Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

A moment later, just as Li Shengru was still in a daze, suddenly, the sharp sounds of brakes screeching pierced the air, and the metallic gates of the Li Family Manor were abruptly flung open. Three men in suits, surrounded by a dozen fully armed SWAT officers, strode directly toward the living room where Li Shengru was.

All the security guards in the manor were aimed at with guns by the armed SWAT officers, each with their hands on their heads, squatting on the ground, looking extremely embarrassed.

The atmosphere on-site suddenly became extremely tense!

Seeing the scene before him, Li Shengru’s face turned ashen. He never imagined that the actions of the disciplinary committee would be so swift, giving him no chance at all!

”Master, Master, what should we do now?”

Seeing the scene before him, the butler of the Li Family Manor, Song Ning, asked in a panic. After following Li Shengru for a long time, he was usually exceedingly arrogant but had never seen such a scene. Watching the armed SWAT officers approaching, he was instantly scared out of his wits!

”Let it be!”

Li Shengru sighed helplessly, seemingly aged ten years in an instant, looking extremely old and haggard.

If the bribery incident involving Li Shengru hadn’t blown up so big, he might still have been able to suppress it.

But now, the confession video of Yuan Xiaofei had already been viewed over a billion times online. With that as the backdrop, Li Shengru had no choice but to accept his fate!

Bang!

Just then, the door of Li Shengru’s living room was suddenly pushed open forcefully, and the man in the suit, flanked by armed SWAT officers, stepped up to Li Shengru, holding out an arrest warrant, and said: ”Li Shengru, you are suspected of bribing the Lin’an Police Station Chief Yuan Xiaofei. Please come with us for investigation!”

Upon hearing this, Li Shengru smiled bitterly. He didn’t shout loudly like an ordinary criminal because he knew, without solid evidence, the disciplinary committee wouldn’t make such a big fuss to arrest him.

Moreover, even if he wanted to argue, the confession video of Yuan Xiaofei on the internet had already explained everything. In the face of definitive evidence, Li Shengru had no other choice but to remain silent.

With that thought, Li Shengru slowly got up, shook his head, and then, supported by two SWAT officers, walked out of the Li Family Manor.

The crime of bribery involving an amount of more than fifty thousand yuan has a minimum sentencing standard of five years. Li Shengru had given Yuan Xiaofei a Vacheron Constantin watch valued at four million, not to mention the dealings he used to smooth relationships for his real estate projects.

This time, Li Shengru was bound to spend the rest of his life in prison!

By the time Li Shengru, escorted by the SWAT officers, reached outside the Li Family Manor, Lu Yu was standing among the crowd dressed casually, holding a steaming bun in one hand and hot soybean milk in the other, his face full of smiles.

”Oh my, isn’t this the real estate tycoon Li Shengru?”

When Lu Yu saw Li Shengru coming out, he shouted sarcastically, words full of mockery.

Upon hearing this, Li Shengru turned sharply, instantly spotting Lu Yu, and his eyes turned red in a moment. His downfall today was all because of Lu Yu standing right in front of him!

Thinking of this, Li Shengru roared in anger and charged at Lu Yu. However, living a life of luxury every day, he was not very strong. Furthermore, the SWAT officers beside him were prepared for him at all times. As soon as Li Shengru moved, he was instantly pulled back!

”What are you doing!? Stay put!”

The SWAT officer beside Li Shengru instantly commanded!

”I want to report!”

Facing Lu Yu with a smiling face, Li Shengru shouted loudly: ”The video on the internet was recorded by him, he’s not blameless in this!”

A beast will always fight back before it dies, let alone a living person like Li Shengru? Knowing he’s in deep trouble, he didn’t want to see Lu Yu go unpunished. Before his demise, he wanted to drag Lu Yu down, even if it’s just one last effort.

Upon hearing this, the man in the suit from the disciplinary committee instantly turned his gaze to Lu Yu. Then, he approached Lu Yu and asked, ”Sir, did you also participate in this matter?”

Upon hearing the man’s words, Lu Yu smiled slightly, showed the bun and soybean milk in his hands, and then said: ”Sir, words are just words, you can’t jump to conclusions without evidence. Look at me, I’m clearly just an innocent bystander passing by, having a bun. If you make false accusations, I could sue you for slander.”

”It’s him! He did it all!”

Li Shengru, despairing, shouted at the top of his lungs, trying to drag Lu Yu down. Now with the evidence clear, there was no escape for him.

”Honestly, Li Shengru, I wish I did, but I simply don’t have the power,”

Lu Yu took a casual bite of his bun, saying helplessly: ”I saw the video too; the watch alone is worth over four million. If I had that much money, would I still be here eating buns and drinking soybean milk?”

”And besides, tell me, what does this have to do with me?”

Lu Yu, with a face full of smiles, looked at Li Shengru and spoke with an air of invincibility.

Hearing this, Li Shengru’s face burned with redness, wishing deeply to prove Lu Yu’s involvement.

But he dared not!

His greatest crime now was simply bribery. If he mentioned having instructed Yuan Xiaofei to falsely accuse Lu Yu, it would be more than just life imprisonment!

Because this matter implicated not only himself but also his own son, Li Shengtao. Exposing it would mean both father and son would end up imprisoned for life!

Thinking of this, Li Shengru swallowed his words and fell silent.

”So, can’t say anything, can you?” Seeing the scene, Lu Yu shook his head and said to the man in the suit: ”Sir, you saw that? He’s speechless itself, so I’m just an onlooker with a bun, don’t mind me, carry on with your business.”

As these words were spoken, the man in the suit shook his head as well, and then turned to the SWAT officers, saying: ”Take him away!”

”Yes!”

Hearing the man’s words, the two SWAT officers promptly escorted Li Shengtao toward the police car.
