Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

The next day, Qi Sheng stayed until noon.

He left the hotel alone to attend the renaming and unveiling ceremony for the Shengxuan Financial Center.

Tang Qian and Liu Shiwen weren’t ready to check out so early, so they decided to stay and enjoy the hotel a while longer.

The two women saw the large sum of money that had appeared in their bank accounts.

They might as well quit their jobs as flight attendants.

After all, being a flight attendant was a profession that relied on one’s youth.

Flight attendants who continued working past forty were few and far between.

Most flight attendants took advantage of their peak beauty.

They would either marry a well-off, middle-aged man...

...or find a relatively simple, nerdy programmer.

In short, they looked for someone with money.

If you were broke and wanted to date a flight attendant, you could only dream about it.

”Shiwen, what do you think? If we switch careers and go into social media, we should be able to do pretty well, right?”

”Social media?”

Liu Shiwen furrowed her brow. ”I’ve seen a lot of colleagues try to make that switch, and it didn’t go very well for them.”

”Besides, we’re not under any pressure. Even with my monthly allowance of 30,000, I’ll never spend it all as long as I don’t go on a crazy shopping spree.”

Tang Qian argued enthusiastically, ”Since we don’t have any pressure, we don’t have to worry about not making money if we switch careers. All those women in the videos have their beauty filters cranked to the max. We’re genuine, real-life beauties. You really think we can’t compete with those filter-faced freaks?”

”I’ll think about it some more.”

Liu Shiwen still felt it wasn’t a very reliable plan.

Although being a flight attendant was exhausting, it was at least stable.

Unlike Tang Qian’s idea of going into social media, which was truly a career that depended on luck.

”Oh, stop thinking about it! If we start a channel together, the two of us are 100% guaranteed to go viral.”

Seeing that Liu Shiwen was impervious to persuasion, Tang Qian decided to play her trump card.

”Don’t forget, we both have men now.”

”If you stay a flight attendant, smiling and fawning over other men, what do you think Qi Sheng will think?”

”I...”

Liu Shiwen’s mind went completely blank, and she was suddenly rendered speechless.

It was just as Tang Qian said. ’A man as proud as Qi Sheng... would he really allow me to smile and be attentive to other men?’

At this thought, Liu Shiwen’s resolve wavered, but she was still hesitant.

”But what if we don’t make any money? Are we supposed to just rely on the monthly allowance he gives us?”

”Are you stupid? With men of their net worth, whatever little bit they let slip through their fingers is more than enough for us to live like queens.”

Tang Qian tapped Liu Shiwen on the head. ’This woman is so dense.’

’If I were as beautiful as Liu Shiwen, I would have made it big long ago.’

”Alright, I’ll start the channel with you.”

Liu Shiwen had come around.

’Worst case scenario, I’ll just be a kept woman.’

’If the channel starts making money, and I do end up breaking up with Qi Sheng...’

’...at least I won’t be left without a way to earn a living.’

”Then it’s settled! I’ve even thought of a name for the channel. We’ll call it ’Flight Attendant Sisters’.”

”In the beginning, we’ll attract fans with our looks. Once we have a following, we can post some restaurant and store review videos. I guarantee we’ll make money.”

Tang Qian had gone to such great lengths to pull Liu Shiwen into starting the channel because she had her eye on Liu Shiwen’s 600,000.

Starting a channel was very expensive in the early stages.

Paying out of pocket for the initial review videos would cost a fair bit of money.

If the channel really took off and they had to hire a few people, the money they had probably wouldn’t be enough.

Fortunately, if their money wasn’t enough, they could always ask their men for help.

With Qi Sheng’s resources, investing a million or two in them would be child’s play for him.

As for the price... well, at worst, they’d just have to let him experience their ”warm-heartedness” a few more times.

「Shengxuan Financial Center.」

Downstairs, a long line of flower baskets was already on display, all sent by the various companies in the office building.

The tenants now all knew that the building had changed owners.

Wanting to get acquainted with the new owner, the bosses of several companies had personally come to deliver their flower baskets and were now gathered together, chatting.

”I can’t believe Mingyu Group was willing to give up this office building. It was a golden goose.”

”Tell me about it. But the property management service has definitely improved a lot. Right now, I’m just hoping the rent doesn’t go up next year, or my company won’t be able to survive.”

”Whether the rent goes up isn’t up to us. It all depends on what the new owner wants.”

”I don’t think it’ll go up. The Hoya Hotel has already moved out. Unless an even more high-end hotel brand moves in, it’s unlikely.”

”That makes sense. Most of the five-star hotel brands that were going to set up shop in Chengdu have already done so. There are only a few ultra-luxury brands left, but would they even be interested in a run-of-the-mill Grade A office building like this?”

”Shh, the man himself is here. He’s so young!”

...

A red Cullinan came to a steady stop in front of the office building.

Gu Hai, in the passenger seat, was the first to get out, and he opened the rear door for Qi Sheng.

”Chairman Qi!”

Zhou Huaiping quickly shielded the top of the doorframe with his hand, showing Qi Sheng the utmost respect.

”President Zhou, you’re looking well today.”

Qi Sheng smiled and patted Zhou Huaiping’s shoulder.

He naturally had great trust in this loyal general manager.

”Thanks to you, sir. You’ve arrived at the perfect time. The renaming and unveiling ceremony is in a little over ten minutes.”

”A few of the building’s tenants over there would like to meet you. Should I send them away?”

Zhou Huaiping was well aware of the ulterior motives of these wily old-timers.

But he was Qi Sheng’s man, which naturally put him on the opposite side of the tenants.

As far as Zhou Huaiping was concerned, he wished he could raise the rent to be the highest in all of Chengdu.

That would prove his capability and show he hadn’t failed his boss’s trust.

For the tenants, however, the best-case scenario was keeping the rent from increasing, or even seeing it drop slightly.

Their positions were different, so naturally, they saw things from different perspectives.

”Let’s go say hello. They went to the trouble of sending flower baskets, after all.”

Qi Sheng smiled, waved his hand dismissively, and walked toward the small group of business owners.
