Chapter 927: Chapter 333: 2 New Witchcrafts (2-in-1 Chapter)

At this moment, everyone began to frantically search themselves with fear on their faces.

Soon, the members of the ‘Black Sword’ team discovered that, except for the vice-captain Wizard Angte, who seemed to be protected constantly by his innate witchcraft, no one else was immune to this mysterious spore infection.

Even the strongest member, Captain Greylo of the ‘Black Sword’, a Peak Knight, now had many white, willow-like spores on his body.

The other three members, whose strength was not as high as Greylo’s, had even weaker resistance. At this time, white, matured mushrooms, like oyster mushrooms, were already growing from their bodies.

“Quick! Let’s get out of here first!” Greylo commanded immediately, while the sense of unease in his heart grew even stronger.

Just as the team quickly turned around, planning to leave.

Suddenly, everyone felt the ground of the tunnel shake violently!

Immediately after, a low roar, unlike anything they had heard before and filled with intense intimidation, emanated from the Sealing Gate.

In an instant, everyone felt a sudden chill in their hearts, as if they had fallen into an ice cellar. Even moving their legs felt much clumsier than usual!

Instinctively, the members of the Black Sword team stiffly turned their necks to look at the Sealing Gate behind them.

They saw two brown lights unexpectedly appear within the Sealing Gate.

“Boom~Boom~”

And as the ground trembled rhythmically, the two lights grew closer.

The stench grew more intense.

When the opponent approached the area illuminated by the Light Technique, the members of the Black Sword team finally saw clearly: these were not lamps, but a pair of dragon eyes.

This dragon was extremely hideous, without the sleek scales that a normal dragon should have on its skin.

The body was covered with wrinkled, pitted skin that was even oozing pus, as if some strong, corrosive energy emanated from within its body.

“Run!!!”

Greylo finally understood the source of the strong unease in his heart.

The corrosive dragon before them must be the ancient monster that was originally sealed inside the Sealing Gate.

Even though it was sealed for thousands of years, the residual aura was still incredibly powerful. Greylo immediately felt that this was a monster only the Imperial Guardian could handle, not something the Black Sword team could resist.

Although they heard their captain’s almost desperate shout, at that moment, everyone seemed to be stuck in a swamp, their running speed only a third of normal.

“Ang!!!”

The Corrupted Giant Dragon let out a roar!

Immediately, a pillar-like yellow-green misty breath spewed violently from its mouth.

In the narrow tunnel, this was nearly impossible to avoid!

The last member of the team was the first to be hit by the misty breath, and the mushrooms on his body began to grow wildly. Within just a few seconds, colorful fungi of gray and green covered his entire body and face.

Although he continued running, in others’ eyes, perhaps “staggering” would be more appropriate.

Second…

Third…

Even Wizard Angte’s Protection Innate Witchcraft broke instantly, and mushrooms began rapid growth on his body, ‘Black Sword’ Greylo was naturally no exception.

Seeing the whole team on the brink of annihilation, Greylo suddenly halted his steps and turned back to swing his black greatsword with full force at the breath!

Meanwhile, a low growl transmitted to his companions:

“Angte, try to get the message out!!”

As soon as he spoke, he emanated a glow of Original Force mixed with a trace of Will, raising the black Dual-Handed Greatsword, like an arrow off the string, charging straight at the pursuing Corrupted Giant Dragon.

“Black Radiance!”

A black arc flashed, and the Corrupted Giant Dragon’s forepaw, as thick as a stone pillar, was immediately sliced open by ‘Black Sword’ Greylo with a cut several tens of centimeters long.

Yellow-green pus sprayed out.

Just when ‘Black Sword’ Greylo thought he might hold off for a while longer, or perhaps even had a slim chance of escaping alive.

But the next second!

“Boom!”

A huge and sharp claw came down from above, crushing ‘Black Sword’ Greylo directly into minced meat!

“Captain!!!”

At this moment, Wizard Angte, who had just completed his chanting and casting, found himself cloaked in a pale blue whirlwind propelling him rapidly forward, only to see his captain die a tragic death in front of him.

“Faster, faster! I must survive! I must get the message out!!” For the first time as a wizard, Angte was so lost, his eyes filled with rage!

But it was too late.

It wasn’t the Corrupt Giant Dragon chasing him.

Rather, the spores from the breath had contaminated him, and now various fungi on his body started growing rapidly…

….

Meanwhile.

Near the entrance of Attachi Mine.

A Third Level Wizard Apprentice in a gray robe, along with another Great Knight wielding a sword and shield, were chatting idly with nothing to do.

Both were new members who had just joined the ‘Black Sword’ team, thus were assigned by Greylo at the mine’s entrance for vigilance and communication.

“It’s been two hours and ten minutes. Why hasn’t the captain contacted us yet? Could something have gone wrong?” The Great Knight with the sword and shield opened a pocket watch, checked the time, and frowned.

According to the pre-departure agreement, the team inside the cave should contact them every two hours.

This was also the standard procedure for the Sword Holder Team when conducting exploration missions.
