A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1596: Youʼre Not Bothered?

Archer watched as the Terravian God rushed toward him, but he dodged one punch, a grin crossing his face as he lashed out. His face crashed against the foeʼs chin, causing a loud boom to echo out. The enemy was sent flying toward the ground and crashed into it, making the ground shake.

He didnʼt give the opponent any chance to react and surged forward, mana rushing over his body just as he slammed into the Terravian and started using his claws to tear into the beingʼs body; blood flew everywhere. Moments later, the creepy humanoid wasnʼt given in and began to hit him.

Booms thundered through the air as the enemyʼs blows shattered scales from his hide, but he shrugged off the pain and lunged forward, sinking his fangs into the humanoidʼs shoulder. Bone crunched like dry twigs under the force of his jaws, wrenching a guttural scream of horror from the deity.

Archer shook his head, tearing skin, muscle, and bones. Arcs of blood exploded from the wound, sizzling against his skin, but the pain only fueled his rage, a fire that drowned out the searing agony of his own cracked ribs. With a twist, he pulled the shoulder free in a spray of gore and fractured bone, the severed limb dangling from his mouth like a trophy.

The enemy staggered back, clutching the ragged stump with its remaining hand, and blood poured out like a broken pipe. Its eyes widened in terror, the air around it warping as waves of fury combined. ʼʼYou, abomination,ʼʼ it rasped, voice a fractured echo of thunder, summoning horrible-looking green chains that lashed out like whips.

When Archer spotted this, a wild smile crossed his face as he spat the mangled flesh aside and transformed into his massive dragon form. Once that was done, he reared up on hind legs, wings unfurling like shadowed sails to blot the sky. A bellow ripped from his depths, shaking the world.

They shattered against his scales, exploding in harmless blooms of light, and he charged, claws raking furrows through the stone, breath coiling hot and venomous in his chest, ready to unleash the inferno that would end the God. Moments later, a torrent of violet flame washed toward the enemy.

The Terravian God raised a shimmering shield of green mana, but the barrier buckled thanks to the power of his dragon flames. Cracks spiderwebbed across its surface, each fracture leaking pulses of green light. The God retaliated, hurling spears of molten fire that streaked like comets.

Archer twisted mid-charge, his tail lashing one aside while his scales absorbed another, the impact resonating like a struck anvil. Pain only fueled his rage. With a guttural snarl, he launched skyward, wings cutting through the air. The enemy chanted in a tongue older than worlds, summoning a vortex of more chains to bind his limbs.

But Archerʼs sheer might tore through them; they disintegrated like ash in a storm. He dove down, transforming into his humanoid form, jaws wide, fangs gleaming like daggers. The Godʼs eyes widened in fear as his jaw closed around its remaining arm. With a whip of his neck, he flung the god skyward.

His wings snapped shut, and he coiled, muscles surging as he sprang after it. Claws raked through the deityʼs body, shredding it into fading wisps. The enemyʼs scream echoed, a sound that shook the stars themselves, but he wouldnʼt give up. His tail lashed out, coiling around the Terravianʼs throat like a noose of living iron.

As they plummeted together, Archer unleashed a final roar. His chest glowed with the promise of annihilation, and a second wave of flame engulfed the Terravian God. Its body unraveled, bursting into a thousand dying sparks that rained across the battlefield. The foeʼs essence dissolved, leaving only silence.

Moments later, he slammed into the scorched earth. He used his claws to slow himself down before he slid along the ground. Triumph blazed in his eyes as he scanned the devastation heʼd caused. Pushing himself upright, he grimaced thanks to his wounds, but soon they began to heal as his vision swam for a heartbeat.

He soon steadied himself as a portal tore open in front of him, revealing a picture of Thrylos, putting a smile on his face. With a weary sigh, he stepped through, leaving the ruins of the Terravian world behind. Following that, he reappeared in the palace on Draconia thanks to killing the God, allowing him to escape the realm.

It was deep into the night, shadows cloaking the palace corridors where the Oathkeepers stood like silent sentinels at measured intervals, ever vigilant against intruders. The halls lay hushed and empty, save for the soft glow spilling from a nearby lounge, where Maeve, Ashoka, and Inara lingered.

