Chapter 942: Chapter 336: Air Battle (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

Inside the captain’s cabin of the Federation Lancelot-class giant gunboat.

”Admiral Raz, an outstanding command. Next, I believe we hold a significant advantage in negotiations with the Empire.”

”Clap clap clap!”

Trena, a mature lady, smiled and led the applause for Admiral Raz. Immediately, the others reacted and thunderous applause followed.

Meanwhile, Duke Victor and others on the small airship watched the scene. Their expressions relaxed but they remained silent, not particularly happy.

Because the power of that shot from the Federation gunboat was comparable to Second Level Witchcraft, or even surpassed it.

”Something seems off, gentlemen, look.” Rein spoke up to remind everyone.

Immediately, all eyes focused again on the falling Corrosive Dragon.

The Corrupt Giant Dragon wobbled as it fell to the southwest corner of Bright County, stirring up a dust storm.

”Aaaang!!!” But with a resounding Dragon Roar.

Centered on the fallen Corrupt Giant Dragon, thousands of mushroom people from all over Bright County rushed towards its location like moths to a flame.

Amid the swirling dust, they couldn’t see what was happening, but they knew some change was occurring.

Seconds later, the intact Corrupt Giant Dragon flapped its wings and soared skyward!

”Not good!”

”It can recover from injuries by devouring these monster followers!” Admiral Edward, with extensive combat experience, exclaimed.

The Corrupt Giant Dragon quickly charged toward the Federation’s giant gunboat.

”(Ancient Dragon Language) Follow the great Agnes into corruption!”

”(Ancient Dragon Language) Ancient Corruption!”

This time, the breath’s power was astounding. A waterfall-like yellow-green Breath sprayed onto the side of the giant gunboat’s deck, fiercely clashing with the milky-white Witchcraft Protection Shield activated by the gunboat.

This scene caused Duke Victor’s expression to change drastically, saying, ”We can’t let the Federation Mission die here. It will cause a direct deterioration in relations between the Federation and the Empire.”

”Send flag signals to the Griffin Knights, telling them to intercept Agnes regardless of the cost, and have the Exxon prepare to ignite high explosives and ram into it.” Duke Victor showed a ruthless expression.

”Such an action would cost the Empire dearly.” Duke of Minter frowned deeply.

Admiral Edward’s face was equally grave. The Sword Bearers Branch only had four Griffins, all of which had already joined the battle.

At this moment, seeming to think of something, Admiral Edward turned to Rein and said:

”Rein, you’re not a Flying Knight, so you will lead the team to fight those infected humans and monsters on the ground, ensuring they cannot restore Corruption Dragon Agnes’s injuries and physical strength.”

”Exactly! We can’t let this Corrosive Dragon recover again.” Duke Victor nodded in agreement.

However, Rein appeared thoughtful and didn’t immediately agree. He pointed to the Corrupt Giant Dragon Agnes, who had just severely damaged the Federation gunboat, and said:

”Admiral Edward, let me try, perhaps I can handle it.”

It’s not that Rein wanted to show off, but he had several considerations.

Firstly, he was an Imperial, and currently both Admiral Edward and Duke of Minter treated him well. If the Corrosive Dragon continued its rampage, not only would the residents of Bright County suffer, but these two would certainly be reproached by the Empire.

Secondly, he didn’t want to see the Griffin Knights, including Felk and Fishe, fall before his eyes, especially when there was something he could do.

Lastly, Rein wanted to verify some ideas he had in mind.

”Hmm?”

The group, including Admiral Edward and Duke of Minter, looked at Rein, unsure of his intentions.

Duke Victor frowned as well. He already had a poor impression of the late-arriving Rein.

This time, hearing the young man questioning Edward’s command displeased him further.

But seeing that Edward had nothing to say, he mumbled a couple of times but didn’t reprimand him.

As Rein’s mind stirred, the lookout suddenly cried out: ”There’s a Fierce Species bird coming up from behind us!”

”Don’t worry, that’s my mount.” Rein said calmly.

”Oh? Rein, you have a flying mount?” Admiral Edward’s face showed delight, but it darkened again when he thought of Agnes’s might.

Because even if Rein became a Flying Knight, it would only be equivalent to an additional top-tier Griffin Knight, having minimal impact on the battle.

But Duke Victor misunderstood, his gaze towards Rein growing more unfriendly.

You’re a Flying Knight?

Then why didn’t you join the Griffin Knights in attacking the Corrosive Dragon earlier? Were you afraid of dying?

Just as he couldn’t help but prepare to scold,

”Bang! Bang! Bang!”

The sound of three heavy objects landing echoed.

The newly landed Blood Feathered Horned Eagle placed three Battle Puppets on the deck of the airship.

And Rein was already walking over, his distant voice heard: ”Prepare three sets of high explosives for me.”
