Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

LuxBesides the wine, the captain also ordered a portion of bread slices made with jam and tuguafen, and finally, a stack of meat slices, which was sand pig meat.

Sand pigs are also unique creatures of this world; their size is not large, with an adult sand pig weighing only about one hundred and fifty catties, and its meat quality is average, with a gamey smell. However, because they are easy to raise and reproduce quickly, they have become the main source of meat.

When preparing sand pig meat, a large amount of spices is usually added to cover its original taste, otherwise, it would truly be difficult to swallow.

However, after taking a few bites, Lin Feng immediately lost interest.

The gamey smell and complex spice flavors mixed together truly made it somewhat difficult to swallow, and the meat quality was also poor, dry and tough. It wouldn’t become more flavorful the more you chewed; it would only become more gamey.

In short, from this point on, Lin Feng lost all interest in the cuisine of this world.

The only food he could swallow was the bread slices and jam.

The jam should also be made from sea buckthorn berries, and it tasted quite good.

After resting for a night and replenishing some supplies in the town, the caravan continued its journey.

Lin Feng was also fortunate enough to be arranged on a camel cart, so he didn’t need to walk below.

The scenery along the way was also monotonous yellow sand, and after a while, Lin Feng lost interest.

However, one thing did pique Lin Feng’s interest a little.

The captain of the guard said that they would soon pass through an area where Giant Worms are active, and he warned them to be extra careful.

The Giant Worms here look similar to the one Lin Feng encountered on the Desert Floor before.

Lin Feng was even swallowed directly by one back then, so this time he could finally get his revenge.

In fact, they could have taken a detour to avoid this area where Giant Worms frequently appear, but a detour would add an extra day and night of travel, and the other route always had barbarians appearing. Therefore, the captain ultimately chose the path with the Giant Worms.

Giant Worms might not appear, but those barbarians are guaranteed to appear on the road, as they rely on plundering merchant caravans to strengthen themselves.

“Ahead is the area where Giant Worms might appear. If we truly encounter Giant Worms, I hope everyone does not panic. With our abilities, forming a formation, we can confront one worm.”

“Don’t worry, Captain, everyone here, except for the young Huang, are veterans. Which one of us hasn’t killed a worm?”

“That’s right, and this time we also have a respected Diviner accompanying us. Let alone one worm, even if two come, we are confident we can kill them!”

“Hahaha, don’t include us when you brag!”

The captain felt much relieved looking at the cheerful atmosphere.

It seems that even if they encounter worms this time, no accidents will occur.

Of course, it would be best if they didn’t encounter any.

As the caravan moved forward, everyone gradually quieted down.

Everyone was carefully sensing the vibrations of the ground. Generally, before a worm appears, the surrounding soil will show depressions, and the ground will also have slight vibrations.

So, it is very easy to detect them in advance.

However, Lin Feng had already detected two Giant Worms in advance.

Each of them was over forty meters long.

However, these two Giant Worms were currently sleeping soundly twenty to thirty meters underground.

It is estimated that they would not jump out to attack even after the caravan passed.

To get his revenge, Lin Feng naturally had to find a way to anger these two worms and then lure them out.

Angering these two worms was very simple. Lin Feng gradually solidified his divine sense, then transformed it into two large fists and smashed down with several Bang Bang Bang.

The two sleeping worms were immediately awakened, looking somewhat confused.

One of the worms very keenly sensed the sound of humans walking on the ground, so it subconsciously thought that it was the humans on the surface who had just hit him.

After barking at the other worm, it quickly climbed upwards.

And the guard team above also gradually felt the ground shaking.

The captain immediately became serious.

“Damn it, I didn’t expect to actually encounter a worm. Everyone, quickly form a formation and be careful to protect the goods!”

At the captain’s command, everyone picked up their weapons and surrounded the carriages, while continuously stomping the ground to create vibrations, preventing the Giant Worms from emerging from that spot.

Although this method seems a bit far-fetched, Giant Worms genuinely will not emerge from places with strong vibrations.

Mainly, they are afraid of encountering an ambush.

Bang!

A loud noise sounded, and everyone turned their heads to look, only to see two large, yellowish-white worms emerge from the desert under the sunlight.

The dense, sharp teeth at the front sent shivers down their spines.

With a roar, the two Giant Worms, like fully loaded train cars, charged forward with their mouths wide open.

“Two, two worms! Two worms!”

“Don’t panic! Throw the Molotov cocktails!”

Clap clap clap clap clap!

Following the captain’s command, a dozen Molotov cocktails filled with fuel were thrown out, successfully forming a barrier of flames, thereby preventing the Giant Worms from advancing further.

Of course, this could only briefly delay them for a while. After all, Giant Worms have thick hides and flesh; even if a Molotov cocktail was smashed onto their bodies, nothing would happen.

Seeing the Giant Worms stop, the captain shouted again, “Spears ready!”

“Throw!”

Swish swish swish swish swish swish!

Several sounds of air being torn apart rang out. This was Lin Feng’s first time truly seeing how strong the Mages of this world were.

Even ordinary iron spears were thrown with sonic booms.

The fastest among them was the spear thrown by the captain.

This spear also hit the Giant Worm’s gaping maw.

And pierced through from the side, flying out.

The spears thrown by the other few people also hit the Giant Worms.

For a moment, the Giant Worms, being focused on, became even more enraged.

However, the captain remained completely calm, telling everyone to prepare their spears for throwing again.

Because the size difference between humans and Giant Worms was too obvious, defense was not beneficial for humans. They could only kill Giant Worms by maintaining distance and throwing spears.

It’s no exaggeration to say that the force and speed of the spears thrown by this captain could easily shoot down a helicopter. If he had accuracy and a longer range, even a fighter jet might not be impossible.

“Tsk tsk, this world is really quite interesting,” Lin Feng murmured to himself.

The reason he wanted to establish a force in this world was also because this world’s dynasty would sooner or later come into contact with blue star’s heavenly dao.

At that time, a fierce battle would be unavoidable, and he considered this as preparing for a rainy day.

Although he could easily crush the natives of this world, Lin Feng felt that if he did so, he might be crushed by blue star’s heavenly dao.

When he reached the Tribulation Transcending Stage, he could try to wrestle with the Heavenly Dao, but Lin Feng could at most bully blue star’s heavenly dao now.

Moreover, he felt that blue star’s heavenly dao was also slowly becoming stronger due to the spiritual energy revival.
