The Yellow-Haired Villain in Soaring Phoenix's Novels Also Desires Happiness

“Muen and Miss Dragon are completely innocent.”

Muen smiled ingratiatingly and moved forward to soothe the beautiful girl carrying that faint resentment, only for Anna to press one finger lightly against his chest and gently force him back.

“Sit.”

“Oh.”

Muen obediently sat down.

“Don’t you feel embarrassed saying the word ‘innocent’ with your own mouth?” Anna rolled her beautiful eyes. Even though Muen had already seen another pair of beautiful eyes roll earlier, he still could not help being drawn to hers.

“I’m only telling the truth. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.”

“Then what were you doing just now?”

Anna sniffed lightly, her delicate nose wrinkling.

“You reek of a vixen.”

“This......”

Muen instinctively sniffed himself as well......what vixen smell? It was obviously nothing but a girl’s most natural fragrance.

“Senior......you weren’t here listening the entire time, were you?””

Miss Dragon had not listened, but this unexpected person......

“Do you really think I’m that bored?”^

Anna rebuked him coquettishly.

“I just happened to arrive at the right time.”

“So that’s how it is......”.

Muen breathed a sigh of relief.

“Then, Senior, how long have you been here?”

“Not very long.”/

Anna gently swirled her teacup. The tea inside had long since gone completely cold.

“About since that little slut begged for mercy the first time.”

“Wasn’t that basically from the very beginning?!”_

Muen’s cheek twitched violently.

He knew it.^

Every single one of them—either peeping or listening through walls. Could they not be a little more open about it? Come straight in while he was at his most excited......

No, that would scare him soft. Listening secretly was better.”

Muen sighed inwardly, but there was at least some good news......Miss Dragon had not been infected by these people yet and would not hide outside listening.

“Then Senior came this time because......”^

“What, I can’t come without a reason?”

“No, no......I just thought......you got here a little too fast.”

Muen carefully examined that breathtakingly beautiful face. Although she was still seductive and alluring as ever, there was nevertheless an unmistakable trace of travel-weariness that could not be concealed.

Normally, she could not possibly have arrived this quickly. After all, only a few hours had passed since his and Miss Dragon’s identities had been exposed.

“It’s nothing. Those evil believers you killed just happened to be targets our Silent Bureau had been tracking. We’d been watching them all along. In fact, some of our people were already hidden nearby this time. If you and that dragon hadn’t acted, our people would have done everything they could to intervene.” Anna rubbed her temples, looking rather exhausted.

Recently, evil believers had been causing trouble with increasing frequency.

And as the Sword Bearer, she was getting more and more headaches because of it.

“So that means we actually stole Senior’s credit?” Muen chuckled.

“Stop putting on an act. Do you really expect me to sincerely thank you? Without the great Lord Muen, even though we had arranged people in advance, this city would still have suffered devastating losses in the end?”

Beneath the stone table, Anna kicked Muen neither lightly nor heavily.

“No, no, I genuinely mean it. After all, with those evil believers making such a huge move, there’s no way they could possibly hide it from my amazing Senior’s eyes.”

Muen blinked, his face perfectly sincere.

“Haven’t seen you for a while, and your skills have improved.”

Anna smiled without quite smiling.

“No wonder even a mighty calamity got sweet-talked into following you around. Isn’t that right......Your Excellency, eternal companion of Calamity Hamreign?”

“I already told you, Miss Dragon and I are one hundred percent innocent. Senior really has to......”

“All right, enough of that.”

Anna waved a hand, stopping Muen’s explanation.

Muen found that rather strange. Given Senior’s personality, he had expected that although she certainly would not really do anything to him, at the very least she would demand an explanation just like Ariel had.

But unexpectedly, she simply let it go.

As though......she had already more or less obtained the answer she wanted.

“What are you planning to do next?”

Anna lightly tapped one slender finger against her teacup and asked seemingly casually.

“Plan? Well......after leaving the city, I was thinking of heading south first, then east until we reach the coast, and finally going to Belrand......”

“That really is one enormous detour.”

“It’s a trip......we might as well walk around and see different places.”

“A trip? Or are you running away?”

“Running? Why would I run?” Muen stiffened his expression. “I haven’t done anything guilty. I already said, Miss Dragon and I are completely inno—”

“Stop hiding. If I can hear the news, do you really think that person wouldn’t? You can’t escape.”

