Pregnant During An Apocalypse [BL]

Chapter 52: Chapter 52 - Embarrassed

His testosterone levels did not go down even late in the evening, so the doctors had no option but to admit him for the night. As soon as he heard of this, he panicked.

”What if they find out I’m different... I don’t want to be experimented on?” he anxiously gazed at his mom. ”Please, let’s just go! I don’t want to be here.”

”Silence. They are doing further tests on you. Just rest, okay? Mum will be right here,” she soothingly massaged his frowning forehead.

”But I can’t be here!”

A group of nurses and doctors rolled into the room and started to talk in medical jargon. This only made him panic even more.

He jumped out of bed and tried to run out, but he was soon caught and sedated.

’I’m so dead...’ was the last thought he had before he succumbed to a dreamless sleep.

The next morning, he woke up refreshed and completely energetic. He hurriedly glanced around in panic. ’Did they shut me in a prison-like room and take out my organs!’ He looked around but he was still in that private room.

’Hmm...’ he relaxed subtly.

”Yunfeng ah,” his mother, who was sleeping on the guest bed beside him, woke up rubbing her eyes. ”Are you okay?” She walked up to him and gently touched his cheeks. ”Mum was so scared...”

She started to sob softly.

”Mum!” He hugged her tightly. ”I’m completely fine. Why are you crying, ah... It’s nothing at all. I’m really healthy.”

Her small shoulders trembled as she sobbed loudly. ”I thought you had gone crazy... ahhh, my poor son. They strapped you in. I couldn’t even do anything to help,” she gently kissed his forehead.

’Oh, she is talking about my panic attack yesterday.’

He slightly regretted acting like that. Given his brain was already fogged up by his heat, he acted quite crazy. ’I didn’t know heat could make me act like that... plus... I don’t seem to remember many things.’

The three days he spent in his room were a complete haze. He could only remember the things that happened after he came to the hospital...

’Wait, did Muchen see me act like that yesterday... shit, he’s going to think I’m crazy!’ Groaning, he hugged his mom tighter.

”What is it? Is it your head? Is it hurting? Tell me, ah,” she cautiously touched his face.

”I’m fine... just hella embarrassed.” He groaned loudly again. ”Did... did he see that? My friend.”

”Him? He left a few minutes before that. It’s okay, he didn’t see,” she smiled softly and kissed his forehead again. ”You seem to adore that friend of yours.”

”He is such a good person, mum,” Yunfeng lowered his head to hide his blushing face.

”He actually paid off your hospital fees even though I objected. But it was weird... he looked down.”

Yunfeng glanced up at her instantly. ”He looked down?”

”Hmm... I wanted to ask, but I didn’t want to intrude. He seems like a shy person,” she mumbled, shrugging.

Yunfeng glanced at the door with a frown. ’Was he worried about me? Most likely...’

Early in the morning, a bunch of nurses came in again.

Once again, Yunfeng froze up. ’Why are there so many of them? Are they going to sedate me again!’ He was ready to fight them off.

The head doctor seemed to notice this reaction. Clearing his throat, the man awkwardly glanced at him. ”Mister Yunfeng, actually, this is a teaching hospital. Is it okay if a few of my students came in and observed your symptoms?”

”Oh... ohhh...” that explained the number of doctors and nurses crowding his room. ’Thank God, I thought they discovered something in my body...’

The doctor did a routine check-up. The testosterone amount was still not going down, so they suggested increasing the dosage of meds and left.

Sighing, Yunfeng leaned against the pillow. There was a subtle scent of roses lingering in the room. Even after so many people had walked in and out, it was still lingering around his body. ’I want to see him... will he come to visit me today as well?’

He had no clue how Muchen found out he was sick. ’It felt so good to hold his hand... why is his hand slightly smaller than mine... It’s softer too,’ he raised his hand and sniffed it slightly.

’As I suspected. The rose scent is most concentrated here...’ He sighed loudly.

His mom gazed at him weirdly. ”You... stop acting like a pervert and have your breakfast,” she pulled out a heated box and handed a spoon to him.

”You cooked?”

”Your sister did.”

”Ewww, she makes the worst porridge.” He grimaced looking at the grey-colored soupy thing. ”I think she’s trying to kill me.”

”Shut up,” Momma Lia slapped his back. ”Eat. She took the time out of her day to make it for you. You better not waste it.”

”If I eat this thing, I’m pretty sure I will be completely admitted into the hospital for food poisoning.”

”Don’t say stupid things. Here,” she fed him a spoonful. ”It’s not bad, right?”

Yunfeng frowned and smacked his lips. ”It’s not good either.”

She let out a chuckle. ”It’s good for your health.” She continued to feed him.

Fully fed, Yunfeng gazed at the door. ’When will Muchen come to visit me...?’
