Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 100: 100 scams are to show respect for you

After hearing Mu Hanyan’s words, the steward’s expression visibly relaxed. He too was worried that today’s events would enrage the Yuan Family. Mu Hanyan’s righteous and outspoken defense had indeed lifted the siege for Nanmu Auction.

Che Xiangwang looked at Mu Hanyan with even more gratitude. Yuan Tianbo had not dealt him a deadly hand in the past simply because he was too proud and wanted to maintain his reputation. But if he truly angered Yuan Tianbo and the Yuan Family behind him, snuffing out his life would be as easy as crushing an ant.

In hindsight, the only person present who could truly intimidate Yuan Tianbo was Mu Hanyan. Hearing her speak, Yuan Tianbo calmed down somewhat. He thought, with Che Xiang’s ”Eye Power,” how could he possibly discern the authenticity of the Fire Orchid? To think of scheming against me is beyond his capacity, and that steward from the start was merely trying to intimidate me into paying for an appraisal, so how could he possibly be scheming with others against me.

Right, others might not be able to tell a genuine Fire Orchid, but Mu Hanyan must have known from the start. Reflecting on the entire auction process, it was clear she had led me into a trap. Even when I was about to give up, she deliberately provoked me with her words, causing me to raise the bid by 1,200 taels. Yet, just at that moment, she herself gave up and revealed the Fire Orchid’s true value to humiliate me.

With this realization, flames of rage ignited once more in Yuan Tianbo’s eyes.

”Mu Hanyan, I understand now, it was you setting the trap for me from the very beginning,” Yuan Tianbo roared furiously.

”Idiot, only now you figure it out,” Mu Hanyan said, with a sneer of contempt and disdain.

”Mu Hanyan, I... I...”

”Stop stammering. Are you saying it’s not over between us? My ears are calloused from hearing your threats. If you want revenge, come at me quickly, and skip the pointless babble. To be honest with you, the fact that I’m scheming against you shows I respect you. Bullying you directly would be much easier, I wouldn’t even need a reason.” As Yuan Tianbo was about to lay out more threats, Mu Hanyan scoffed in contempt. What’s with him constantly saying it’s not over? Just bring whatever you’ve got now, why the pointless chatter?

Blatantly arrogant and domineering—this was the true nature of a playboy. Even the onlookers who despised and greatly loathed the word ’playboy’, after seeing such defiant and unbridled nature, felt their blood boil with excitement, even envying the carefree life of a playboy.

”You... you...” Yuan Tianbo was so verbally beaten by Mu Hanyan that he didn’t even have the chance to retort. He really wanted to rush forward and fight it out, but he knew all too well that fighting would only cost him his own life. With Huayue and Zirong, the Gold Medal Thugs, by Mu Hanyan’s side, he couldn’t lay a finger on her, and could only hold back his anger within.

Stifling his anger, his face turned red and his neck bulged, looking every bit the combination of internal, external and mixed hemorrhoids flaring up in agony.

”Stop your stuttering, pay up and get out of here; don’t embarrass yourself anymore,” Mu Hanyan said, too lazy to give him another glance, waving him off as if shooing away a fly.

”We’re leaving,” Yuan Tianbo said coldly as he slammed down a dozen or so silver notes on the table and stood to leave.

”Wait, take your Shui Jin Jade with you. It may not be worth 5,200 taels of silver, but it’ll do your condition some good,” Mu Hanyan said.

”What condition?” Yuan Tianbo asked reflexively.

”The hemorrhoids, both internal and external, mixed! From the way you look constipated, I’m afraid your anger has caused your ailments to flare up, hasn’t it? Better to treat it early than to require surgery later,” Mu Hanyan said with feigned concern.
