Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Lu Yu, after five years of honing his skills, was no longer the impulsive young man he had been. So when faced with Leng Qingqiu’s invitation, his first reaction wasn’t to get carried away with excitement, but rather to immediately pinpoint the suspicious parts in her words and ponder over them.

There’s always a reason for strange occurrences. Five years ago, if Leng Qingqiu had invited him out, Lu Yu definitely wouldn’t have thought so much. But now he was entirely different from five years ago, so he carefully considered this unusual invitation from Leng Qingqiu.

”That’s right.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu replied calmly, her expression very composed, as if she truly had nowhere else to go and was asking Lu Yu to pass the time with her: ”How about it? Are you not going to agree?”

In fact, it was true that Leng Qingqiu’s family was hosting a party, but having nowhere else to go was a part she made up on the spot.

The reason she did this was to have some close contact with Lu Yu and learn more about the traces of his past five years.

Last time, Lu Yu told her about a series of events on Paradise Island, which solved many of Leng Qingqiu’s questions but simultaneously left her with more mysteries and doubts.

For instance, since Lu Yu survived on Paradise Island for so long, how did he leave the island, and why did Nelson show such a deferential attitude towards Lu Yu a few days ago? These indeed made Leng Qingqiu incredibly curious.

Clearly, what Lu Yu talked about last time was probably just the tip of the iceberg of his experiences in these five years. There must be more secrets in Lu Yu’s heart that haven’t been revealed!

For this reason, Leng Qingqiu decided to use the opportunity of her family holding a party to get closer to Lu Yu, hoping to discover more clues from him.

”Agree!”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu smiled and said, ”When a beauty invites you, what’s the reason to refuse?”

Despite knowing Leng Qingqiu was probably planning something, Lu Yu still gladly accepted her invitation.

Because he knew that Leng Qingqiu was different from others. Even though she naturally appeared icy and distant, rejecting people from a thousand miles away, Lu Yu knew that Leng Qingqiu was one of the few in this world who would absolutely not harm him.

It was for this reason that Lu Yu agreed to Leng Qingqiu’s invitation.

”Alright then, in that case, I’ll wait for you after work today.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s answer, Leng Qingqiu spoke with a calm demeanor.

”No problem, see you after work this afternoon.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu slowly stood up, smiled slightly, and said, ”If there’s nothing else, I’ll go first.”

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu nodded, her gaze returning to the computer screen.

Seeing this scene, Lu Yu smiled, directly turned around, walked out of Leng Qingqiu’s office, and headed straight to the security department on the first floor.

However, at this moment, no one had noticed that there was a black flying insect clinging to the large floor-to-ceiling window outside Leng Qingqiu’s office.

This flying insect was entirely black, its body glinted with a metallic sheen in the sunlight, and its eyes flickered with faint red electronic signals, clearly an entity of bionic technology.

Just as Lu Yu left, this flying insect trembled slightly, then suddenly took off with vibrating wings, disappearing into the sky in an instant...

...

Time flew by, and before long it was evening.

Since Leng Qingqiu was the president of Victory Group, she didn’t have the same fixed working hours as regular employees. Typically, she preferred to finish her tasks before ending the day’s work.

At this moment, after finishing her work, it was already around eight o’clock in the evening.

Leng Qingqiu and Lu Yu walked out of Victory Group together, strolling through the bustling streets of Lin’an City, resembling a couple as they leisurely watched the passing cars.

To better enjoy the stroll, Leng Qingqiu specifically changed into a rather casual sports outfit, adding a touch of youthfulness and charm under her stunning appearance, creating a stark contrast with her usual strict and beautiful president style.

Although walking on the bustling streets, Leng Qingqiu didn’t feel the slightest bit irritable. She couldn’t remember the last time she wandered the streets like this.

All along, Leng Qingqiu had traveled daily between Victory Group and the Leng Family. Apart from necessary business activities, her life was almost a straight line of work and home, extremely monotonous.

And now wearing casual attire, the feeling of wandering the streets surprisingly brought her a rare sense of relaxation, which eased her normally distant aura.

”Lu Yu.”

Looking at the brilliant night scene before her, Leng Qingqiu suddenly spoke, her tone carrying a hint of subtle melancholy.

”What’s the matter?”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu responded calmly, his voice indifferent yet stable.

If it were five years ago, Lu Yu would definitely be exceedingly excited now, eagerly trying to cheer up Leng Qingqiu.

After all, five years ago, Lu Yu was still a youthful young man, vibrant and passionate. Back then, his heart was only filled with Leng Qingqiu.

And now, five years have passed; the dark and bloody past transformed Lu Yu from a spirited young man into a cold and deep individual. Though he still appeared youthful, his soul was already weathered with hardships.

This past was like a dagger, hardening his once fiery and tender heart, making it rigid and icy. Even a woman he once dreamed of can no longer make his heart race as intensely.

Now, Lu Yu only wishes to uncover the past, avenge his parents, and hasn’t thought about anything beyond that.

”Could you tell me more about your experiences on Paradise Island?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu asked, her tone carrying a hint of inquiry.

”I can.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu replied indifferently, ”What do you want to hear?”

Having already disclosed part of his experiences on Paradise Island to Leng Qingqiu, Lu Yu didn’t mind her bringing up the topic again.

”You lived on Paradise Island for so long; among those prisoners, did you have friends?”

Lleng Qingqiu asked softly, looking at Lu Yu with eyes like water.

Humans are social creatures and can’t fight alone. Even someone on high alert will always have one or two friends, which is why Leng Qingqiu asked.

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s body stiffened slightly. He slowly looked up at the sky filled with stars, took a deep breath, and said, ”Yes!”
