A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1567: No, I Was Taunting Her

Archer was now standing in front of the mana generator, which Halime needed to recharge. The snake woman was bouncing around, excited. ʼʼThank you for this handsome. I havenʼt needed to charge it since the last time. We donʼt use that much, only to boost the toxins of the Black Devils.ʼʼ

ʼʼInteresting,ʼʼ he mused and placed his hand on the machine Dellah created. ʼʼNow it will be fully shortly.ʼʼ

Moments later, Archer sent a stream of mana into the generator, and the couple witnessed it lighting up with violet energy. After a few seconds, he stepped back, speaking. ʼʼItʼs all done, is there anything else I can do for you, my love?ʼʼ

Halime shook her head and hugged him, excitedly exclaiming. ʼʼThis will help out a lot! Thanks for all your help!ʼʼ

Following that, the snake woman rushed off to get back to her experiments with an adorable giggle. Just then, Aisha sent him a message. ʼHusband, we have eastern envoys here at the headquarters who wish to speak to you at the palace.ʼ

Archer sighed, replying. ʼAlright, Iʼll head there now.ʼ

With a lingering glance at Halime, he said his farewells and teleported back to the palace on Draconia, and in an instant, he materialized in the foyer. The vast marble hall echoed thanks to the faint hum of magic, its towering pillars decorated with carvings that gleamed under the mana lightsʼ glow.

To his surprise, three familiar figures awaited him: Ella, Kassandra, and Ayrenn. Their presence was unexpected, yet the sight of them made him smile. The Half-Elf stepped forward first. ʼʼAisha sent word,ʼʼ she said, a concerned expression on her face. ʼʼEastern envoys are arriving soon. Weʼre here to be with you, just in case things take a turn, knowing how people love taunting.ʼʼ

He offered a smile, brushing off the tension that hung in the air. ”I appreciate the backup, but Iʼm not here for their petty provocations or political games. Let them sling their insults, Iʼve got thicker skin than that.ʼʼ

Kassandra gave a bright smile as she cracked her knuckles. ʼʼIf they try anything funny, Iʼll crush them within seconds.ʼʼ

Ayrenn, ever the strategist, adjusted her spectacles and added. ʼʼStill, itʼs wise to be prepared. The eastern lords are known for their cunning. Weʼll keep things civil, but weʼre ready if they arenʼt.ʼʼ

With a shared understanding, the four turned and made their way toward the grand hall at the far end of the palace. The corridor stretched, its walls lined with paintings showing the many Draconian victories. Their footsteps echoed in rhythm. Aisha chose the diplomatic wing to keep the meeting far from their private quarters.

The hall ahead awaited, and shortly after, the envoys would arrive. Sometime later, Archer watched as the Oathkeepers escorted several figures into the grand hall. They were a mixed bunch. A few humans, Demi-Humans, and a single Orc caught his attention. ʼI wonder if sheʼs from the Green Sea Ashoka mentioned.ʼ

But soon enough, he was staring at the older woman standing there, a smug smile on her face as she looked at Ayrenn and scowled at the High-Elf before rudely speaking. ʼʼIf I knew you entertained whores, I would have brought some of our best, Dragon Emperor.ʼʼ

When Ella, Kassandra, and Ayrenn heard the strangerʼs words, a surge of anger ignited within them, their eyes blazing with indignation. Their faces flushed with the heat of their emotions, and their hands clenched into fists, ready to challenge the audacity of this outsider who dared to stir such unrest.

But before their anger could erupt into words or actions, Archer raised a single hand, a gesture both commanding and dismissive, silencing the hall. His gaze swept over the trio, and when he spoke, his voice was laced with disdain, as if he had seen through the strangerʼs games from the moment they began.

ʼʼWhat purpose does my anger serve youʼʼ he asked, his words measured and cutting, each syllable dripping with indifference. ʼʼA burning capital, reduced to ash and ruin? A royal family slaughtered, their blood staining the thrones you so clearly covet? Tell me, what do you gain from provoking me into chaos?ʼʼ

His words hung heavy in the air, sharp like a blade slicing through the tension. Everyone fell into a stunned silence, the weight of his accusations settling over everyone present. Ella, Kassandra, and Ayrenn, their rage momentarily eclipsed by shock, turned to him with expressions that flickered between astonishment, confusion, and a dawning realization.

