Harry Potter.

The savior of the magical world, someone who had faced the Dark Lord head-on and won, the close friend of Sherlock Holmes.

Despite having all these titles, when his communications were cut off, he was still helpless.

At times like this, he couldn’t help but miss the days when he was by his good friend Sherlock’s side even more.

If Sherlock were here, he would probably have thought of a solution long ago, right?

Or if only he could contact him!

As long as Sherlock knew about his current situation, even remote guidance would surely provide a solution.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t make contact.

This was also what made Harry angriest.

He was angry at himself.

As a wizard who had grown up in a Muggle family, he had actually forgotten to ask Sherlock and Hermione for their home phone numbers before the holidays!

Actually, when he spent Christmas at Sherlock’s house last year, Hermione had given him her family’s phone number—the purpose was for him to call her when Mycroft appeared.

But later he didn’t call Hermione, and he forgot the phone number as well.

Recently, whenever he thought about this, Harry wanted to laugh at his own stupidity.

Having only been in contact with the magical world for a year, he had become far too dependent on magical world communication methods.

Harry had seriously reflected on this.

He finally determined that it was mainly because his previous life with the Dursleys had been truly terrible.

So, when Hagrid told him he was actually a wizard, he quickly identified with this identity.

Especially during his year at Hogwarts, his identity as the savior of the Wizarding world gave him a completely different feeling from the Muggle world.

His sense of identification with his wizard identity had grown stronger and stronger.

So, he had forgotten even the most basic common sense.

But now the milk was spilled, even being angry was just helpless rage.

In this situation, Harry could only try his best to imitate Sherlock’s way of thinking.

He had thought about this more than once.

”What would Sherlock do if he encountered this situation?”

Harry thought for a long time but was still at a loss.

Because he found that he simply couldn’t put himself in Sherlock’s mindset.

Although the other person was his friend, he had to admit—that guy just wasn’t normal.

Just when Harry was wondering whether he should put on his invisibility cloak and track Hedwig one more time.

Things suddenly took a turn for the better.

This morning, Uncle Vernon suddenly announced to the family that he might make the biggest deal of his life today.

This was because he had successfully invited a wealthy builder and his wife to come to their house for dinner.

Uncle Vernon certainly wasn’t being charitable.

His purpose was to secure a large order from them.

In fact, when Sherlock and Harry had come to Privet Drive together during last Christmas holidays, Sherlock had already deduced this.

Originally, Harry had thought this matter was over.

It wasn’t until he returned to Privet Drive for summer vacation that he learned the builder had stood them up for some unknown reason.

Although Uncle Vernon was furious, faced with this situation, he could only rage helplessly.

The customer was king, especially such a super big client.

Fortunately, during this recent period, Uncle Vernon had used all his skills and finally got that big client to agree to come to their house for dinner.

The entire Dursley family naturally took this matter very seriously and prepared carefully.

For this, Uncle Vernon even promised his usually unwelcome nephew:

As long as Harry stayed in his bedroom without making a sound, pretending he wasn’t home.

Then Uncle Vernon would personally drive Harry out tomorrow.

Not to chase Hedwig, but to go directly to Diagon Alley in London.

That’s right, Diagon Alley!

Because Uncle Vernon thought chasing a flying owl by car was too stupid, Aunt Petunia had given this suggestion.

”That friend of yours called Holmes... or Hulmes?

Didn’t he say last time he came to our place?

Those hair growth potions and weight-loss pills were bought at Diagon Alley, right?

That place isn’t far from here, and you can completely go to the place where he bought those things to find help.”

Harry was both surprised and delighted.

Although he couldn’t track Hedwig, if he could go to Diagon Alley, that would be much more suitable than chasing an owl!

After all, who knew where the person intercepting the owl would strike.

Moreover, owls could fly through the air without terrain obstacles, and tracking a flying animal by car was quite difficult.

But Diagon Alley’s location was fixed—it was right behind the Leaky Cauldron and wouldn’t run away.

More importantly, as Aunt Petunia had said, once he got there, he would definitely be able to get help from many people.

Whether it was the Leaky Cauldron’s landlord or the shopkeepers in Diagon Alley.

Having visited the wand shop again last Christmas, Harry felt he and Mr. Ollivander could be considered acquaintances, right?

Why hadn’t he thought of this solution?

How stupid!

In any case, since Uncle Vernon was willing to help, Harry was naturally happy to cooperate.

He hadn’t wanted to meet any Mr. and Mrs. Mason anyway.

Besides, according to Uncle Vernon, the Masons didn’t know about him at all.

Let this situation continue.

It was fine.

It was precisely for this reason that when Uncle Vernon was rehearsing tonight’s arrangements with Aunt Petunia and cousin Dudley, Harry was surprisingly watching with great interest.

