Chapter 218: Chapter 218: Victim: Death of the Honest Partner 18

Because Ah Chen dialed the police and said: ”I want to report a crime, someone has killed me, now these two people are trapped in the car, the location is...”

Xiang Yun and Huang Kejin stopped arguing and embraced each other, shaking like leaves as they stared at Ah Chen on the hood of the car.

”He’s really not human anymore.” Xiang Yun said.

Huang Kejin struggled to speak: ”How did he turn into a ghost just after being killed?”

”He died with grievances. Perhaps we shouldn’t have said so much earlier; maybe he heard it, especially about the children’s matters. He cherished those two kids.” Xiang Yun suddenly burst into tears, ”Brother Gao, can you let me go just once? Considering I’ve been with you for years and have taken good care of you, just let me off this one time.”

”Brother Gao, I really had no choice, you insisted on exposing the matter, and if it gets out, all my efforts will be wasted, and I’ll end up facing lawsuits and going to jail, unable to recover in this lifetime.” Huang Kejin began to complain and plead, the scene was simply ridiculous.

They kill people and still expect others to understand their difficulties.

Ah Chen doesn’t waste words with them.

If this weren’t a society ruled by law, she’d happily play some games and let them vie for a chance to live.

But considering she chose to call the police and let the law punish them, she wouldn’t do anything extra.

Talking sense to those selfish people rotten to the core is a waste of breath.

Originally, they did successfully hide the murder of Gao Chengyu. Xiang Yun relayed to Gao Chengyu, luring him to the spot, and Huang Kejin hid in the dark, struck him dead. Then they followed previous procedures, forever burying Gao Chengyu’s body beneath a skyscraper.

Gao Chengyu disappeared without a trace, and the body was never found; he seemingly walked away himself. Even if suspected he had been harmed, without finding the body and crime scene, nobody could do anything.

Gao Chengyu’s daughter suspected Huang Kejin, even Xiang Yun.

But they handled it so cleanly, as long as they didn’t open their mouths, it was useless to have anyone tail them, eventually even Gao Chengyu’s eldest daughter dropped her suspicions.

But the matter wasn’t over; years later, the building ran into issues, collapsed, causing numerous casualties. On later accountability, all the blame was pinned on Gao Chengyu. Because he was the main person in charge at the time, many signatures were his. Before his disappearance, all procedures were duly followed. At that time, Huang Kejin’s status had transformed, he practically had immense power. Coupled with the gradual chaos in order, even if someone wanted to slowly pursue and settle accounts, they never succeeded.

Gao Chengyu’s eldest daughter was implicated, troubled by those victims’ families, unable to withstand it she jumped to her death, from the part of the building that hadn’t collapsed.

Gao Chengyu’s parents also couldn’t bear the shock; they both passed away from illness.

They never believed Gao Chengyu was such a person, they knew their son well, they know there were surely many circumstances involved, someone must have targeted their son, he might even have been killed by them. But, the two elders could do nothing apart from despairing cries in their hearts.

While Huang Kejin and Xiang Yun continued to live gloriously, causing troubles in that area.

Xiang Yun and Huang Kejin discovered, regardless of their words, the cement figure on the hood remained silent, fiddling with a phone. That human-like appearance made them suspect if Gao Chengyu was still alive.

Waiting was dull too, coming to this world, Ah Chen always possessed dead people, and never played with a phone. Now she had a bit of time, took the chance to play, balancing work and play.

”Brother Gao, actually, you’re not dead, right? Isn’t it?” Xiang Yun squeezed out a smile, ”You’re just scaring us, right? You are lucky, you can’t die.”

Even if Gao Chengyu doesn’t forgive her, as long as he is alive, her sentence would be lighter, there’s a bit of hope.

”Brother Gao, is there no room for negotiation?” Huang Kejin followed up, ”Forgive us this once, I’ll give all my assets to you, not keeping a dime, will serve you as an ox or horse, do whatever you say, point east I won’t go west, if someone hits you, I’ll shield you, will that work?”

Ah Chen looked back at them with eyes full of mockery.

Even with cement still on her body, the eyes had fallen out of place, they could see that pair of ridiculing eyes, suddenly unsure what to say.

Ah Chen buried her head again playing on the phone, the people in the car tried pulling the door, still couldn’t open, dejected they leaned back in the car seat, murmuring to each other.

Merely speculating that Gao Chengyu wasn’t dead, his appearance was just to scare them.

Until the sound of police sirens arose, their hearts tightened but they exhaled in relief, feeling very conflicted.

Police officers came in according to location, saw the cement person seated on the hood, and then saw Xiang Yun and Huang Kejin inside the car pounding the window, screaming, a thought flashed in their minds, who seemed more like the victim?

Ah Chen saw a familiar face, Jiang Yishi.

Unlike other officers oblivious to the mysterious files, Jiang Yishi headed straight to the hood, he scrutinized for a moment, asked: ”You called the police, right? Gao Chengyu?”

Ah Chen nodded, jumped down from the hood, handed her phone to Jiang Yishi: ”There’s video and audio inside.”

It was a familiar style, Jiang Yishi’s eyelids twitched, seemed he was dealing with an old acquaintance...but was this person human? He was briefly confused, wearing gloves took the phone.

”Will you come back with us to make a statement?” Jiang Yishi asked.

The nearby officers were somewhat puzzled, actually quite strange, isn’t this person still alive? Looking cement-covered, they could imagine the crime scene, shouldn’t he go to the hospital?

Jiang Yishi still asked: ”Need to go to the hospital?”

Though presumably, it wasn’t needed.

Ah Chen shook her head: ”Not going to the hospital, I’ll go back with you, save you from having to carry.”

Jiang Yishi couldn’t help but laugh, still quite considerate, this one was always thoughtful.

Though didn’t know what this being was, their appearance indeed broke down cases that could be covered up.

Actually, Jiang Yishi had a premonition, this being’s appearance involved more than just solving a few cases.

What exactly was going on, he didn’t know either.

As a police officer, his intuition was always sharp.

There was definitely something inside, only he couldn’t guess it, or maybe it was something ordinary people could never fathom.

What was certain was, this one always held goodwill.

”Need to cover a layer? Will cause dirt.” Ah Chen asked.

Jiang Yishi said: ”No need.”

Afterwards, just wash up, what’s so dirty about cement, wash and it comes off. If someone’s heart is dirty, it won’t wash off easily, no cleansing agents can do anything.

As the car activated, Jiang Yishi suddenly said: ”My son also started university, he’ll be a police officer later.”

Might interact.

The kid would definitely be delighted.

Ah Chen: ...

Though she didn’t hide anything, but this old policeman was being too direct.