Their eyes, wide and searching, locked onto his face, as if seeing him anew. Ellaʼs brows furrowed, her lips parting slightly as she grappled with his words. Kassandra softened, her head tilting as she studied him, while Ayrennʼs sharp gaze narrowed, her mind clearly racing to unravel the strangerʼs true intentions.

The three women stood frozen, their earlier fire tempered by the chilling clarity of his insight, as the room pulsed with the unspoken question. Who was this man, to see so deeply and speak so boldly? He laughed at their reactions before turning back to the older Demi-Human woman.

Archerʼs gaze sliced through her venomous words, fixing on the striking figure of a wolf Demi-Human, her beauty sharpened by the fire of age. Her fiery red hair blazed like molten copper, threaded with silver that only amplified her presence, framing a face where fierce blue eyes burned with a volatile mix of defiance and seductive charm.

Her muscular but curvy body, radiating the bold confidence of a mature woman, sparked a reckless heat in him. With a roguish grin, he leaned in, voice dripping with teasing provocation, ”Or have you stormed into my path to drag me into your bed? Because I do love women your age.ʼʼ

When the three women heard this, they rolled their eyes as Ayrenn slapped his arm. ʼʼStop being greedy, you have over thirty wives and over ten children. Thereʼs no time for other women!ʼʼ she told him off.

Archer chuckled but pointed at the wolf woman. ʼʼBut if she joins, it will be only sex and to solidify my hold over Orientia. Plus, she is older like Brooke and Sia.ʼʼ

ʼʼYou clearly have mother issues, my love,ʼʼ Kassandra whispered into his ear, sending a shiver down his spine.

Moments later, the eastern envoyʼs blue eyes flashed with fury, cheeks flushing a hot scarlet as she bristled, her tail snapping sharply behind her. ʼʼHow dare you, you insolent cur!ʼʼ she spat, her voice sharp and cutting. ʼʼIʼm Hana, and Iʼd sooner claw your eyes out than entertain your filthy notions!ʼʼ

Archerʼs smile widened at her words. He stood up and spoke. ʼʼWell, if youʼre ready to talk, then do not insult my wife, and Iʼll return the gesture, but the next time you do...ʼʼ

He vanished and appeared behind the older woman, holding one of his claws against her throat. ʼʼI will behead you and burn your entire homeland to the ground, wolf,ʼʼ he concluded by pushing her away from him. ʼʼNow rest for a while. We can revisit this conversation tomorrow when youʼre calmer.ʼʼ

Following that, Archer led the three women out as the Oathkeepers ushered them out of the hall. Once alone, Ella turned to him with a raised eyebrow. ʼʼAre you going to fuck that woman after she insulted Ayrenn?!ʼʼ

ʼʼNo, I was baiting her,ʼʼ he admitted, grinning. ʼʼAs a high noble, sheʼs not used to being challenged like that. It forced the real Hana to show herself, and now we know theyʼre here to stir up trouble.ʼʼ

Upon hearing his words, the trioʼs faces brightened. Kassandra impulsively threw her arms around him. ʼʼI knew you wouldnʼt act so recklessly! You had me worried for a moment there.ʼʼ

Archer chuckled at this and hugged her back. ʼʼI have enough women, I donʼt want or need any more for now,ʼʼ he explained.

ʼʼWell, what are you going to do about the envoys?ʼʼ Ella questioned.

ʼʼI could kill or send them away,ʼʼ he muttered, his tail swaying side to side. ʼʼI have no interest in their offers or sweet words, Iʼm going to conquer their lands either way.ʼʼ

The four retreated to their quarters, where he led the women to his chamber. They shared a lively night before falling asleep in each otherʼs arms. At dawn, Archer dispatched one hundred Oathkeepers to expel the envoys from Draconia. The looks on their faces amused him to know end.

He watched the ship sail away, but then explosions rocked the port city of Dragonshore, causing him to target the ship with an overcharged Mana Blast. The violet blast streaked through the air and slammed into the metal vessel. Seconds later, it exploded into pieces, flying all over the place.

Archerʼs eyes shone when the eastern ship sank to the bottom of the sea, only to be hoovered up by the Mining Platforms. Once that was settled, he returned to Orienta, where Ashoka was leading the invasion, conquering castles, winning over enemy cities and people by helping them.

ʼLooks like the legions donʼt need any help,ʼ he mused, flying above a ongoing battle that Maeve was leading.
