The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Leaping Biological Charges formed fine, visible currents across the surface of his skin. In the densest areas, there were even hints of plasma. His burly frame contained this terrifying Power.

Dante’s figure came to an abrupt halt at the edge of the sea of fire. The powerful inertia sent a large amount of dirt flying, carving out a huge crater.

HISS! HISS!

The moment the flying dirt touched the sea of fire, it was instantly scorched into fine sand and vanished into the void.

His hair stood on end, and his gaze was grave. It was as if he could see through the boundless sea of fire and meet Wang Ya’s indifferent eyes.

The situation now was that the Wizard Freshman in the sea of fire was still growing in momentum, almost to the point of surpassing the limits of their level.

This was far from normal; it should have been impossible.

Even with the environmental advantage, it shouldn’t be possible... Dante suspected there was some trickery involved, but he had no choice. No one knew what was happening inside the flames. Even if there was a one percent chance it was real, he had to stop him.

If he let the other guy keep powering up, there would be no competition left in this Secret Realm.

CRACKLE!

The Particle Energy in his body circulated according to the Aquis Secret Record, stimulating his muscle cells as his Biological Charge surged to its maximum.

Powerful currents leaped about, forming a shroud of lightning around his body. It affected the physical world in a five-meter radius, creating a state of deactivation.

Dirt, sand, bits of grass, and even the smoke from the sea of fire floated up and swirled around him. The sea of fire wasn’t made of ordinary flames, but of Energy Flames with Extraordinary Properties, yet they were still suppressed by his Biological Force Field.

This was his strongest technique, and the greatest strength of a War Body Wizard.

Their unique Wizard Combat Body.

His was called—the Thunder Emperor!!

It granted him a Physique on par with Extraordinary Creatures, along with unique Extraordinary Special Abilities.

The next moment, he charged into the sea of fire. Empowered by the Thunder Emperor Combat Body, his Biological Force Field strengthened further, holding the surging Energy Flames at bay.

The searing heat still forced Dante to squint. Using his Biological Force Field to sense his target, he locked onto Wang Ya’s position and charged.

From a distance, a bolt of lightning could be seen crashing into the sea of fire. No matter how the flames billowed, they couldn’t halt his advance. He even carved out a safe path for himself.

Meanwhile, the other Wizard Freshmen had also arrived, all of them shocked by the constantly rising momentum within the sea of fire.

Each unleashed their own techniques to suppress the flames as they headed straight for Wang Ya’s location.

Jim Novy activated the physical properties of the soil, forming a flowing Liquid Earth Dragon that carried him across the sea of fire. Behind him, the ground rose and fell like ocean waves, extinguishing the flames wherever he passed and further compressing the fire’s reach.

Considering the strain on his Particle Energy, he only maintained this for a short while before stopping. The consumption was simply too great.

Instead, he focused his Particle Energy into the Liquid Earth Dragon beneath his feet, packing it with large amounts of earthen material. This was to account for the nature of the Energy Flames and the erosion from Particle Energy.

The Liquid Earth Dragon could now act as a medium for his Earth Element Particle Energy Witchcraft, enhancing its power while also serving as an escape route.

After all, he was venturing deep into the home-field advantage his enemy had created.

The Mad brothers did not enter the sea of fire. For Mechanical Wizards, there was no need to personally risk danger to achieve their goals. After assessing the situation in the fire, they temporarily modified the mechanical structure of their Red Floating Assistants, making them more resistant to the high temperatures and Particle Energy erosion.

At the same time, their internal mechanical structures could interlock, assembling into more comprehensive and powerful Floating Assistants.

When they saw through the Gray Floating Assistant’s feed that the Red Floating Assistants had easily entered the sea of fire without being affected, the two inside the combat mechanical platform both breathed a sigh of relief.

”I thought he was so tough, but it turns out he’s just bluffing,” Aitri said mockingly.

Guterres said, ”Don’t underestimate any enemy. For this guy to cause such a huge scene, I don’t think he’s doing it for nothing. He must have another objective.”

”We used up a lot of mechanical materials to reassemble these Red Floating Assistants. They can now go toe-to-toe with a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice. Let’s see what tricks this guy has up his sleeve.”

Even if something did go wrong, they hadn’t risked entering the fire themselves and still had other ways to respond.

The commotion caused by Zack Antuun drew the attention of most of the Wizards watching from the outside.

Hundreds, even thousands of Puppet creatures left no vegetation in their wake. Their presence even stacked with his own Biological Force Field. Before they even arrived, the spread of the sea of fire was suppressed, and the flames began to recede.

”Wang Ya Harak!” Zack stood atop one of the Puppet creatures, his eyes fixed on the center of the fire. It was as if he could see that fair, handsome face and the mockery it displayed.

With a flick of his five fingers, he sent all the Puppet creatures charging into the sea of fire. Their terrifying Biological Force Field extinguished all the Energy Flames in their path.

A thousand tireless, painless Extraordinary Creatures—what did that even mean? Even a thousand ordinary cows or sheep could trample an entire Mortal City.

Now, terrifying Biological Force Fields appeared from four directions. As their auras intertwined, the decline of the sea of fire became obvious. The pressure intensified, creating a delicate Balance as they jointly suppressed Wang Ya.

