Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

An earth‑shattering war had ended, but it left behind a mighty legend.

No one could forget that moment when the fissure between planes finally shattered, and the sky above the Chaotic Demon Sea became the stage for that heaven‑shaking battle…

At the instant when the people of the world fell into utter despair and their hearts turned to ash, a tall figure in green robes stepped forward, slew the Demonic Emperor, and saved all life on the continent.

The second great war between heaven and earth finally drew its curtain with the fall of the Demonic Emperor.

This outcome threw the Four Xuan Regions of the Tianxuan Continent, the Chaotic Demon Sea, the Demon Region, and every corner of the land into unrestrained jubilation.

The hope that arrived after such despair was like a sudden reversal from crushing suppression to soaring exultation, stirring an uncontrollable excitement and ecstasy in every heart.

All had believed that this land would fall into the hands of the demons, that they would be doomed to a life worse than death, living in constant fear from one moment to the next.

Yet, who could have foreseen that, in that final moment when all seemed lost, the situation would be completely reversed, not only turning the tide but utterly uprooting the crisis posed by the demons.

The continent that had suffered demonic rampage for thousands of years would, from then on, finally enjoy long‑lasting peace.

In the month that followed the end of the second great war, the allied armies of the continent gradually disbanded, and everything began to return to its proper path.

Perhaps the world would still be full of fierce competition, but in that struggle, more and more experts would surely be forged.

And perhaps, in some distant future, monstrous geniuses would once again appear out of nowhere, stepping into that legendary Ancestor Realm.

The world, in the end, would never cease to advance.

Even so, everyone knew that even if this continent produced more Ancestors in the future, it would be hard for anyone to surpass that towering figure who had saved all life in their darkest hour.

The Heavenly Ancestor, Lin Langtian.

More Ancestor Realm experts might appear in the years ahead, but there was one identity belonging to the Heavenly Ancestor that would forever remain unique and beyond reach.

That was the identity of Plane Master.

The true ruler of this plane.

Back then, Fu Zu and the Demonic Emperor had both come to this land seeking to seize control of the Plane Seed, become Plane Master, and thereby gain an even greater power.

Yet both had failed—whereas Lin Langtian had succeeded.

…

A year had passed since that titanic battle. The Tianxuan Continent was once again flourishing; countless sects and factions sprang up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, and the land returned to a blazing age of contention.

Of course, the Heavenly Pavilion, now the number one force on the continent, did not directly intervene in such matters.

Nor did any old or rising power dare to show the slightest disrespect toward the Heavenly Pavilion. Every year, the factions of the Tianxuan Continent would, like ministers, journey to the Heavenly Pavilion to pay homage.

The reason was none other than the master of the Heavenly Pavilion.

The Heavenly Ancestor, Lin Langtian.

His name resounded through every corner of the Tianxuan Continent. As the savior of the world, his every move attracted endless attention—let alone a grand life event such as marriage.

In many hearts, he was like a divine being watching over the continent.

The Heavenly Pavilion maintained a transcendent status, quietly observing the development and evolution of the Tianxuan Continent. Naturally, no faction on the continent dared to provoke such an unquestioned overlord.

…

Spring passed and autumn came; time flowed on, and another year slipped by unnoticed.

Then one day, the continent, which had gradually returned to calm after the Demonic Emperor’s fall, suddenly boiled over again due to a single piece of news.

Rumor had it that three days hence, the Heavenly Ancestor would be holding a grand wedding ceremony at the Lin Clan of the Great Yan Dynasty.

Once this news spread, it swept across every corner of the continent in just a few days, becoming known even among women and children.

After all, the Heavenly Ancestor’s name was like thunder to all. As the continent’s savior, his every action was enough to shake the world, and a wedding was naturally a matter of utmost importance.

Moreover, word had it that, at this wedding ceremony, the Heavenly Ancestor would be marrying three peerless brides at once.

Each of the three was a renowned goddess of the continent, once wildly pursued by countless men.

The first was Ling Qingzhu, Palace Master of the Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace. Not only did she possess a beauty that made heaven and earth pale, but her strength was indescribably terrifying as well. Back in the second great war, she had even crossed hands with the Demonic Emperor for a time. On that point alone, few on the continent could compare.

The second was Tang Xinlian, the Flame Fairy and former commander‑in‑chief of the allied armies. Her cultivation talent could not quite match Ling Qingzhu’s, but the second great war had fully proven her ability to command. Even many veteran powerhouses admitted inferiority before her. In terms of leadership, she was widely acknowledged as number one on the continent.

