Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 936: Chapter 335 Approaching (Combined Chapter)_2

”For a Dragon Vein Wizard to meet the transformation conditions in a short period, it’s almost impossible. However, as for the battle puppets, I wonder if they are as I imagine; perhaps there is another way.”

Rein’s eyes glimmered.

The effect of the activation technique in the morning left a deep impression on him.

And the object he activated that morning was merely a casually transformed metal, a dummy if judged by level. But this time it was different; it was a precisely crafted puppet.

Rein was rather looking forward to the battle puppets made of metal components and assembly.

At the same time, he also wanted to verify a few of the ideas in his mind.

Rein spread open a sheepskin scroll, and a complex yet precise blueprint of Iron Plate Battle Puppet parts appeared before his eyes.

The blueprint mainly included the specifications, dimensions, materials of the feet, legs, and torso, and perhaps due to the nature of battle puppets, there were no hands.

Extending from the forearm of the right hand was a blade axe, combining the stabbing ability of a sword with the chopping capability of an axe, whereas the original hand position of the left hand was replaced by a thick tower shield.

Normally, if a master blacksmith were to make this iron puppet, it would take about three months, and problems might arise during assembly, like with substandard precision.

Even for the rare metal series wizard, to complete one, it might take at least three or four days.

However, for Rein, this ’freak’ wizard whose innate wizardry is Metal Morphing Spell, the production difficulty wouldn’t be much harder than making an entire set of knight armor.

With just a glance, Rein began crafting it.

Since it was the first one, Rein casually used the two iron shields hanging on the wall in his study, which were used as decorations, as raw materials to quickly transform them.

....

About half an hour later, all parts of an Iron Plate Battle Puppet were completed.

After spending some time on assembly, Rein looked at the battle puppet that now took on a humanoid form and smiled.

”Activation Technique!”

With a soft chant and a point of his finger, the Iron Plate Battle Puppet quickly scrambled up from the ground. Due to the movable joints, its movements were much more agile and swift.

This made Rein raise an eyebrow and nod with satisfaction.

If the activation of the metal dummy consumed one unit of spiritual power before, then this time, activating the Iron Plate Battle Puppet consumed three units of spiritual power.

”This activation technique is quite peculiar.”

”It’s completely different from general witchcraft that has a fixed spiritual power consumption.”

This deepened Rein’s understanding of the remark beside the activation technique: ’This witchcraft is a guiding type. The casting time and spiritual power consumption depend on the complexity and size of the casting target’s form.’

”Moreover, judging from the speed, the Iron Plate Battle Puppet’s strength seems decent.”

”According to the principle recorded in the Puppetry Technique, applying the activation technique to the Iron Plate Battle Puppet means success.”

At this moment, a system prompt suddenly rang out:

[You have studied the Iron Plate Battle Puppet, and your understanding has improved!]

[You have comprehended a new skill — Iron Plate Battle Puppet]

[Your skill in Iron Plate Battle Puppet has increased, Experience +1]

...

At the same time, at the bottom of the Warhammer Wizard (Legendary) panel, beside the witchcraft ’Activation Technique,’ a brand new icon had appeared.

The pattern on the icon was almost a photograph of the Iron Plate Battle Puppet.

Rein focused his attention on a line of small text below the new icon:

[Iron Plate Battle Puppet lv1]

Iron Plate Battle Puppet lv1 effect: A small battle puppet endowed with basic wisdom and action ability by the Activation Technique.

(Note: The overall combat power of an Iron Plate Puppet is related to its material.)

(Note: The level of the Iron Plate Battle Puppet is synchronized with the Activation Technique level, and cannot be directly increased with skill points.)

”Hmm? Interesting, is the Iron Plate Battle Puppet considered a separate skill?” Rein was slightly stunned by this system prompt but soon smiled.

”No experience bar.”

Rein immediately noticed, after lv1, there was no bracket content, meaning no experience bar.

”That’s a good thing because that means I only need to improve the Activation Technique to save a large number of skill points indirectly.”

After completing one, Rein continued manufacturing according to his earlier plan.

Only this time, he changed the material.

This time he used Hardened Essence Gold for manufacturing.

With the experience from last time, his manufacturing process was even faster this time.

Twenty minutes later, Rein finished manufacturing a battle puppet with a shell made of Hardened Essence Gold.

Thirty-five minutes later, he also created a battle puppet made of enchanted Silver.

After completing three battle puppets of different materials, Rein thought for a moment and then headed to the training room on the first floor with the Iron Plate Battle Puppet.

He wanted to test the battle puppets made of three different materials to verify his conjecture.

When Rein walked into the training room, he didn’t expect to find three people already inside. It was the team members Angus, Neoro, and Viery.

Seeing Rein entering with three clearly puppet-like things, the few of them were all taken aback.

Rein smiled, realizing he wouldn’t need to test them himself.

”Great, you’re all here. Try out my battle puppet’s effectiveness.”

”Captain, is this... a battle puppet? It sure is rare,” Neoro exclaimed in marvel after circling around the Iron Plate Battle Puppet.