The sea of fire was like Wang Ya’s own Biological Force Field, constantly weakening... The environmental advantage couldn’t make up for the difference in numbers. None of his opponents were much weaker than him.

Taken individually, even if Wang Ya was stronger, he couldn’t crush any one of them.

With the four of them working together, there was no doubt they could crush Wang Ya.

They might not even lose a fight against a true Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.

Outside, the many Wizards were also shaken by this scene. It was truly unprecedented.

To force the other freshmen to team up against him... even if he failed, it was enough to be recorded in the history of the Dark Land.

It was too stunning!

To think such a scene would occur among the freshmen.

In comparison, the Heaven-Filling Fire next door seemed far too conventional.

But almost no Wizard believed Wang Ya could win. This was a judgment based on reality, not some fantasy novel. No one could fight one against five; one’s Particle Energy simply couldn’t support such an extravagant battle.

His opponents weren’t just some random pushovers; they were all incredibly powerful.

”It’s over. Wang Ya Harak, that surprising Wizard Freshman, is finally going to be stopped here. Still, to create such a shocking scene is a first. Among this batch of freshmen, his Power is definitely at the very top.”

WHOOSH!

In the center of the sea of fire, the mountain was already wreathed in roaring flames. Wang Ya stood at the summit, his expression indifferent as he looked down upon the converging forces.

’It almost feels like a peerless, invincible Great Demon King getting ganged up on by the heroes of justice.’

A smile touched the corner of his mouth. ’The stage has been set, and the climax has arrived.’

’Now, it’s time for the finale.’

BOOM!

A violent explosion rang out. The first to arrive was Dante Qiuji. Lightning already enveloped his entire body, reacting with the surrounding Energy Flames and Active Particle Energy to create a continuous series of thunder-fire blasts.

Without hesitation, he charged directly up the small mountain. The figure bathed in Energy Flames stood at the summit, watching them with an indifferent gaze.

Dante closed in, gathering Biological Charge in his right hand. He formed a five-meter-long bolt of lightning and whipped it forward, creating a condensed ball of thunder.

The terrain also aided him. The Energy Flames exploded, and the Active Particle Energy in the air caused thunder and fire to erupt on the surface of the thunder ball.

Around two hundred mechanical creations—the Red Floating Assistants—arrived at roughly the same time. From the other side of the mountain, they unleashed concentrated high-heat rays from a distance.

”Sorry about this, but I have to eliminate you first.” Jim Novy, standing on his Liquid Earth Dragon, had also arrived, an apologetic look on his face.

But his hands moved swiftly. He consumed nearly a third of his Particle Energy, and in exchange, the mountain Wang Ya stood on underwent a startling Transformation.

Wang Ya looked down. A large amount of liquid soil was binding his feet, trying to drag him into the mountain itself.

The liquid soil crept up his legs, and a foreign Particle Energy began to invade his body, further preventing him from casting any Witchcraft.

As a fellow Elemental Wizard, Jim Novy clearly knew how to deal with an Elemental Wizard opponent.

The Thunder Fire Ball, carrying a chaotic state of positive and negative charged ions, left a visible trail in the air. The next moment, it would engulf him.

Even faster were the attacks from the Mechanical Wizard’s flying assistants. The concentrated high-heat energy rays from so many units were enough to completely melt and pierce through a mountaintop.

Fire Element Particle Energy emerged around Wang Ya. The familiar crimson glow reappeared, spreading from his pupils to his face and then his entire body. The high-density Particle Energy flames generated a heat so intense it could make one’s scalp tingle.

[Flame Demon Doppelganger]

In the projection conference room, the heads of the various families couldn’t help but smile, though their smiles were mostly filled with scorn.

’So foolish. Does he really think the legacy of the Rhine Lineage, the Flame Demon Fear Witchcraft, is invincible?’

Kaze Antuun sneered. ’That powerful Defense Power consumes your Particle Energy! How will you resist?!’

’It’s over!!’

On Freshman Square, Gusai Wizard and the others shook their heads with some regret.

Lando Wizard grumbled, ”This is just shameless. Five against one, who could possibly stand against that?”

A gentle breeze rustled the potted plants by the window. In the room belonging to the Salon Association, Xugus Wizard closed the projection screen.

’There’s no need to watch any further.’

’Using the Flame Demon Fear Witchcraft to withstand the power of other Witchcraft is not a wise choice.’

’Even if he has other means to dodge this attack, how can he possibly win against five opponents of the same level, from different Wizard Systems, each with their own array of techniques?’

’Those five must have their own trump cards as well.’

’Their combat experience and situational awareness are both excellent.’

’They are unlikely to make any mistakes.’

Wizard Yi Si snorted coldly. ”Foolish. He had a chance to compete for a top-three spot, and he threw it away with his own hands.”

He had complicated feelings about Wang Ya Harak, but deep down, he had hoped the boy would win and secure a top-three position.

’But... it’s already over!’

Wizard Yi Si’s gaze fell. ’One wrong step, and every step after is wrong.’

...

’Now!’

Inside the Erosion Forest Secret Realm, the look in Wang Ya’s eyes changed in an instant. The vibrational frequency of the Particle Energy in his body shifted in a single moment...