Archer, drawn by the murmur of voices, approached to find them gathered around a table, steaming cups of tea in hand as they spoke. When the three noticed him, their faces lit up with happiness. The Tigress rushed toward him and wrapped her arms around his shoulder, planting a love-filled kiss on his cheek.

ʼʼMy love, we want to back out of the war to have the babies,ʼʼ she admitted, her ears drooped down. ʼʼThe others will cover for us if youʼre worried on that front.ʼʼ

ʼʼNo, Iʼm not bothered,ʼʼ he revealed. ʼʼWe can pause it for now, weʼve taken two full continents and a part of Orientia. This will allow the empire to adjust to the billions of new citizens that are thriving under our rule.ʼʼ

When the group heard this, they got even happier as Maeve spoke up. ʼʼYouʼre not bothered? We thought youʼd be angry with it.ʼʼ

Archer shook his head, laughing. ʼʼNo, you ladies have done wonders for me since the war began. Take your time to relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.ʼʼ

Just then, he remembered the older brunette who was hurt during the first fight with the Terravian God. He turned to the trio and apologized. ʼʼMy loves, I have to go see Brooke; she was hurt before I got sent into the Terravian Realm.ʼʼ

They all nodded in understanding as Archer vanished, channeling his magic through the intricate tattoo on the older womanʼs arm to teleport straight to her side. Brooke lay in her sunlit room, propped against a pile of pillows on the bed, a worn book open in her lap. At his sudden appearance, she glanced up, her emerald eyes sparkling with unfeigned joy.

ʼʼHello, my little light,ʼʼ she murmured, setting the book aside. ʼʼIʼm so glad youʼve returned so soon. Our daughter is due any day now.ʼʼ

Archerʼs heart swelled at her words, a soft smile breaking across his face. He crossed the room in two strides, gently wrapping his arms around her and drawing her into a warm cuddle. He shivered when the older womanʼs scent rushed up his nose. ʼʼThatʼs good, the rest of the pregnancies should be due now.ʼʼ

ʼʼHalime, Llyniel, Kassandra, Maeve, Ashoka, Inara, and Nala are all ready to pop,ʼʼ Brooke revealed, ʼʼLooks like youʼll have your hands full in the next few weeks.ʼʼ

ʼʼYes I know,ʼʼ he replied, smiling. ʼʼGonna relax before the Alliance tries to attack us again.ʼʼ

The older woman giggled before changing the subject. ʼʼHow was the realm you entered? Did you level it?ʼʼ

Archer stiffened at those words, remembering his daughter, and decided to tell Brooke everything. By the time he was finished, the brunette was shocked by it all, but a giant smile appeared on her pretty face. ʼʼIʼm happy you met them. I knew your children would be special; this is something else.ʼʼ

ʼʼTheyʼre powerful but still young,ʼʼ he muttered, remembering each one. ʼʼIʼm going to go see the babies soon, feels like forever since I have.ʼʼ

ʼʼGood idea, I heard from the others that Tarek and Isis have missed you,ʼʼ Brooke said. ʼʼNefertiti asked me to tell you to come see her once youʼre done here.ʼʼ

Archer nodded, sitting next to the heavily pregnant woman, wrapping his arm around her, and the duo stayed like that for a while as Brooke filled him in on everything sheʼd been up to. He found out that the brunette was helping the other women out with the pregnancies, as some had been moody.

By the time they finished, she grew tired and let out a loud yawn before he tucked her in, urging her to sleep. Once Brooke was letting out snores, he left her behind and teleported to Nefertitiʼs room, where the twins were awake, but the succubus was sound asleep. When the babies saw him, they erupted into excited babble.

He quickly cast a shield around his pink-haired wife to keep her from waking up as he saw his twins. Archer approached, pulling silly faces at them, and climbed into their cot. They tumbled onto him, letting out excited noises as he picked up Isis, placing her on his lap as Tarek was standing up, leaning against him.

ʼʼHello there, my little empress and my sweet boy,ʼʼ he greeted warmly. ʼʼItʼs good to see you two, Iʼve missed you both so much.ʼʼ
