Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Watching Zhou Ruisheng leave in a fluster with Zhou Menglong, a mocking smile flashed in Lu Yu’s eyes. At this moment, he shook his head, then cast a sidelong glance at the group of thugs lying on the ground, and said coldly, ”What are you all doing lying there? Waiting for me to give you an award?”

As soon as these words came out, the thugs on the ground couldn’t help but shudder. They then struggled to get up from the floor one by one, stumbling out of the Victory Group’s lobby.

Their master had already knelt before Lu Yu and admitted his mistakes, leaving them with even less reason to stay.

Watching the thugs leave one by one, Lu Yu turned to the security team in front of him and said, ”Brothers, you’ve worked hard. Now, take a break. I’ll treat everyone to a good meal this noon!”

These thirty security guards, though his subordinates, had just fought fiercely. Treating them to a meal was a reasonable thing for Lu Yu to do.

”Great! Thank you, boss!”

After hearing Lu Yu’s words, the thirty or so security guards in unison expressed their gratitude and then headed towards the security department, each with big smiles on their faces.

Seeing this, Lu Yu shook his head with a smile. He then slowly made his way to the elevator, pressed the button, and headed straight for the rooftop of the Victory Group.

Back when the Lu Family’s business had not yet collapsed, Lu Yu used to like going to the rooftops of tall buildings to gaze into the distance and relax. At this moment, he intended to do the same.

The Victory Group building was one of the rarer tall buildings in the entire LA City. Lu Yu took the elevator to the top floor. As soon as he stepped out, a familiar female voice immediately reached his ears.

”Dad! Don’t push me. I’m an adult now. I make my own decisions about marriage. You can’t control my life!”

The voice sounded very emotional but carried a hint of vulnerability, one that Lu Yu found very familiar.

Upon hearing this, a slight alarm went off in Lu Yu’s heart, and he immediately continued to listen.

”Dad, all my life you’ve controlled my decisions, like studying abroad and choosing my major. Now you want me to be a pawn in a family marriage. I absolutely won’t agree. This time I won’t go back to the Capital no matter what!”

This female voice sounded extremely agitated. As soon as she said this, she instantly hung up the phone, and the sound of hurried high heels approached the elevator.

Hearing this sound, Lu Yu’s heart skipped a beat, and he quickly tidied his clothes, pretending he had just come out of the elevator. Turning around, he instantly saw Xia Bing, her eyes red, standing in front of him.

This sight made Lu Yu’s heart jump with surprise.

No wonder the voice had felt immensely familiar; the person making the call was actually Xia Bing.

”Lu Yu?”

Seeing Lu Yu, Xia Bing looked somewhat surprised, ”What are you doing here?”

”The security department is a bit stifling, so I came up to get some fresh air.”

At this moment, Lu Yu replied naturally. Then, noticing Xia Bing’s reddened eyes, he asked, ”Xia Bing, are you alright?”

”I’m fine, really.”

At this point, Xia Bing wiped her eyes, forcing a smile. Looking at Lu Yu, she said, ”I’m fine, just some family issues got me a bit worked up.”

”Well...I need to get going. It’s windy up here, so don’t catch a cold.”

Then, Xia Bing told Lu Yu and stepped directly into the elevator, heading downstairs.

”This little girl, hiding something from me indeed.”

Seeing the metal doors of the elevator close, Lu Yu muttered softly, ”It seems Xia Bing’s background isn’t ordinary. A family marriage? That’s not something just any family can afford!”

To be considered a family, it takes generations of accumulation and influence. Even the once-flourishing Lu Family was never called a family!

And family marriages are arrangements driven by interests between families!

It appears Xia Bing’s origin is not as simple as it seems.

”It seems every person has their struggles.”

Lu Yu gazed into the distant sky with a sigh. At that moment, his phone unexpectedly rang!

Upon hearing the phone ring, Lu Yu took it out and saw Yunting’s number displayed on the screen.

Seeing this, Lu Yu smiled slightly, pressed the answer button, and said, ”Hello?”

”Young Master Lu, I have two good pieces of news.”

As soon as the call connected, Yunting’s words came through instantly.

”Oh?”

After hearing this, Lu Yu smiled slightly and asked, ”What are these two good pieces of news?”

”The first is that I’ve just completely demolished Zhou Ruisheng’s dozen or so stores.”

Yunting’s voice sounded particularly excited, ”And the other is, I’ve got people who have found that underground sniper spot in LA City!”

Hum!

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s eyes instantly widened, his surprise evident.

He had asked Yunting to help investigate the underground sniper spot in LA City some time ago. This matter hadn’t had any updates for quite a while, and Lu Yu originally thought it might be too difficult. Yet Yunting now had actually found it!

”Where is this sniper spot? I’ll go there later!”

Hearing this news, Lu Yu asked, with a slight hint of excitement in his tone.

The mysterious sniper is now a key figure in investigating what happened to the Lu Family back then. Not long ago, Lu Jingchuan just died at his hands, and Lu Yu is now itching to drag this sniper out!

”Young Master Lu, don’t rush. It’s a bit complicated and hard to explain over the phone. How about this, come to my place early tomorrow and we’ll go together.”

Yunting’s voice was filled with sycophancy, replying quickly. However, there was also a faint hint of apprehension in his words.

”Alright!”

Lu Yu hesitated slightly upon hearing Yunting’s words, and then replied, ”I’ll meet you at your nightclub first thing tomorrow morning!”

Yunting was known as the head of notorious forces in LA City, and such a sniper spot should have originally been on his turf. Yet, Yunting’s words betrayed a hint of caution, indicating that the other party had some significant background as well.

Therefore, to be on the safe side, Lu Yu agreed to Yunting’s conditions this time.

Since his investigation progress regarding this matter was extremely slow anyway, one more day wouldn’t make much of a difference!

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Yunting’s voice on the phone instantly became incredibly ingratiating, ”Great, in that case, I’ll be awaiting your grand arrival first thing tomorrow morning.”
