She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 207: Chapter 207: Victim: Girl Murdered on a Rainy Night 7

The shadowy figure in the raincoat tried to struggle, but how could he overpower Ah Chen?

Before he could get up, Ah Chen grabbed his hand, turned him around, pinned both of his hands behind his back, and then stomped hard on the back of his neck. Now his face was against the floor, his teeth scraping the ground making some noise, his legs still flailing. Ah Chen pressed down with force, making him groan in pain and lose his strength.

Ah Zhen pulled out the man’s belt and tied his hands behind his back, only then did she let go, but her foot remained on the back of his neck, giving the criminal no chance to escape.

”Are you okay?” A voice came from the side, filled with shock and disbelief.

Clearly, it was hard to believe that the person covered in blood earlier was now up and about, subduing the culprit. The person who attacked him just now must be the attacker, right?

Qi Li snapped back to reality and quickly picked up his phone to take action.

”No need to call for emergency services, just report to the police directly,” Ah Chen reminded. This body was already dead; there was no need to rush to the hospital. It’s better to get the culprit to the police station as soon as possible for punishment.

”You’re covered in blood...” Qi Li paused upon hearing this. He hadn’t noticed before, not knowing where her wounds were, but he did see blood all over her clothes, which had frightened him just a moment ago.

He would occasionally spar with his cousin, practicing a bit, and had some skills, but he had never experienced a life-and-death struggle. Besides, he was just training for fun, and only had some reflexes. Honestly, if this girl covered in blood hadn’t suddenly jumped up tonight, he might not have made it out.

”Just call the police,” Ah Chen said.

Her tone left no room for refusal, and Qi Li, slightly intimidated, saw that she was indeed full of energy and felt somewhat relieved. He gave up on dialing the emergency services and promptly called the police.

After reporting it, he dialed another number. Seeing Ah Chen looking at him, he explained, ”My grandma’s house is not far from here, and conveniently, my cousin is there. I’ll ask him to come over for support. Oh, by the way, my cousin just got into the police academy. If nothing unexpected happens, he’ll certainly become a police officer in the future. Moreover, my uncle is also a police officer, so you don’t need to worry about anything; they’re good people.”

Including himself, he’s a good person too!

Seeing that Ah Chen didn’t respond or interrupt, Qi Li quickly made the call.

He used to be quite bold, but thinking back now, he still felt a shiver of fear.

Honestly, the current scene also scared him a bit; although the girl beside him seemed okay, her bloody appearance was still unnerving.

The call went through, and Qi Li lowered his voice slightly: ”Cousin, okay, I know you don’t want to go to the cyber cafe. I didn’t ask you to stay there all night. I was planning to head back; we’re not staying overnight. Something happened, come over quickly. Yeah, I just came back from the cyber cafe, passed by a dimly lit alley, suddenly saw a flash, went to take a look, and saw a person covered in blood lying there, then...” Before he could finish, the other side interrupted.

”Did you call the police? Is the person still alive? Did you call for emergency services? Where are you?”

”I called the police.” Qi Li gave the exact location, and seeing the other person about to hang up, he added, ”Bring the first aid kit. Here...”

”Got it.”

The call ended, and Qi Li awkwardly touched his nose, then smiled at Ah Chen, ”My cousin probably thinks I’m hurt. He never lets me finish.”

Ah Chen fully understood his cousin’s reaction. Why didn’t this person start telling the story from dinner?

”I’m Qi Li.”

”What’s your name?” Qi Li examined Ah Chen, but because of the dim lighting and angle, he still couldn’t clearly see Ah Chen’s situation.

Ah Chen responded with the name of this body: ”Ling Qian.”

Ling Qian, 17 years old, currently in her second year of high school, was a sensible, beautiful, and somewhat quiet girl. She was born into a warm and happy family, but misfortune struck in the second semester of her first year of high school, taking away both her parents unexpectedly.

Fortunately, she was grown enough, and her parents left her a house and some savings, allowing her to live without trouble, although the savings would surely dwindle bit by bit.

The culprit of the accident was destitute and couldn’t pay any compensation.

Ling Qian didn’t want to live off her reserves indefinitely, so she would do some work during the holidays.

She came home this late today because she was tutoring a child.

Her grades were top-notch, and even her teachers recommended her to the parents. Ling Qian cherished this job immensely, attending without fail regardless of the weather.

However, she never would have imagined that her life would end on this rainy night.

More shockingly, the person who attacked her was someone she couldn’t have possibly suspected.

Of course, as she was struggling, the villain, wrapped up tightly, slashed her throat. Although the villain had other intentions, tonight he certainly didn’t plan on letting her go, intending to commit a crime and then kill her.

The criminal had a record!

Ling Qian struggled fiercely, almost breaking free, which enraged the villain into slashing her throat out of shame. Watching her collapse, he wasn’t ready to let go, planning to carry out further actions.

But then Ah Chen inhabited this body, thwarting his plans.

As a fragment of this special small world, the villain’s previous and current crimes, as well as any future ones, had gone unnoticed. With his rising status and better reputation, the more chaos ensued, the more he committed such acts, and no one could hold him accountable.

”Where are you hurt?” Qi Li asked, his tone filled with concern.

Ah Chen replied, ”No problem.”

Where the injury was didn’t matter anymore since she couldn’t be saved.

Qi Li felt helpless, but hearing her speak with some vigor, he relaxed a bit. She seemed energetic; there shouldn’t be a major problem, but was it just blood loss? Yet, it was frightening.

She was quite brave, strong, and didn’t cry out in pain.

The rain seemed to have lessened a bit.

In the distance, car lights suddenly appeared; she looked up and saw the car approaching, stopping not far from them.

Qi Li glanced over, then said to Ah Chen, ”It’s my uncle’s car, my cousin must have driven it over.”

His cousin had gotten his driving license after the college entrance exam, hadn’t expected to use it this soon. Considering how inconvenient it was to walk over in this rain, his cousin probably thought he was injured, hence drove over, although they weren’t far anymore.

The car door opened, and a young man carrying a first aid kit got out.

”Here!” Qi Li quickly waved, his phone light was on, and he and Ah Chen were standing under a simple canopy, which was a bit dim.

The car accurately pulled up outside, thanks to the always-on light of Qi Li’s phone.

Jiang Xiang turned on the flashlight, shining it towards Qi Li’s location. Initially, he thought his cousin was injured, but hearing Qi Li’s voice sounded fine, there shouldn’t be a big issue. However, when he shone the flashlight over, it illuminated the figure next to his cousin.

Her light-colored top was soaked in bright red blood.

She wore jeans, which were wet, whether it was water or blood, he couldn’t tell.
