Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 224: 224 They are actually one kind of person

Mu Hanyan found it challenging to explain the matter at hand and fell silent for a moment.

”Brother Han Yan, I’ve thought it over. I’m fond of the trade business; I’ve loved it since I was a child. I used to daydream about establishing the strongest and most capable Chamber of Commerce in the entire Holy Court Continent. But as I grew up, I realized that dream was simply unattainable.

I diverted the family assets to set up the Nanmu Auction with the hope of gaining a foothold in Heishi City, and any recognition I earned in Anyun Country was a matter of luck.

However, during the time I followed you, I found my thoughts have changed, and my old dreams have returned. Heishi City is too small, even Anyun Country is not large enough, and perhaps one day, I’ll find that the Holy Dragon Academy is no big deal either.

I want my Chamber of Commerce to be the most powerful in Anyun Country, even the most powerful in the Holy Court Continent.

Nevertheless, I am aware of my limitations; achieving this is impossible, unless you join forces with me. With your Star Divination Technique and your strength, whether we succeed or fail, I’ll be able to pursue my dream further, and I’ll have no regrets, even if I fail,” Mu Nan said earnestly with a radiant ambition in his eyes, full of bright hopes as he spoke to Mu Hanyan.

Mu Hanyan looked at Mu Nan in astonishment. So this was his true ambition. No wonder he achieved fame and success in his previous life, yet every time Mu Hanyan saw him, there was always a sense of loss in his eyes. He had thought it was the confusion of a successful person who had lost his goals, but now he knew it was not the case.

The higher you stand, the greater the vista and the more you realize your own limitations. That’s the case for Mu Nan, isn’t it?

At that moment, Mu Hanyan truly saw into Mu Nan’s heart and witnessed an ambitious Mu Nan. Such ambition is much like the heart of a cultivator who seeks to be powerful, just in a different domain.

He and Mu Nan were, in essence, the same kind of person.

”Alright, I’ll do my utmost to help you,” Mu Hanyan resolved. To become the most powerful Chamber of Commerce in the whole Holy Court Continent, top-tier power support was needed, which even the Capital City Mu Family might not possess. This too was a kind of pressure for her, a kind of motivation, helping Mu Nan was helping herself.

”Great, great, thank you, Brother Han Yan. From now on, the Nanyan Commerce will belong to both of us. We will make it the strongest Chamber of Commerce in the Holy Court Continent,” Mu Nan said with immense relief, excitedly gripping Mu Hanyan’s hand.

”Hold on, there’s one more thing I need to discuss with you,” Mu Hanyan said, withdrawing her hand.

”If it’s about calling it Yanan Chamber of Commerce, that’s fine, it doesn’t matter to me,” Mu Nan said.

”It’s not that, let’s stick with Nanyan Commerce. I’ll only take a thirty percent share, the rest is yours,” Mu Hanyan reluctantly didn’t want to take advantage of Mu Nan but knew Mu Nan would not be at ease if she didn’t take any, so she asked for thirty percent.

”Make it forty percent. Otherwise, I won’t feel right,” Mu Nan insisted, seeing that Mu Hanyan was adamant.

”Okay, forty percent it is,” Mu Hanyan recognized Mu Nan’s sincerity and decided not to make it difficult for him anymore.

The two laughed and slapped hands, finalizing the matter of the Nanmu Auction.

Behind them, Huayue and Zirong both frowned slightly without a word.

Even though their perception of Mu Hanyan had undergone a drastic transformation and they had seen many wonders in him, turning a small auction house into the strongest Chamber of Commerce on the Holy Court Continent is easier said than done. The noble families and wealthy families that have been established for thousands of years all harbor this aspiration, but who really has the ability to achieve it?