Anna looked somewhat delighted by his misfortune.

Although she truly disliked that arrogant Empress, she had to admit that she was also one of the very few people who would actually give Muen a real punishment.

As for the others, either they were only tough with their mouths, or a few sweet words from him were enough to make them melt completely.

None of them were useful.

Someone really should have punished this womanizer a long time ago.

“That’s true......”

Muen smiled bitterly.

“Then we won’t take the detour. We’ll go straight to Belrand.”

Originally, Muen had chosen that route partly because he wanted to give Miss Dragon more time to adapt to the human world.

But now it seemed Miss Dragon was adapting far better than he had imagined.

There was no need to waste any more time.

Because if their identities had not been exposed, it would have been fine. But now that they had already been exposed, if he still kept wandering around everywhere......that would only increase certain people’s anger.

At a time like this, time was no longer his friend......Muen understood that principle very well.

“But no matter what, I need to come up with a countermeasure.”

Sitting around waiting to die was not his style.

Think.

How should he deal with Celicia......no, how should he deal with all five of them?

Right now, Ariel and Senior both seemed like they were not going to pursue the matter anymore, but once they reached Belrand, there was no telling whether they might settle the delayed account after all.

Therefore......

“Hiss......”

While he was thinking, Muen suddenly sucked in a sharp breath.

Because an oddly smooth sensation suddenly came from between his legs, directly interrupting his thoughts.

He glanced downward from the corner of his eye and discovered that the foot Anna had used to kick him earlier had never fully withdrawn. At this moment, it was slowly moving upward along his calf, little by little.

Her shoe had long since been removed. Her black stocking gleamed smoothly beneath the moonlight, and her small toes shifted playfully, completely unconcerned with what kind of volcano they were teasing awake.

“Mm......”

Muen, who had only just released his pent-up heat earlier, immediately felt another trace of warmth being stirred up, though fortunately he could still remain clear-headed.

“Senior, stop......no, stop your foot.”

“Mm?”

Anna lightly raised a brow.

“Did I do something?”

“You......know perfectly well what you’re doing.”

Muen’s breathing gradually grew heavier.

“What’s wrong? That little cat stealing a taste just sampled your entire body. Here......here......and here, she left traces everywhere, didn’t she? But I’m not allowed?”

“No, I......”

Muen wanted to stop her, but Anna was clearly determined to make things difficult for him. Only then did he realize that the trace of resentment he had sensed earlier had not been his imagination.

That made sense.

Senior was gentle, yes, but she also had the personality of a little devil. How could she possibly let him off so easily?

“Senior, I only just......”

“Just? You look perfectly energetic to me.”

That long black-clad leg finally completed its journey from bottom to top and reached its final destination. Even though she was still wearing stockings, her toes were unbelievably nimble. With one light hook, she immediately removed Muen’s final layer of defense.

With nothing left blocking it, the Tower of Babylon stood beneath the moonlight.

“Keep talking. It’s not like I’m bullying you.”

“I......how am I supposed to talk like this?”

Muen gritted his teeth. He could clearly feel that silky sensation, and he could also feel the flames blazing inside his body. He wanted nothing more than to rush over, grab this little devil, and punish her fiercely in return.

But the small stone table remained between them.

She would not allow him to cross that line.

“Hiss......Senior, gentler.”

As the attack intensified, Muen finally could not hold back a sound.

His voice was not loud, but beneath the quiet night sky it was especially clear.

Seeing this, Anna smiled slyly.

“My dear Junior, I’d advise you to stay a little quieter.”

“Mm?”

Muen froze for a moment. Since his lower body currently had the upper hand, he was temporarily incapable of thinking seriously and failed to understand the deeper meaning behind Anna’s words.

Until he saw her smile become even brighter.

“After all......you wouldn’t want that dragon to hear you making such embarrassing sounds, would you?”

“W-what?”

Muen immediately jolted.

“You mean Miss Dragon......”

“She’s nearby.”

Anna nodded.

“She definitely won’t deliberately come over to listen, but if you make your voice a little louder......”

“Senior, you......”

Muen’s expression immediately became miserable. He glared at her fiercely.

“Despicable!”

“It’s only a tiny punishment game. After all......”

Anna licked her red lips, warm moisture shimmering in her seductive eyes.

After listening for so long, she had gotten a little hot herself.

“Don’t think you’ll get through tonight so easily......the night is still very long......”
