The Yellow-Haired Villain in Soaring Phoenix's Novels Also Desires Happiness

“......” Muen’s mouth twitched.

What did she mean, he had not won by that much?

And what was with that expression on her face that said she did not count as having lost?

Could it be that after one night’s sleep, she had already forgotten that for nearly two-thirds of last night, she had been begging for mercy?

“Not saying anything? Hmph hmph, looks like I hit the mark.”

Ariel nodded smugly.

That was right. So that really was how it was.

Although last night he had looked all high and mighty, acting as though he had won by an overwhelming margin, the moment morning came, his true state was immediately exposed.

See? She had known there was no way this guy could suddenly become that much stronger, to the point that even her improved techniques had stopped working.

So he had just been forcing himself to act tough back then!

Seriously, he had acted so convincingly that he had almost fooled her.”

In that case, the gap between her and him was already practically nonexistent. As long as she worked just a little harder, she would be able to catch up to him completely.

Next time......she would use her Combat Magic · Improved Version · Third Mode again!^

As long as she used that move, she would definitely......

“Oh my, looks like a certain flat-chested little slut has started fantasizing about impossible things again~”.

The voice that suddenly appeared was gentle and seductive, even more alluring than the morning light, but Ariel immediately bristled like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, her eyes locking tightly onto the space behind Muen.

At this very moment, a graceful figure was leaning against the wall. Her entire body radiated a peculiar combination of temptation and languor, while a pair of smooth, bare legs gleamed beneath the morning sunlight, so beautiful that it was difficult to look away./

“Anna Kaplin, it’s you! Why are you here?”

“Why can’t I be here? Is this your private restricted area or something?”*

Anna gently tucked a strand of long hair behind her ear. The enchanting charm revealed in every smile and movement was almost like some kind of declaration made openly for all to see, immediately making Ariel grind her teeth.

“You’re here, which means last night you actually......”’

Ariel glared viciously at Muen......so this was why he looked so exhausted now!

“Don’t misunderstand. I didn’t do anything last night. I merely suffered an inhumane punishment, just like one of those narcotics investigators who gets captured in stories. Nothing else happened!”,

“Narcotics investigator?”

Ariel’s delicate brows furrowed......she had once moved around the black market herself, so she knew a fair amount about that sort of thing. A captured investigator or something......really would suffer terribly!/

“She tortured you? Pulled out your fingernails or put you on a tiger bench?”

“Cough cough, neither of those, but I’ve already surrendered!

Muen raised both hands, indicating that he would not participate in the fight between the two of them......right now, he was merely a weak, pitiful, helpless little lamb who had suffered torture for an entire night.

“Is that so......don’t worry, I’ll teach this shameless hussy a lesson for you right now and pay back that pain tenfold!”

Ariel’s lips curled crookedly, and without another word, she shot forward......but although her body had recovered, some lingering aftereffects from last night’s battle had not completely faded. Her legs suddenly went weak, and she nearly dropped to her knees. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

“Giggle, just as expected of you. Your combat ability really is pitifully low. Your legs are already going soft, and you still want to teach me a lesson?”

Anna twisted her slender waist and stepped closer as though to mock her, but just as she stretched out one of her smooth, long legs, her ankle buckled, and she also nearly fell.

“You’re not much better yourself.” Ariel sneered. “What happened to your foot? Did a pig chew on it?”

“You’re the one......looks like you got rammed pretty badly between the thighs by a pig......” Anna immediately shot back.

“Hmph.”

“Hehe......”

The two women faced each other tit for tat. Where their gazes met, it was as though lightning flashed and thunder roared.

Off to the side, a certain fellow who had already surrendered trembled in fear as he considered how he should resolve this deadlock.

To tell the truth, just Ariel and Senior appearing this quickly had already completely exceeded his expectations. He had expected even less that the two of them would run into each other so soon.

What to do, what to do? Could it be that he, Muen Campbell, was really going to be defeated by such a tiny little battlefield of jealousy......

“Forget it.”

Anna suddenly broke into a smile:

“Want to talk for a bit?”

“Perfect.”

Ariel replied, “I have something I want to say to you too.”

“Then please.”

“Hmph, I’m warning you, don’t try any little tricks.”

Ariel took a deep breath, suppressing that strange sensation, and slowly walked out of the room. Anna also rubbed her foot before stepping after her.

Only Muen was left behind, staring dumbfounded:

“You two are......not fighting anymore?”

“Fight? Why would we fight?”

Anna smiled brightly as she hooked an arm around Ariel’s shoulder. “We’re good sisters who exchange sincerity for sincerity. Our relationship is wonderful.”

“......”

Muen thought that perhaps he had gone too long without sleep and was already hallucinating.

Wasn’t this change a little too drastic?

“You really won’t secretly start fighting the moment I’m not looking, right?”

“All right, go catch up on your sleep!”

Ariel looked at him with disgust. “Look at how exhausted you are. And think about it carefully—when have we ever actually fought?”

“......”

Come to think of it......they really had not.

Although in his impression, these women had always been on bad terms with one another, scheming and maneuvering against each other, aside from Celicia, none of them had actually attacked one another before.

Although this scene was a little terrifying, no matter what......peace was good, peace was good. Harmony brought prosperity, after all. Otherwise, who knew how long it would take to earn back all those estates his father had lost.

“Then I’m going to sleep. You absolutely have to behave yourselves.”

Muen yawned, and under the weight of extreme exhaustion, dropped down and fell asleep.

The final sight before his consciousness faded was Anna and Ariel linking their little hands together, supporting each other as they walked peacefully outside.

They really did look like a pair of good sisters.

......

“Go on, what do you want to say?”

The same courtyard, the same stone table and stone chairs.

Ariel frowned slightly and sniffed......she kept feeling that the smell here was somewhat strange, but it was too faint. She could not quite tell exactly what it was.

In any case, it definitely was not anything good.

“Don’t tell me you’re planning to poison me.”

“Do I look like someone that bored?” Anna sat on the stone chair and continued rubbing her little foot.

Last night’s punishment had certainly felt quite satisfying, but the side effects really were rather severe as well, because that naughty junior of hers seemed to have grown stronger again in this short span of time, somewhat exceeding her expectations.

She sighed inwardly as well. After this, she was afraid it would already be very difficult for one person to subdue him.

No, would even two or three people not be enough anymore?

“Sit.”

“I don’t know whether you’re bored or not, but you definitely wouldn’t suddenly act like this toward me.”

Ariel sat down and casually reached for the teacup in front of her......she had lost too much water last night and happened to be rather thirsty.

But just as she reached out, Anna grabbed her wrist.

“What do you mean by this?” Ariel raised a brow.

“Nothing.” Anna sighed. “The tea has gone cold. I’ll brew another cup.”

“You really did poison it?”

“I already told you, I’m not that bored.”

Tea leaves, hot water, white porcelain.

Anna’s fingers moved deftly, her tea-brewing motions practiced and graceful.

Before long, a cup of hot tea was placed in front of Ariel. Ariel did not stand on ceremony either and directly tilted her head back, gulping it down.

“I’ll get straight to the point and talk about the serious matter.”

Anna gently swirled her teacup and asked:

“What do you think......that dragon, that calamity dragon we regarded as our greatest opponent, to the point that we were willing to put aside our differences and join forces with each other against her, actually wants?”
