleasant. He looked at the dazzling, bustling street in front of him, resembling a sleepless city, and then said, ”However, they didn’t die at the hands of those on Paradise Island, but at the hands of an official organization...”

In his words, scenes of past events flashed through Lu Yu’s mind, memories from Beigang City gradually surfacing in front of him.

Two years ago, Lu Yu and his three companions escaped from Paradise Island, arriving desperately in Beigang City, where without exception, the three who fled with him ended up dying at the hands of an official organization!

Official organization!?

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu’s heart skipped a beat, and her eyes revealed a hint of shock.

She had been tempered in the marketplace for a long time, so she naturally understood what Lu Yu meant by ”official organization.” For a moment, Leng Qingqiu was silently stunned.

Friends who shared hardships did not die at the hands of the enemy but died at the hands of an official organization that should have rescued them. Even the thought of this situation made Leng Qingqiu’s heart ache.

”What happened after that?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu asked calmly. She was already feeling a sense of unease.

Lu Yu, with his formidable skills on Paradise Island, could not remain indifferent to the deaths of his friends at the hands of the official organization!

”After that, naturally, I had to avenge them!”

Speaking calmly, Lu Yu’s voice was exceptionally serene, giving a deep impression.

Indeed!

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu’s heart skipped a beat. Even though she was mentally prepared, she was still startled by Lu Yu’s words.

”How many people did you kill?”

Thinking of this, Leng Qingqiu asked directly, her words unusually concise.

Revenge always involves slaughter, and Leng Qingqiu was well aware of this.

”Twenty-four!”

In his words, a gleam flashed in Lu Yu’s eyes as his thoughts returned to that night two years prior.

Now Lu Yu could still remember the anger he felt when he saw his three companions lying in a pool of blood that night.

Now Lu Yu could still recall that night when he slaughtered twenty-four fully armed members of the official organization in Beigang City with a sharp knife!

The scene of blood splattering and non-stop wailing that night remained fresh in Lu Yu’s memory.

That was also the first time Lu Yu killed with fury beyond just survival!

That event led Lu Yu to become exceptionally averse to the official organization!

Twenty-four!

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu’s heart trembled, showing a hint of shock. She could never have imagined that Lu Yu had killed so many members of the official organization!

”Do you think I’m a bad person?”

Seeing Leng Qingqiu’s shocked expression, Lu Yu asked, his words full of somberness.

”No, I can understand how you felt at the time.”

At this moment, Leng Qingqiu spoke in a low voice, ”Friends who share hardships should not die at the hands of the enemy, but at the hands of an official organization meant to rescue them. In such a situation, even if it were me, I would find every way to avenge them.”

In her words, Leng Qingqiu spoke calmly.

”Thank you for understanding.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu smiled slightly and then said, ”Alright, let’s drop this topic. Tonight, I’m here to accompany you shopping. It’s not good to constantly bring up these things.”

”Mm.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu nodded, expressing her agreement.

Lu Yu’s past was truly too dark and bloody. Not only that, the darkness and bloodshed were permeated with despairing emotions. Such emotion was so oppressive that even as a mere bystander, Leng Qingqiu felt stifled and suffocated.

Now, looking at Lu Yu’s calm face in front of her, Leng Qingqiu couldn’t help but let out a heartfelt sigh.

How did this man manage to survive such a bloody and dark past without going insane?
