Xiao Yan took a deep breath of the slightly dry air, then gently stretched out his palm, his fingertip lightly touching that cluster of dark-golden liquid. After a brief pause, he finally inserted one finger into the liquid.

Wei Yang watched curiously.

Sizzle~

As Xiao Yan’s finger dipped into the liquid, a sudden change occurred. The liquid began to writhe violently, then wrapped entirely around his finger, spreading rapidly until his entire palm was enveloped.

Hiss~

As the dark-golden liquid covered his hand, an uncontrollable surge of pain burst from his palm, twisting his face in agony. Under the dark-golden coating, his palm began to writhe in a strange manner. Faintly, the sound of bones grinding together could even be heard.

”How does it feel? Painful?” Wei Yang asked.

”Yeah,” Xiao Yan gritted his teeth and nodded, ”Feels like my hands about to be destroyed.”

Crack, crack~

The squeezing sensation grew stronger, and just when Xiao Yan thought his palm was about to be crushed to pieces, the sharp pain suddenly stopped. The dark-golden liquid, like a receding tide, seeped into his hand and quickly disappeared.

Apparently, the liquid had been absorbed by his palm. A strange scene that left both of them momentarily stunned. Xiao Yan looked down in surprise at his right hand. At that moment, his palm faintly glowed with a dark-golden light, looking almost metallic.

”How does it feel now?” Wei Yang lightly tapped Xiao Yan’s right hand.

It had a metallic texture, yet still felt flexible.

”Not bad, it doesn’t affect movement,” Xiao Yan flexed his fingers, saying, ”But it definitely feels stronger than before,” As he spoke, he clenched his fist tightly.

Boom!

The air between his fingers was crushed, exploding outward in a compressed burst.

”Seems like that Golden Spirit Saliva really reforged your hand nicely,” Wei Yang stroked his chin and said, ”You’ve basically turned into a literal iron-fist now.”

”Get lost,” Xiao Yan laughed and cursed, ”You fused a special ancient bloodline, your body’s tougher than an Ancient Void Dragon, so yeah, you’ve earned the right to show off—but I haven’t.”

He flexed his dark-golden right hand and muttered, ”Iron or not, as long as it makes me stronger, I don’t care.”

”Check the inside, see how the transformation looks,” Wei Yang reminded.

”Alright.” Xiao Yan focused his mind inward, channeling his perception toward his right palm. Soon, he was surprised to find that several extremely fine, hidden meridians had been opened within his hand.

These meridians were interconnected, forming a strange little circuit that looked quite extraordinary. He circulated his Dou Qi, making the tiny meridians stand out more clearly, ”Brother Wei, take a look.”

Wei Yang’s gaze fixed on the web of looping meridians, and after recalling something, he suddenly realized—the very same tiny circulations were crucial points in the meridian route of the Great Heaven Creation Palm.

In other words, without these small, hidden meridian loops as guides, forcibly using the Great Heaven Creation Palm would only cause the vast energy to gather in the palm without any outlet to release it.

Like a barrel of gunpowder about to explode—if there’s no channel to direct the explosion, the energy would build up internally to the extreme and then burst outward uncontrollably.

Just like a bullet, whose internal gunpowder explosion drives the energy toward the tip, propelling it forward at high speed.

These few small meridians served the same purpose. Otherwise, the user’s entire hand—or even the whole arm—might be completely obliterated.

”So that’s why the Golden Spirit Saliva is needed to temper the hand before one can use it,” Wei Yang realized.

The real key lay in these tiny, hidden meridians. Once that was understood, the Great Heaven Creation Palm no longer seemed so mysterious. In terms of complexity, it wasn’t even as advanced as Ten Sun Destruction, or Xiao Yan’s Angry Buddha Lotus Flame.

Power of Creation? That’s it?

Wei Yang couldn’t help but chuckle. Of course, if you ignore the exaggerated ”Power of Creation” gimmick and look purely at the technique itself, it was still quite brilliant.

After all, being able to develop such a unique meridian circulation method was no small feat. Inside the human body were thousands of meridians—some so hidden they seemed endless. To identify and open new useful ones like these was by no means an easy task.

After all, though the human body may look small, if all the meridians and blood vessels inside were to be extracted and connected end to end, their total length would be enough to circle the earth several times. It was easy to imagine just how complex that system was.

”I wonder if I can use the Great Heaven Creation Palm now?”

A faint heat flickered within Xiao Yan’s eyes—he was eager to try.

Back in the ancient ruins, he had personally witnessed the terrifying power of that palm. So, many Dou Zun had been slain in one strike. If he hadn’t escaped quickly back then, even his own outcome might have been uncertain.

From that day on, he had longed for this technique, and now that he’d finally mastered it, there was no way he could remain calm.

”Please, go ahead,” Wei Yang rolled his eyes and said irritably, waving his hand to collect the jade-white skeleton.

”Hehe.” Xiao Yan rubbed his hands together, stood in the middle of the chamber, and waved, ”Brother Wei, back up a little, move to the side.”

Wei Yang sluggishly stood up and walked toward the edge of the chamber.

”Here I go.” Xiao Yan took a deep breath, then began to circulate his Dou Qi slowly along the meridian path within his mind.

Wei Yang watched intently.

At first, Xiao Yan’s Dou Qi moved quite slowly, and because the route was extremely intricate, he made several mistakes along the way.

Fortunately, his reaction was quick—each time he noticed a mistake, he stopped immediately and dispersed his Dou Qi in time, avoiding any harm.

”Careful, don’t mess this up. If you blow yourself up, I’ll have to find materials to resurrect your dumb ass,” Wei Yang said, half anxious, half joking.

”Relax, I know what I’m doing. Just need a few tries to get used to it.” Xiao Yan waved his hand dismissively.

After several failed attempts, he gradually became proficient. About an hour later—just when Wei Yang was starting to get drowsy—Xiao Yan finally succeeded in completing one full meridian cycle.

”It’s coming!” Xiao Yan shouted lowly.

Wei Yang immediately perked up.

At the moment the Dou Qi circulation was completed, Xiao Yan’s arm trembled, and his right palm suddenly erupted with a bright, dark-golden light. Then, to his shock, he felt the Dou Qi within his body draining away at an astonishing speed—like a tidal wave being pulled into his palm.

”What a terrifying rate of Dou Qi consumption,” Xiao Yan muttered, his expression changing slightly as he sensed how quickly his energy was being devoured.

This Heaven Grade Dou Technique was truly a bottomless pit. Strictly speaking, this was his first time truly using a Heaven Grade Dou Technique powered by Dou Qi alone.

Angry Buddha Lotus Flame didn’t count, since most of its destructive power came from the repelling force between Heavenly Flames rather than Dou Qi itself.

”Heaven Grade Dou Technique, what did you expect?” Wei Yang curled his lips, clearly understanding.

In the past, every time he unleashed a major technique, he’d be completely drained afterward like his body had been hollowed out. Even now, he didn’t dare recklessly use his ultimate moves too often.

As more and more Dou Qi gathered in Xiao Yan’s palm, the dark-golden light grew brighter and brighter. After a while, when that light reached its peak, a faint black gleam suddenly appeared at its center.

The moment the black gleam emerged, a terrifying suction force erupted outward. All the surrounding dark-golden radiance was instantly devoured in the blink of an eye. At that moment, that black gleam began to expand.
