Pregnant During An Apocalypse [BL]

Chapter 57: Chapter 57 - Want a chance

Yunfeng froze up, touching his cheek. Did he just...?

He watched Muchen take the wooden bento from his side and close it properly.

It must have been an accident...

”Yunfeng... Do you wish to date me?”

He blinked up at him. What does he mean ’wish to’? Is he trying to check if I have feelings for him? Did he find out something... I think Hana blurted out something... What happens if I admit it? Will he date me? No, I think he will keep his distance... Why would he want me...

Muchen was a popular actor, and he had to cater to his fans. Most likely, he would not date Yunfeng because of that. Even if there was a slight chance Muchen agreed to date him, their relationship would be in the dark, hidden from prying eyes. He would feel like an unwanted side chick if that happened.

What am I supposed to say... I don’t know. I don’t know what to do... I wish to date him. But I can’t... my... my feelings are not there yet...

This was just a pheromone dependency that he was feeling toward the only alpha in his life.

He did not wish to start a relationship only because of their pheromones.

He wanted to start a relationship with a person with whom he fully and completely fell in love. A person he would not be able to sleep without. A person whose face he wanted to look at every morning when he woke up in his bed.

Do I want that with Muchen?

Taking a deep breath, he gazed up at him. ”Muchen, I...”

Muchen immediately cupped his mouth tightly. ”No! Don’t... don’t answer right now!”

Yunfeng softly frowned.

Ren Muchen sat down with a small sigh. ”I was being hasty. We barely know each other yet I...” he gazed at him intently. ”Don’t answer yet. I want us to get to know each other. I want you to know me as a person before you can give me that answer... will you allow me that chance?”

He slowly removed his trembling hand.

Yunfeng blankly looked at his blushing face. ”Y-yes... I... I want to get to know you. I want to know what color you like, and what ticks you off. I want to know what dishes you like and what kind of scent you like... I want to know everything before I can answer...”

Muchen smiled dazzlingly. ”Okay... let’s get to know each other.” Saying so, he took the small vase from his hand. ”I’ll get you better flowers next time.”

”These are beautiful,” Yunfeng pulled the vase close, hugging it tightly. ”Seriously though, where did you get this from?”

”Right outside. They had a patch of flowers. I didn’t want to come empty-handed, and the flower shops were quite far.”

Yunfeng laughed out loud. ”Fresh off the ground. Very organic indeed.”

”That’s what I said.” Muchen giggled subtly. ”They looked good until now. Such an embarrassment,” he flicked off the limp heads of the flowers.

Yunfeng protected it in his embrace. His soft eyes fell on the flowers with a smile. How do I keep them alive forever... but I think these flowers will die off soon? I want to dry them.

He took out his phone and searched for methods to dry flowers.

Muchen sat in the seat with a bright smile on his face. Even though he did not get the answer he wanted, he still got the next best answer. This is also good. We can get to know each other slowly and then he can be sure about our relationship.

Thinking about it, he met Yunfeng only a month or so ago. They met in an accident and soon the young man filled his entire being. He was not able to get him out of his mind.

He looked around awkwardly in silence. Suddenly, his eyes fell on the flowers that he had tossed in the trash bin. Who gave him that? Was it that guy? Tsk, that guy is annoying. Why was he touching Yunfeng like that? That’s not what friends usually do. He is my competition. I need to up my game if I want Yunfeng as my own.

Muchen nodded to himself.

Subtly, he looked at Yunfeng smiling at the flowers. He really liked that... see, he likes my flowers much more than what you gave him! He likes me more. Hmph. Yunfeng likes me!

He puffed up his chest with confidence. ”Ahem... when will you get discharged?”

”Tomorrow morning, likely.” Yunfeng looked his way with that smile still on his face.

”I’ll come pick you up.”

”No, it’s not necessary.”

”No, I want to.” Muchen scooted close and, with a trembling hand, gently touched his hand. ”Can I?”

Yunfeng gulped loudly. His fair face suddenly turned a subtle shade of red. ”M-my mum will come to pick me up.”

”Oh...”

”I can introduce you to her.” Yunfeng shyly gazed up at him. ”As my friend. Is that okay?”

Muchen nodded like he was pounding ginger. ”Yes, yes!”

Inside, he was panicking hard!

He had met his mother before, but it was not in a good light.

I need to impress her this time!
