Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

After decisively killing Han Lin, Lin Langtian felt no trace of pity. He understood that only the dead would never cause future trouble.

As for whether this would incur the wrath of the Earth Desolation Hall, he did not care much. The storms he had weathered on the Tianxuan Continent had already forged an unshakable will within him.

He flashed forward and swiftly finished off the two black‑robed elders, making sure they were truly dead. Then his gaze shifted toward the surrounding darkness.

He could sense many hidden eyes on him. Among them were several auras so powerful that even he had to take them seriously.

He shook his head lightly, then turned and left without hesitation.

He had never intended to hide the fact that he killed Han Lin.

If it was discovered, then so be it.

When trouble came, he would simply face it head‑on.

…

”This youth… will likely become a troublesome figure in the future,” the plain‑faced middle‑aged man remarked from far off as he watched Lin Langtian’s departing back.

”I don’t know what background he has, but it’s obvious that to reach this level at his age—and to kill Han Lin so cleanly—he must have lived through countless trials.

”You don’t forge that kind of killing intent and decisive courage with clan resources alone.”

The Heavenly Demon Fairy bit her red lip gently, her beautiful eyes fixed on the receding green figure. ”His methods and courage are indeed impressive,” she said softly. ”But the Glacier King only has one son. This man’s future will be anything but peaceful.”

”That will be his tempering,” the middle‑aged man replied slowly. ”I have a feeling that if he survives the Glacier King’s hand, his achievements on the Qiankun Continent will be extraordinary.”

”Oh? You rate him that highly…” she murmured, surprise flashing in her eyes.

…

Elsewhere, Lin Langtian was already racing away from the battlefield.

Though he had slain two Second Rank Supremes, Han Lin’s father was still the Glacier King. If that man personally appeared, Lin Langtian knew he might not have the chance to flee.

Only after several hours of all‑out flight, when he was sure he had reached a safe distance, did he finally slow and exhale.

He lifted his hand, and the bracelet he had taken from Han Lin appeared in his palm.

Spiritual power flowed inside it, and two clusters of light shimmered into his hand.

Suspended within the light were the Great Heavenly Demon Spirit Fruit and the Five Elements Divine Crystal, each radiating an extraordinary aura.

Lin Langtian’s eyes burned as he stared at them, a rare smile tugging at his lips. His heart stirred with a trace of excitement.

Of the three key materials he needed to complete the Supreme Demonic Body, he now held two.

The last—Supreme Holy Water—still eluded him, but the path would appear in time. He felt certain he would find it before long.

”Where to next?” Aunt Ling’s voice sounded in his mind.

”Next, I’ll go to the Qiankun Sect,” he replied after a moment’s thought. ”If I can join one of this continent’s top powers, it won’t be a bad starting point.”

He still carried the Qiankun Gold Token Song Yanfei had given him. He didn’t know yet how valid its authority remained, but he didn’t believe she would have deceived him.

”Mm. Joining a major force is a wise choice for now,” Aunt Ling agreed.

In both the Tianxuan Continent and the Great Thousand World, few could carve a path entirely alone. Even prodigies often needed a platform large enough to support their rise.

Lin Langtian, too, looked forward to what he would find in the Qiankun Sect.

Spiritual power surged once more around him as he burst into the sky like a streak of light, disappearing beyond the horizon.

…

Qiankun Continent, Earth Desolation Hall.

The Hall stood in the very heart of the continent, its sprawling territory vast enough to shame the entire Tianxuan Continent.

Within that domain, the Earth Desolation Hall reigned supreme. Other forces under its shadow survived only by paying heavy tithes of Sovereign Spiritual Liquid each year.

In a frozen region of the Hall lay a colossal ice palace, towering like a coiled dragon wrought of frost.

Deep within its core, among a storm of cold radiance, an ice lotus floated in midair. At its center sat a lone figure cross‑legged in silence.

His breathing was steady and deep, but the aura surrounding him dwarfed that of the two fallen elders by many orders of magnitude.

Then, suddenly, his eyes snapped open.

A glacial radiance flashed from them, freezing the very air. Rage surged across his face.

He raised a hand. Resting upon his palm was an ancient jade pendant.

Spider‑web cracks spread across its glow before it shattered.

”Lin’er’s soul imprint… has collapsed,” the man growled, his voice deep as distant thunder. ”How dare someone kill my son?”

The Glacier King surged to his feet, murderous fury erupting like a blizzard. The winds howled through the palace.

”Damn them,” he hissed. ”Whoever it is—whoever—they will pay in blood.”

…

Qiankun Continent, Northern Region.

Even diminished, the Qiankun Sect still commanded a vast swathe of land across the north.

Compared to the Tianxuan Continent, its territory felt endless—though on the scale of the entire Qiankun Continent, it was only a corner.

After a full day of relentless travel and several teleportation array jumps, Lin Langtian finally neared its borders.

One more day’s journey, and he stood at the very edge of the Qiankun Sect’s domain.

Qiankun Heaven.

Lin Langtian stood atop a ten‑thousand‑zhang peak, gazing into the distance. Awe flickered across his handsome features.

Before him floated a continent in the sky.

To call it an island would have been an insult—it was a world unto itself, hanging in the firmament.

A shimmering barrier encased the floating land, within which countless palaces rose and fell like waves.

Streaks of light crossed the skies in endless flows, an unceasing river of cultivators and power.

Even from far away, Lin Langtian could feel layer upon layer of powerful auras roiling across Qiankun Heaven.

”So this is Qiankun Heaven—the headquarters of the Qiankun Sect,” he murmured.

Compared to this, the Tianxuan Continent seemed small and dim indeed.

The sect’s reputation was clearly no empty boast.

”Not bad,” Aunt Ling said within his mind. ”Looks like you’ll be spending some time here.”

Lin Langtian’s fingers curled loosely as he looked upon the suspended land, flames of resolve lighting within his eyes.

His journey across the Great Thousand World would truly begin here.

Decision made, he shot forward.

As he drew closer, the scale of Qiankun Heaven revealed itself fully—its boundaries stretching so far that he could not see the edge.

Above it hung a titanic spirit array, forming a luminous dome that sealed the entire continent‑in‑the‑sky.

Power pulsed constantly from the barrier, warping the space around it.

”The protective array is strong,” Aunt Ling observed. ”Even an Earth Supreme would struggle to break through.”

Lin Langtian narrowed his eyes. On the Tianxuan Continent, arrays of such power had been nearly unheard of.

Here, they were weapons as mighty as any cultivator.

The Great Thousand World’s array masters were clearly a force to be reckoned with.

As he watched, he drifted closer still.

Outside the barrier, a colossal gate of light hung in the sky.

Beyond it stretched a gleaming pathway leading straight into Qiankun Heaven.

It was, by the look of it, the only way in.

Lin Langtian descended before the gate.

”Halt! Qiankun Heaven does not permit outsiders to trespass. Any who attempt to force their way in will be killed without mercy!”

The shout cracked like thunder across the sky.

Hundreds of armored figures surged into view, clad in black mail and gripping long spears that all pointed directly at him.

Their formation was razor‑sharp. A heavy killing aura radiated from them like winter steel.

Lin Langtian noted it with a flicker of appreciation, though his face remained composed.

He lifted his hand and sent a ray of golden light drifting toward the captain.

The man caught it, and the glow faded—revealing a golden token stamped with the two ancient characters for ”Qiankun.”

”This is… a Qiankun Gold Token?” he said, surprise flashing across his face.

He passed the token back to Lin Langtian, looking him up and down with renewed scrutiny.

”Who are you?” he asked, his tone no longer cold, but guarded. ”And how did you come by that token?”
