After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1253: Chapter 1257: If You Think You’re So Capable, Do It Yourself

Apartment No. 9.

Leng Zirui glanced at the watch on his wrist, finally unable to hold back, he walked over and knocked on the study door.

”Hey, Miss Xu, are you ready yet?”

He had already changed his clothes and been waiting in the living room for over an hour, yet this lady still hadn’t come out, and he simply couldn’t wait any longer.

Inside the room.

Xu Xia frowned at her hair falling loose once again, frustratedly tossing the hairpin she was holding onto the table.

”What are you rushing for, I haven’t finished my hair yet!”

In the past, every time there was an event, Lan Zi and the others would help her with styling, but this time because of Leng Zirui, both of them left, just doing her hair alone was driving her crazy, and with Leng Zirui urging her, naturally, she wasn’t in a good mood to respond.

”You have long hair, right? Haven’t finished in an hour?!”

”You pest!” Xu Xia muttered under her breath, got up, walked over, opened the door, and tossed the comb directly into his arms, ”If you think you can, do it yourself!”

Leng Zirui caught the comb, looked at her messy hair, raised an eyebrow, tossed the comb aside, and placed his hands on her shoulders to turn her around, removing the hairpin from her hair, then spread her hair out with both hands, casually snipped a red Gerbera from the vase next to them, and tucked it behind her left ear.

Stepping back, he looked her up and down.

”Okay, perfect!”

”Are you serious?!”

Xu Xia skeptically walked back to the mirror and looked at herself.

Today’s dress was a special custom red cocktail dress from the brand Xu Xia was endorsing, strapless with a flared skirt, carrying a hint of Bohemian style.

Leng Zirui simply let her hair down and added a flower, just letting her long curls fall over her shoulders, with a hint of her fragrant shoulders showing, elegance mixed with a touch of sensuality, a bit of a tropical vibe, fitting her carefree personality well.

Xu Xia actually rather liked this style herself, but it was her first time presenting such a fresh look on screen, so she felt somewhat uneasy.

”Is this okay?”

She turned around, looking at Leng Zirui walking over.

Leng Zirui carefully looked her up and down.

Xu Xia hadn’t applied heavy makeup tonight, just a very light nude look. Her features were already deep and distinctive, needing little embellishment, the subtle nude makeup made her skin appear crystal clear, especially her eyes, more pronounced.

Seeing her in front of him, Leng Zirui was a bit amazed as well.

He hadn’t looked closely before, just casually fixing her up, but unexpectedly, this girl dressed up had quite the charm.

”How is it then?”

Seeing him not speaking, Xu Xia became more unsure.

It was a really significant event, and every time she walked the red carpet, it was a chance for reporters and fans to critique her, she certainly didn’t want to be deemed the worst-dressed or least tasteful one.

Leng Zirui puckered his lips and whistled, ”With my taste, having seen countless beauties, I’m certain you’ll be the highlight on the red carpet tonight.”

”Really?” Xu Xia checked herself in the mirror again, ”Leng Zirui, don’t deceive me, this event is very important!”

Leng Zirui picked up the jewelry from the table and helped her wear it around her neck, then tidied her hair in the mirror, grabbed her hand and led her towards the door, ”Alright, my lady, let’s not waste any more time, if we don’t leave now, we’ll really be late!”
