She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Victim: The Doctor Who Fell from the Building 20

The rest of the people hurriedly came to help after hearing Cui Ziqiu’s words.

Ah Chen waved her hand, refusing: ”I’m not going in.”

”If I go in, they’ll just try to kill me again.”

As soon as she said this, the crowd started causing a commotion, countless people began recording with their phones, a doctor who fell off the building and climbed up to say this seemed very credible.

Cui Ziqiu instantly felt a bit faint, he leaned closer and shouted: ”Doctor Xiang, are you too confused from the fall? Do you know where you are?”

”You’re in very bad shape now and need immediate treatment, if we don’t act promptly, it could very likely threaten your life.” He signaled to two people in the crowd dressed as nurses.

The two understood immediately and turned to fetch medicine, also taking out a syringe.

”Doctor Xiang, please cooperate, I believe your head might be confused from the fall, possibly experiencing hallucinations. For your safety, I must insist on taking you inside for treatment.” Cui Ziqiu spoke to the crowd again, ”We all hope Doctor Xiang can make it safely. As for what she just said, it might be just a hallucination from the fall, or lines from a TV drama. Such things can happen when the brain hallucinates.”

Regardless of whether the onlookers believed or not, Cui Ziqiu had only one thought now, to get Xiang Xiaojie inside. Of course, he couldn’t appear too aggressive in front of so many people; he needed to seem concerned about Xiang Xiaojie’s safety.

As for what happens if she can’t be saved afterward, considering the height of the hospital building, it wouldn’t be unusual, right?

What rumors are outside, there’s no evidence, what can be found? When the time comes, just buy some internet trolls and let the matter pass.

However, when the nurse came to hold Ah Chen down, she slapped her away.

These two nurses, one was Fang Yunfei, just an ordinary nurse, the other was Lou Shan, the head nurse who was in cahoots with Cui Ziqiu. The fact that the three of them appeared quickly here naturally meant they’d done something shady.

The three did not expect a person who had fallen off a building to still have such strength, they were caught off guard and stumbled.

Fang Yunfei and Lou Shan didn’t know what to do, if they acted too aggressively, with everyone filming, they’d surely be suspected.

Cui Ziqiu’s face darkened slightly, his voice raised: ”Doctor Xiang is not cooperating with the treatment, you all help hold her down, we must make her accept the treatment. Don’t be fooled by her appearance now, falling from such a height could very well have caused internal injuries, we must do a check right away!”

Although the other uninformed medical staff thought it was a bit odd, what Cui Ziqiu said was indeed reasonable.

But when they joined in to help, Ah Chen still pushed them away.

She scanned the crowd: ”My phone’s broken, does anyone have a spare I can borrow?”

Immediately someone handed her a phone, more than one.

Everyone realized something was wrong, a person who fell off a building pushing so many people away, that’s a significant strength, they saw the problem was with this Doctor Cui.

”Stop him!” Seeing Ah Chen got a phone, Cui Ziqiu could no longer keep it up, he lunged forward attempting to snatch it.

From such a height, even if the other party was still alive in his view, surely they couldn’t withstand for long.

No matter the impact, as long as he restrained the person and let her die again, all secrets would stay hidden.

More than being cursed or suspected, he feared the exposure of secrets, for that could ruin him forever.

Cui Ziqiu rushed forward, and Ah Chen kicked him away.

Cui Ziqiu fell onto the ground, grimacing in pain.

”Doctor Cui, why are you in such a hurry? Didn’t you consider this outcome when you threw me off the building?”

At those words, the crowd stirred.

Those medical staff who were unaware before had no intent to go forward to restrain Ah Chen anymore.

Though Doctor Xiang looked a bit disheveled, her eyes were clear, not like she was hallucinating. Now she’s pointed out it was Doctor Cui who threw her from the building; this matter isn’t simple!

They ought to call the police.

They were already reaching for their phones, but seeing Ah Chen had already dialed, they didn’t make their move.

”Under such circumstances, calling the police is necessary; whether Doctor Xiang’s words are true or not, once the police arrive they will naturally investigate, Doctor Cui, you need not worry.” Another doctor said.

Cui Ziqiu’s face turned pale.

How could she not be dead?

From such a height, Xiang Xiaojie isn’t made of iron, how could she not be dead?

It should have been flawless!

Ah Chen picked up the phone and dialed the police: ”Hello, someone tried to kill me, they threw me off a building, yes, I’ve already fallen. For specific details, I need you to come over; there are significant issues here regarding the trafficking of living organs. Additionally, I hold much evidence.”

Upon hearing Ah Chen’s words, the crowd stirred once more.

Cui Ziqiu’s face was devoid of blood, his body weak, now he was utterly finished.

How dare Xiang Xiaojie do this? How dare he? Is he not afraid of dragging his family down?

Oh, right, turns out the other party isn’t worried because he has no family, he’s alone.

”Doctor Xiang, are you all right?” A girl dressed as a nurse rushed from afar, her eyes red.

Ah Chen glanced at her, shaking her head with a blank expression: ”I’m fine.”

The girl was Jiao Qingqing, a young nurse who liked Xiang Xiaojie since he joined this hospital.

Yet Xiang Xiaojie, aside from fulfilling his duties as a doctor, never interacted privately with women, as if he was a machine only capable of treating patients.

Jiao Qingqing expressed her feelings softly at first, but was met with Xiang Xiaojie’s cold rejection, even some harsh words.

After that, there was only work-related contact.

As long as one doesn’t discuss feelings or plan to befriend him, he’d be an excellent partner to work with, anyone collaborating with him would find it easy.

But once interacting privately, everyone found he lacked social skills, his personality too strange, cold, like a machine devoid of emotion.

This is the impression all colleagues had of him.

Despite many’s mild dissatisfaction toward him, they respected him greatly due to his outstanding professional abilities; in the workplace, he’s always the most serious, dedicated, and meticulous. Such a person is admired wherever he goes.

It’s just that one can’t really be friends with him.

However, what people didn’t know is that Xiang Xiaojie was once an amiable, cheerful, and lively boy.

Therefore he acted like that because he didn’t want anyone involved with him, since what he intended to do was dangerous, anyone close to him could potentially be in trouble or become a liability.

Actually, he enjoyed interacting with many colleagues, felt drawn to the lively and kind-hearted Jiao Qingqing.

But he couldn’t.

Coming here, he bore the responsibility, investigating the truth behind his sister’s death.

He hadn’t been discovered because he and his sister were separated at a young age, he followed his father’s surname to live abroad, she followed their mother’s surname in the country. They had no contact in between, except email correspondence. The reason for suspicion around his sister’s death was her final email.