The third was Ying Xiaoxiao, eldest daughter of the Dao Sect’s Sect Master and elder sister of the Ice Master, Ying Huanhuan.

In fame, Ying Xiaoxiao could not compare with Ling Qingzhu or Tang Xinlian, but rumor had it that she was also breathtakingly beautiful, with a gentle and refined temperament that did not lose out to the other two in the slightest.

These three women were all top‑tier beauties of the Tianxuan Continent. Any man who could marry just one of them would be considered to have received heaven’s own favor. Yet now all three were marrying the same man, causing countless young men to wail in anguish and burn with envy.

Still, although they envied him to the bone, not one person felt that it was a pity or injustice for the three goddesses to share a single husband.

Because that groom was the Plane Master of the Tianxuan Continent.

The Heavenly Ancestor, Lin Langtian.

With his strength and status, even a harem of three thousand would be considered only natural. To take only three wives was already seen as a show of respect and devotion.

…

Eastern Xuan Region, Great Yan Dynasty.

The Lin Clan was a sea of festive joy today, the entire Lin City dressed in a dazzling shade of red like a lantern afire.

The wedding of the Lin Clan’s patriarch, who was also the master of the Heavenly Pavilion and Plane Master of the Tianxuan Continent, the Heavenly Ancestor Lin Langtian, was an extraordinary event not only for the Lin Clan but for the entire continent.

Within this atmosphere of celebration, experts flocked here not only from the Great Yan Dynasty and the Eastern Xuan Region, but from all across the continent.

As the Heavenly Ancestor’s wedding, this ceremony was undoubtedly the most sensational event on the continent. Even the Ancient Masters and the leaders of the various top forces arrived one after another to show their support.

Rumor had it that invitations to the Heavenly Ancestor’s wedding had become priceless on the black markets of the continent. Even some Samsara‑stage experts sighed with regret for not having received one, unable to attend the grand ceremony.

For the true major powers of the continent, receiving an invitation to the Heavenly Ancestor’s wedding was a matter of immense pride. Anyone who was not qualified to attend would likely be mocked as a country bumpkin who had never seen the world.

For a time, rainbows of light flashed continuously above the Great Yan Dynasty as experts from all corners of the land rushed to the Heavenly Ancestor’s wedding.

…

From early morning, joyous music and laughter echoed through the entire Lin Clan. As the sun slowly climbed higher into the sky, the happy atmosphere grew ever more intense.

Inside a grand hall of the Lin Clan.

At the head of the hall, Lin Langtian stood with hands clasped behind his back in a festive red robe, his gaze sweeping across the now expanded Lin City, now worthy of being called the greatest city on the continent. A faint smile slowly formed at the corner of his lips.

Lin Dong, Ying Huanhuan, Qingtan, Jin Wu, Little Marten, the Flame Master, the Life and Death Master, Qing Zhi, and many others watched his back. Though that figure was tall and slender, it emanated an indescribable majesty.

That was the majesty of a Plane Master.

”Hehe, thank you all for coming to my wedding ceremony. I’m sorry to have troubled you to make the trip,” Lin Langtian said with a smile as he turned to face the crowd.

Two years had passed since the battle against the Demonic Emperor. In that time, he had not only completely erased the Demonic Emperor, but had also used the power of the plane to help Lin Dong, who had been only one step away, to break through to the Ancestor Realm.

The world was vast, and Lin Langtian’s journey was far from over. As the patriarch of the Lin Clan, he had also elevated Lin Dong to the position of vice‑patriarch. Strengthening Lin Dong did not only win his loyalty; it also raised the power of the Lin Clan and Lin Langtian’s own influence. There was no reason not to do it.

Hearing Lin Langtian’s courteous words, the many powerful experts in the hall all waved their hands in modesty. They were figures of supreme authority within their own factions, but none dared act with the slightest disrespect before this young man.

Nearby, Lin Dong stood beside Ying Huanhuan. He looked at Lin Langtian and smiled. ”How could Huanhuan and I miss Brother Langtian’s wedding? And I haven’t even properly thanked Brother Langtian yet for helping me advance to the Ancestor Realm.”

To Lin Dong, Lin Langtian was not only the great hero who had saved the continent, but also the one who had indirectly saved Huanhuan’s life. Both publicly and privately, he was deeply grateful to Lin Langtian.

Even if Lin Langtian asked him to lay down his life on the spot, Lin Dong would likely struggle to refuse.