Even though every time Uncle Vernon assigned him a task, it was ”I stay in my bedroom, don’t make a sound, and pretend I’m not home.”

When he heard Dudley say, ”Mr. Mason, the teacher asked us to write about someone we admire most, so I wrote about you,” Harry didn’t even hide his head under the table and laugh.

He was surprised by this himself—it was simply incredible.

Moreover, Harry even felt that Dudley, who was saying this, looked somewhat handsome.

This proved three things:

Harry was in a very good mood. Dudley’s foundation wasn’t actually bad. The special weight-loss pills really worked.

Harry, in his excellent mood, not only accompanied the Dursley family in completing the evening’s guest rehearsal but also volunteered to do chores.

Cleaning windows, washing the car, trimming the lawn, tidying the flower beds, pruning and watering the roses, repainting the garden bench...

When spreading fertilizer in the flower beds, he was exhausted with back pain, and sweat kept flowing down his cheeks.

However, thinking that he would be able to reconnect with his friends from the magic school tomorrow, he was extraordinarily happy.

It was this joy that greatly reduced the fatigue from working and even continued into the evening.

When Mrs. Dursley saw Harry’s exhausted appearance, her expression was somewhat complicated.

”Nobody asked you to do it to this extent... really...”

But she quickly pointed with her hand and said sternly,

”Go eat quickly! The guests are about to arrive!”

Harry looked in the direction she pointed and saw that dinner had already been set on the kitchen table for him.

Although it couldn’t be called abundant, it was passable.

This surprised him somewhat.

He had originally thought he would only get a few pieces of bread and cheese.

Noticing that Aunt Petunia was already wearing a light orange cocktail dress, Harry said sincerely:

”Aunt Petunia, you look really beautiful today.”

If even cousin Dudley could seem handsome, then his mother’s sister could naturally become beautiful too.

Aunt Petunia looked at Harry with some surprise, then snorted coldly.

”Stop the nonsense and eat quickly!”

Harry nodded and quickly demonstrated the skills he had learned from his good friend Ron, devouring his dinner like a whirlwind.

As soon as he finished eating, Aunt Petunia took away his plate and told him to hurry upstairs.

Harry naturally complied.

He keenly noticed that when Aunt Petunia turned around, she was even humming a tune, so she seemed to be in a good mood.

Harry was also in a good mood.

When passing the living room door, he greeted Uncle Vernon and Dudley, who were dressed in suits and bow ties.

Dudley waved at him, while Uncle Vernon said fiercely,

”Get upstairs quickly! Remember, boy—if you dare make a sound...”

”I guarantee that absolutely won’t happen...”

Before Uncle Vernon could finish his threat, Harry quickly said.

Just kidding, this was the opportunity to reconnect with the magical world!

How could he possibly do something so stupid?

Impossible, absolutely impossible!

Harry tiptoed all the way to his bedroom door, quietly slipped in, and closed the door.

He prepared to throw himself onto the bed and sleep until dawn.

He didn’t have a habit of snoring anyway, and he could conveniently wish his uncle success in getting the order in his dreams.

However, just as he was about to lie down, he abruptly stopped his forward momentum.

Because someone was already sitting on the bed.

An unexpected visitor’s sudden arrival was surprising enough.

When he saw the visitor’s appearance clearly, Harry almost screamed out loud.

But remembering that Uncle Vernon’s guests were about to arrive, he forcibly held it in.

The unknown creature sitting on his bed was small in stature, with a pair of prominent green eyes the size of tennis balls, a thin and long nose, and two bat-like large ears.

Its uncovered skin was somewhat similar to the goblins he had seen at Gringotts.

Besides this, it was wearing a tattered pillowcase with several holes cut in the arms and legs.

As if it were being used as clothing.

Even though he had never seen one before, Harry could tell at a glance that it wasn’t human!

”What exactly are you...”

Harry almost blurted out.

But he quickly realized that saying this wasn’t very polite, so he changed his words,

”I mean... who are you, and what are you doing here?”

The unexpected visitor heard Harry’s question, slid down from the bed, and bowed deeply to Harry.

The angle was almost ninety degrees, with his thin nose nearly touching the carpet.

”Is he from Japan?”

Seeing this scene, Harry couldn’t help but frown deeply.

”Mr. Harry Potter!”

The visitor immediately called out Harry’s name, then introduced himself.

”I am the house-elf Dobby. Dobby has always wanted to meet you, Mr. Potter... Meeting you today is truly an honor...”

”I see!”

Harry responded verbally, but still didn’t understand what a house-elf was.

At this time, he couldn’t help but envy his good friend Hermione.

If she were here, she would definitely know what this was—she seemed to have eaten the textbooks.
