The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

What followed was the forfeiture of interests, a direct consequence of the outcome.

Although the Antuun Clan wouldn’t be crippled, it was inevitable they would suffer a significant blow.

.......

In the Maple Leaf Forest, two figures walked side by side.

”Junior Brother, congratulations. You’re about to leave your name in the annals of the Dark Land’s history,” Kelan Wizard said with a smile.

”Senior Sister Kelan, I’m sure you saw the real situation. My Dream Witchcraft System isn’t complete yet. It’s too crude, full of holes,” Wang Ya said, shaking his head. ”It was too narrow a victory.”

”But no matter how narrow it was, you still won. In the entire history of the Dark Land, there has never been a precedent of a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice defeating a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice. You’re the first to do it.”

”So, how does it feel? After defeating a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice, basking in the gazes of others... isn’t that a pleasant feeling?” Kelan Wizard said, winking.

Wang Ya felt the aches all over his body. The Particle Energy within him was completely depleted, and even the depths of his mind throbbed with a pain like stabbing needles.

He gave Kelan Wizard a wry smile. ”Right now, all I want to do is get some proper rest and recuperate. I’m in no mood for pleasant thoughts.”

”Alright, I’ll stop teasing you. You really scared me this time.” Kelan Wizard’s expression turned serious as she continued, ”Your performance has likely caught the eye of many Official Wizards. A Level 2 Wizard Apprentice defeating a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice... It’s almost certain that more resources will be poured into you, invested in you.”

”On the other hand, you’ll also be under greater pressure. There’s only one thing you need to do: improve your power with all your might.”

Kelan Wizard’s lips moved, but the sound was incredibly faint. Nevertheless, her words were transmitted directly into Wang Ya’s mind.

”Master probably told you about the Deep Blue Secret Realm, but I’m sure you don’t know all the details.”

”Besides being related to the century of preparation for the Extreme Wizard Apprentices and the opportunity for a breakthrough, it also concerns the internal situation of the Dark Land. The authority and resource allocation for the Twelve Extraordinary Schools are all fixed, having reached a certain balance. If the number of Extreme Wizard Apprentices increases, or if new Official Wizards appear, it will definitely cause problems with resource allocation.”

”If you get more, someone else gets less. Those who already have their shares will certainly be unwilling to give any of it up. The chaos is expected to begin a hundred years from now. And that’s just the internal situation. Outside the headquarters, other Wizard Influences are probably facing the same thing.”

Kelan Wizard suddenly smiled. ”But for you, this is all still too far away. Don’t worry so much. Just focus on consolidating your Dream Wizard Path, and you’ll be fine.”

”Our Illusory Dream Lineage only has you and me as Heritage Wizards, and our School has the fewest wizards overall. We don’t require a large share, so the internal chaos probably won’t affect us.”

Kelan Wizard parted ways with Wang Ya midway, heading in the direction of the Dark Library.

Wang Ya walked alone on the stone-paved path, a thoughtful look in his eyes.

Between what Kelan Wizard had told him and the information he’d gotten from the Illusory Dream Wizard, he was beginning to understand the origins of the internal and external conflicts she mentioned, and how they might develop.

When internal conflicts become too intense, they can only be resolved through external conflicts.

And within the Dark Land Headquarters, there were two competing factions.

Seen this way, the opportunity within the Deep Blue Great Secret Realm was indeed the fuse for the coming chaos.

In fact, there were many such examples in his previous life, which ultimately led to global turmoil.

Wizards always thought far ahead. Often, when an opportunity arose, they had already considered the subsequent events and their resulting consequences.

The more powerful the Wizard, the truer this was.

The Official Wizards, on a higher level, had likely seen even further into the future.

However, something Kelan Wizard said made perfect sense.

Improve his power as much as possible... Wang Ya’s next wizarding plan was to perfect his Dream Wizard Path, which included patching up the flaws in his various Dream Witchcraft techniques.

He also needed to delineate more Wizard Runes for the ’Dream-Recalling Meditation Method’.

His Elemental Wizard Path also had to progress in tandem with his Dream Wizard Path, and he needed to increase the number of techniques in his Flame Demon Witchcraft Stream.

Regarding the six schools of Extraordinary Knowledge, Wang Ya now had some insights and could begin researching the transformation of Particle Energy’s properties. For this, Wang Ya planned to use the theoretical knowledge from his past life to conduct multifaceted experiments.

Then there was the special cultivation of Extraordinary Magical Plants, to see if he could fuse the Extraordinary Traits of Gundas’ Dog and other sources into them.

Power was the foundation for calmly facing any change. The various privileges and resources Wang Ya now possessed were sufficient for his current stage of research.

Moreover, tomorrow he would receive his prize for winning, as stipulated in the Wizard Contract: a Wizard Shop on the Commercial Street. It would serve as an excellent platform to sell the products of his research and experiments in exchange for Magic Stones.

「In the Illusory Dream Garden.」

”This disciple of yours, his power is really something. A Level 2 Apprentice beating a Level 3... He really did set a precedent in the Dark Land.” A rough, loud male voice boomed. It belonged to a bald, muscular man wearing a Golden Wizard Robe.

He was a towering two and a half meters tall and incredibly burly. In his massive hand, he gripped a Poisonous Water Head Child and stuffed it into his mouth, completely ignoring its wails and screams.