As soon as Lin Dong spoke, the leaders of the various factions could not help but look at him with envy. They clearly already knew that Lin Dong had been helped by Lin Langtian to reach the Ancestor Realm and was now known as the Martial Ancestor.

With two Ancestors now seated in the Lin Clan, their prestige was simply unparalleled.

Still, jealous as they were, none dared voice any complaint. Given Lin Dong’s lineage in the Lin Clan and his passing of the Threefold Samsara Tribulation, his ascension to the Ancestor Realm was more than justified.

Many also took the chance to demonstrate themselves in front of Lin Langtian, hoping to receive a share of the plane’s power and a glimpse at the mysteries of the Ancestor Realm.

Yet Lin Langtian’s expression remained as calm as still water, revealing nothing of his thoughts.

As Plane Master, he had gained a far deeper understanding of the Plane Seed.

Whether because the Tianxuan Continent’s plane was too low‑ranked or because the Plane Seed had only recently formed, under his senses its strength was inferior even to the lower plane mastered by Mu Chen in the original timeline. It could not help him advance to Heavenly Sovereign, and even Earth Sovereign would prove difficult.

Therefore, aside from helping someone as close as Lin Dong to reach the Ancestor Realm, Lin Langtian had no intention of using the plane’s power lightly.

As he pondered all this, the sun climbed higher still, and the festive atmosphere of the Lin Clan finally reached its peak. Countless joyful cries rose together and rushed into the clouds.

The vast square had been transformed into a sea of red. Lin clansmen and Heavenly Pavilion disciples in red robes formed a crimson tide that filled the eyes.

”Brother Langtian, the three sister‑in‑law brides are here!” At that moment, Qingtan suddenly pointed forward with her slender jade finger, delight written across her face.

At once, the previously noisy square seemed to quiet down. Countless gazes turned to follow her gesture.

They then saw three women in red bridal gowns, surrounded by dozens of beautiful maidservants, walking slowly toward the grand hall in the center of the square like stars escorting the moon.

The three women wore brilliant red wedding robes. Their figures were graceful and slender, their faces of peerless beauty, each with a distinct temperament—one cold, one fiery, one gentle and demure—but every gaze they turned toward Lin Langtian was filled with deep love.

Seeing this, Lin Langtian smiled slightly. After struggling so many years, was this not the moment he had earned?

He leaped lightly forward to the three women’s side, accepted the red wedding cords from the waiting maidservants, and then turned to look at Ling Qingzhu and the other two.

Under that gentle yet burning gaze, Ling Qingzhu and Ying Xiaoxiao lowered their heads slightly, their cheeks flushed with shy redness. Tang Xinlian’s face also turned red, but she bit lightly down on her lip and met Lin Langtian’s eyes with watery, bright pupils, giving him a bewitching smile.

Taking in the three very different but equally captivating women, a wave of heat welled up in Lin Langtian’s chest. He stepped forward and slowly took each of their slender, jade‑white hands.

”The auspicious hour has arrived. Let the wedding ceremony begin!”

At that instant, the festive mood throughout the Lin Clan reached a fever pitch.

Hiss!

But just as the waves of joy rolled to the heavens, a sound like the cracking of the sky rang out.

Everyone in Lin City started in alarm and slowly raised their heads. There in the sky, space itself was being torn open, forming a rift identical to the colossal fissure between planes that had once appeared beyond the void.

At the same time, an eerie, chilling fluctuation suddenly spread out from Qingtan’s delicate body. This strange cold energy was unlike any power belonging to this world.

That frosty aura streamed upward like a guiding beam and shot straight into the rift, as if pointing the way.

The sudden change drew countless astonished gazes. As people stared in confusion, Lin Langtian seemed to realize something. His brows knitted, and with a wave of his sleeve, a terrifying surge of plane power erupted forth, crashing heavily into the rift.

Clang!

But just as that terrifying plane power surged forward, three terrifying, icy silhouettes stepped out of the rift.

They looked like black‑armored warriors forged from ten‑thousand‑year cold iron.

The middle‑aged man leading them wore cold iron armor, his face expressionless. Noticing the surging power tearing toward them, he clenched his right fist and punched out.

In an instant, an incomparably chilling spiritual power swept forward and collided with the plane’s power. The terrifying energy of the plane instantly scattered, but the middle‑aged man’s figure was also forced back two steps.

His expression shifted slightly, and his cold voice, as frigid as ice, echoed down over the Lin Clan.

”Oh? Plane power? So this lower plane where the Third Young Lady resides has actually birthed a Plane Master?”
