The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

A faint, silvery-white luster coated Wang Ya’s eyes. He unleashed his formidable Spiritual Power, augmented by a hint of Dream Power.

Witchcraft: Exorcism.

His formless, imperceptible Spiritual Power now manifested a tangible change in the physical world.

The mass of coiling vines, as if struck by an invisible force, instantly shattered. Green sap splattered everywhere.

Striding over the shredded remains of the vines, Wang Ya brutally forced his way into the Blood-sucking Vine King’s core.

He pressed his palm against the trembling flower bud, leaving his Spiritual Brand upon it.

Everything went smoothly. Unlike before, when he had been wary and needed to use Energy Flame to destroy this Extraordinary Magical Plant, the current Wang Ya could suppress it completely with his Extraordinary Spiritual Power alone.

His Power was on a completely different level.

Extraordinary Magical Plants were unlike ordinary ones. Their Extraordinary Properties allowed them to develop instincts and basic thoughts, such as determining if something was tasty, edible, or a dangerous enemy.

After receiving a Wizard’s Spiritual Brand, their intelligence could develop even further, allowing them to discern their master’s commands.

Now, like a small puppy, it gently coiled its remaining vines around Wang Ya’s legs, as if showing affection.

Wang Ya looked at the now-docile Blood-sucking King Vine and nodded slightly.

Harak, perched on his shoulder, also watched the Blood-sucking King Vine with curiosity. Just a moment ago, it had felt a strange sensation, as if it had gained a new companion.

A green vine crept up Wang Ya’s body until it reached his shoulder. It tentatively and carefully reached out to touch Harak.

Harak blinked its black eyes, touched the vine with its beak, quickly pulled back, then touched it again.

The green vine relaxed completely and began to wind itself around Harak.

Wang Ya sent a command through the Spiritual Brand, and the surrounding vines slowly retracted.

With the activation of the Witch Array, the Particle Energy cycle in the Magic Plant Cultivation Area began.

The Blood-sucking King Vine would feel the difference by tomorrow. Its many vines stretched out to more places in this rocky area, filling nearly every crevice as they soaked in the nourishing Particle Energy.

Of course, the Magic Plant Cultivation Area wasn’t limited to this one spot. There were other zones suitable for the Cultivation of different Magical Plants.

Much like the Biological Cultivation labs, it was open-air, allowing one to choose different locations for Cultivation based on a given creature’s Traits.

Wang Ya took his record book out from his sleeve.

With a feather pen, he wrote down the relevant Wizard Experiment plan.

[Magical Plant Gene Cultivation Plan]

[Target: Blood-sucking King Vine]

[Objective: Extract the remaining Extraordinary Properties from Gundas’ Dog and transfer them to the Blood-sucking King Vine to achieve a genetic transformation and complete the species’ evolution.]

[Addendum: This will serve as a secondary choice for a Dream Gap medium.]

One should always have a backup plan. The Magical Plant Gene Cultivation plan was both a way for Wang Ya to verify his Extraordinary Knowledge and a secondary option in case the Dream Infinite Genome project failed.

The Eye of Truth now had an open slot for a new target.

Wang Ya dedicated it to the refinement and development of his Flame Demon Witchcraft Stream.

He would strengthen and perfect the Flame Demon Witchcraft Stream from multiple angles to increase his Power on the Elemental Wizard Path.

Compared to the eerie and mysterious nature his Dream Wizard abilities currently displayed, the powerful attacks of his Elemental Wizard side, particularly the immense burst damage of a Fire Element Wizard, had not been fully realized. In fact, during his battle with Hades, he had been at a complete disadvantage.

He had been beaten so badly he couldn’t even cast Flame Demon Fear Witchcraft, forced to rely on the Flame Demon Domain just to dodge constantly.

’This is unacceptable.’ He had to admit that, in terms of offense, his Flame Demon Fear Burn and Flame Demon Roar Witchcrafts were lacking. Their shortcomings were too obvious.

’I have to develop more offensive methods, to have a variety of attack Witchcrafts to choose from.’

[Target: Flame Demon Witchcraft School]

[Analysis Objective: Supplement and perfect this Witchcraft School to achieve greater combat capability.]

[Estimated Analysis Time: 60 days]

Two months wasn’t a particularly long or short amount of time; it was within his expectations.

This period would also give Wang Ya time to continue refining and improving his Dream Witchcraft System.

「Winter had finally come to the Dark Land.」

The cold wind on the first day of winter was bone-chilling, making one instinctively pull their robes tighter.

The streets of the Business District were not bustling with many Wizards.

Wang Ya was dressed in a black Wizard Robe. The cold wind whipped against his cheeks, his hair slightly tousled. His breath plumed into a white cloud that lingered long before dissipating.

He had come to meet Kaze Antuun and finalize the remaining terms of their Wizard Contract—namely, to collect his winnings from their bet.

This should have been settled several days ago, but Wang Ya had postponed it to first recover his State.

Furthermore, he had spent the last few days contemplating a certain matter and had finally come to a decision.

He had even drafted two new Wizard Contracts before heading out.

Soon, the appointed meeting place, the Ba Mountain Discussion Hall, came into view.

He walked straight inside...
