Nightmare World, Silvermoon City.

Eric slowly opened his clouded eyes, looking somewhat confused at the dim ceiling. When he came to his senses, his gaze suddenly turned sharp.

He sat up instantly, the magical swordsman’s perception field emanating from his body, clearly presenting the dim room in his mind.

Clatter~ Crash~

The sound of bowls and chopsticks falling to the ground echoed. In the darkness, someone seemed to be startled, and a timid voice asked, ”Old... old grandpa, are you okay?”

Eric ignored it, his perception field pouring out wildly. The terrifying aura of a Golden Upper Tier wantonly emanated. His eyes showed urgency because he couldn’t sense Baiyi anymore.

That was the future hope of the Federation. It didn’t matter if something happened to him, Baiyi absolutely must not be harmed!

The powerful magic began to make the room tremble. Outside, it seemed to be the Underground City, because of his aura, numerous lights suddenly lit up.

In the distance, the sound of heavy armor clashing was heard. People clad in silver armor, with wearied eyes, quickly gathered like knights.

Waves of more powerful auras began to surge, clashing with Eric’s aura.

Gold! A large amount of Gold, more than three Upper Tiers!

Eric was shocked. He didn’t know what was happening now, but it didn’t prevent him from becoming more agitated. This place was too bizarre; he had to find Baiyi first.

Zing~

The longsword unsheathed, casting a cold gleam in the dim wooden house. The Legendary giant sword filled the surrounding air with a sharp aura.

Thud~

A slight landing sound was heard. Eric looked over, and in the dimness, a small dirty face appeared before him.

The little boy was very thin, his eyes filled with fear. Because the bowl had fallen earlier, his rough hands were already seeping blood.

Eric’s keen gaze fixed on the boy, a force guiding him onto the bed. With a flash of the Space Ring, two bottles of potion appeared beside the boy.

”This is your reward. Drinking it will strengthen your physique.”

After speaking, many auras also arrived nearby. Eric, holding his sword, walked outside, where an overwhelming war intent formed a faintly discernible phantom in the sky. Unlike Mosen’s phantom, this one’s features and outline were very clear.

The old features and the war intent in the clouded eyes clearly showed it was the Old City Lord himself.

In the windless Underground City, the killing intent permeated everywhere. Apart from the different magic powers responding to each other, there was no sound at all.

Thud~

A slight landing sound was heard. A middle-aged man in heavy armor, with a grave expression, stared at Eric. Also a Golden Upper Tier, he felt a sense of being overwhelmed. This elder was very powerful, and that sword was extremely dangerous!

He seemed to think of something and slowly spoke, ”Mighty outsider, do you know someone named Baiyi?”

As the words fell, the killing intent intensified. Eric calmly gazed at the person in front of him. If it was the worst-case scenario, then they would pay an unbearable price here.

But just as a communicator sounded, the killing intent in Eric’s eyes suddenly vanished. It was a message from Baiyi.

Meanwhile, in Fenghuo City.

A layer of black fog shrouded the world. It was clearly a full moon, yet it failed to illuminate the rundown city. Sounds of coughing came from each of the rooms.

They had contracted an incurable disease, where they were abandoned and could only wail as they awaited death, waiting for a cure from a Plague Doctor that perhaps would never appear.

In the black fog, shadowy figures appeared, as if someone was swiftly moving through the terrifying air, unafraid of the Black Death Curse that frightened the world.

”Damn...”

A quiet curse startled rats foraging nearby, causing them to dart into the sewers by the street.

Pat, pat, pat...

Behind this person, individuals in Death God Robes with bird beak masks steadily followed, like reapers coming to claim a life, sending chills down the spine.

Once these people passed, the rats cautiously emerged from the sewer again, secretly watching the group disappear into the black fog.

Tap~

A slight footstep sounded beside the rat, startling it. Before it could react, a large boot had already stomped down.

Squeak~

The sharp and urgent sound abruptly ceased. Charles, with a dark expression, stared at the backs of the Plague Doctors. Were these Plague Doctors insane, why would they relentlessly pursue him?

”How are things on your end?” Charles asked into a walkie-talkie-like device.

”Zzz~ those mutants have gone mad, most of the sacrifices brought have been captured.”

The walkie-talkie crackled with static, suggesting a poor signal.

Charles’s expression grew darker. He said calmly, ”Then sacrifice those fools. As long as it can weaken this world, Ancient Gods... heh...”

”Zzz~ I know, zzz~ the Gods have foreseen it~ zzz~ they need the Origin, zzz~ damn, those bastards are here again...”

The walkie-talkie fell silent, and killing intent wildly flashed in Charles’s eyes. As his foot pressed down, a hint of blood spread, and his figure gradually vanished. When he reappeared, Charles’s figure was gone, replaced by a Plague Doctor in a Death God Robe.

His demeanor was rapidly changing, becoming filled with the same numb and bizarre mix of hope as the surrounding Plague Doctors.

He glanced around and hurried to the left.
