Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 446: Chapter 446: Remarried Widow 39

On the day of the Little New Year, Yuan Chun sold a hundred braised chickens alone.

The output from Red Star Village couldn’t meet her demand long ago, so the team leader’s two sons rode bicycles, pulling carts, to purchase chickens, ducks, geese, fish, and eggs from other villages every day.

The more Yuan Chun needed, the more the team leader’s two sons earned. Just from delivering goods to Yuan Chun in a month, they could make one to two hundred yuan.

The team leader’s wife wasn’t distressed by the sudden loss of four laborers at home, with no one earning work points. She happily stayed at home every day, looking after several grandchildren, while only the team leader earned work points.

Luckily, the team leader’s family didn’t rely on those meager work point earnings. His two sons and two daughters-in-law could make two to three hundred yuan a month, which was the highest income in Red Star Village, apart from Yuan Chun’s family.

The day before New Year’s Eve, Yuan Chun closed her fast-food restaurant, giving Sanfeng and Shui Lian a vacation.

Since many people had pre-ordered braised meat for New Year’s Eve, Yuan Chun didn’t take her children back to Red Star Village for the holidays. The mother and her five children spent the New Year in the county town.

On New Year’s Eve, Yuan Chun made all the pre-ordered braised meat early and then began preparing her family’s New Year’s food.

She fried a large pot of small dried fish, a large pot of chicken strips, a large pot of deep-fried mushrooms...

Those who came to pick up the braised meat saw the three large pots of fried goods, and the fragrant smell made their mouths water, insisting on buying some to take home for New Year’s Eve drinking snacks.

Yuan Chun, amused and exasperated, said, ”These are fried for my own kids to eat during the New Year.”

”Just sell me two kilos of each. I’m not asking for it for free. Sister, I’ve been a loyal customer. I crave these so much. Please sell them to me. If you don’t, my wine won’t taste as good tonight.”

What could Yuan Chun say?

Sell, of course.

But after selling to one, the next person wanted to buy too.

In business, you can’t sell to one and not to another.

And so, Yuan Chun sold out all the fragrant, crispy fried goods from the three large pots.

Sanqiang saw this and almost cried sadly, ”Mom, the fried small fish, fried chicken strips, and fried mushrooms are all sold. What are we going to eat for the New Year?”

”Don’t worry, I saved enough meat for you to fill your little belly. Later, I’ll fry some potato chips and flour balls for you to eat.”

Yuan Chun asked Da Qiang to peel some potatoes, while she scooped a basin of flour, crumbled a few pieces of tofu into it, chopped a large bowl of carrots, onions, and minced meat, threw them in, added various seasonings and water, mixing a large basin full of flour.

Yuan Chun then started frying flour balls.

Because she added minced meat, the fried balls were more fragrant than plain ones. This time, Yuan Chun fried several large pots, and in the end, only half a pot was left to sell.

This was what she had reserved in advance.

If not, they’d have all been snapped up by the braised meat purchasers.

Thanks to the earnings, the mother and her five children had a very sumptuous New Year’s Eve dinner, with a braised chicken she had reserved in advance, half a braised duck, a portion of roast goose, as well as braised pork, lion’s head meatballs, steamed fish...

The children sat around the table, looking at the abundant and delicious food. They all felt extremely happy.

Da Qiang said, ”Mom, this is the best meal we’ve ever had at home.”

Ya Ya said, ”Mom, it’s the first time I’ve had so much meat. All this meat was earned by you, Mom, you’re amazing.”

Sanqiang said, ”Mom, I hope we can have this much meat every New Year.”

Yuan Chun patted the little one’s head and promised, ”In the future, our New Year’s Eve dinners will only get more lavish.”
