Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

”And as for you lot, stand still and don’t move. Your master is learning something from me right now. It’s rare for him to be so eager to learn, and if you ruin his opportunity, just wait and see how he’ll deal with you when we get back,” Han Yan said to the few lackeys.

The onlookers had already been apprehensive to act, and upon hearing this, they felt even more justified in standing back. It seemed to them that indeed Yuan Tianbo had willingly offered his face for instruction, appearing very keen to learn something.

Although this thought combined with the current scene might be a bit self-deceptive, it did provide them with a self-consoling excuse.

”Uh...” Yuan Tianbo’s words were abruptly kicked back by her. Hearing what she subsequently told her own subordinates made him so furious he almost spat blood, his eyes filled with indescribable sorrow.

Is this how one learns anything? Can’t I just not learn if I don’t want to? If only he could move, Yuan Tianbo really wanted to punch himself hard in the face: You fool, it was clear she just wanted to beat you up, and you, idiot, went and offered your own face.

The crowd twitched at the corners of their mouths as they heard Han Yan’s words.

What do you mean by learning something? What you were doing was clearly a sneaky surprise attack. And yet, you speak as if you had the moral high ground.

Initially, they thought Zirong was shameless enough, but now they realized there were people who were even more unscrupulous.

Seeing that the beating had gone far enough, Hua Yuezi, and even Mu Nan were quite satisfied. Han Yan was the first to pause, and the rest followed suit.

”How about it, Eldest Young Master Yuan, am I not a fantastic teacher? Seeing how diligently you’ve been learning, you must have gained quite a few insights,” Han Yan said, reverting to her harmless smile.

Yuan Tianbo lay on the ground, in so much pain that he could not utter a word, his body still trembling slightly.

”Ah, I have to say, you guys went a little too far. It’s just a friendly exchange, after all, just teaching Young Master Yuan how to bully others. Look what you’ve done to him,” Han Yan chided Hua Yuezi and Zirong with pretentious sincerity.

Finally, Yuan Tianbo spurted out a mouthful of blood. ”You have the nerve to lecture others,” he thought. ”Don’t think I don’t know that your blows weren’t any lighter than theirs.”

The onlookers turned their heads away, no longer able to witness such shamelessness.

Hua Yuezi and Zirong struggled to suppress their laughter and moved to help Yuan Tianbo up, but how could his lackeys allow others to do it for them? As soon as Han Yan gave the signal that the danger had passed, they quickly rushed over to clumsily help Yuan Tianbo to his feet.

”Han Yan, this isn’t over between us,” Yuan Tianbo said, standing up with the support of his subordinates, trembling and grinding his teeth.

To be fair, Yuan Tianbo wasn’t entirely a coward; deep down, he still had some backbone, or else he wouldn’t have dared to set up Big Playboy Mu.

Han Yan simply smiled without a word. She didn’t take such a trifle seriously; those threats meant nothing to her. She was no longer the Han Yan of before; whether she beat up Yuan Tianbo or not, it was now just a matter of how she felt.

”Take him, let’s go,” Yuan Tianbo said fiercely, though he knew the wisdom in not biting off more than he could chew. Glancing at Che Xiang, who had been beaten down by the lackeys to a pitiful state on the ground, he ordered his lackeys.

”Wait,” Han Yan blocked their path.

”Han Yan, what do you want now?” Yuan Tianbo instinctively took a half-step back. Despite his tough talk, fear crept into his heart. He had just been on the receiving end of a severe beating; it was only natural to feel apprehensive.
