I Am Your Natural Enemy

Chapter 106: Chapter 73: The Eldest Senior Brother Who Shoulders Responsibilities, The Arrival of Zhuge Wanjun (5k)

”About eight days, I think.” Wen Yan did a quick calculation and gave a rough answer. Sometimes he had work, sometimes other things came up, so he couldn’t max out his training time every single day.

Qin Kun was struck speechless.

Seven or eight days, and he’d already completed the First Phase of Scorching Sun Fist.

Of course he knew what this meant. When he saw the Little Zombie earlier, he’d actually already started to suspect.

He hadn’t expected the result to be so far beyond his imagination.

He felt like he had to take back what he’d just said.

To get this good in just seven or eight days—to be able to adapt during a fight—you had to meet several criteria at the very least.

You had to be carrying Scorching Sun inside you, be a natural martial arts genius, have great perception, your temperament had to fit the Scorching Sun Fist, and, on top of that, you had to work your ass off.

Suddenly, Qin Kun got it. He suddenly understood why Grand Uncle Master had called him, told him to go mess with this kid.

He even felt a bit regretful that he hadn’t asked more at the time, hadn’t learned all this earlier. Back then he really hadn’t cared much—just thought Grand Uncle Master was getting sentimental with age.

If he’d known, he’d have killed those three Sacred Fire Sect punks on the spot back then.

That way, once the grudge was set, he could use it as an excuse to go abroad, stir up the Sacred Fire Sect’s headquarters for a bit.

Go see if the Sacred Fire Sect still had any records of Scorching Sun, and if they did, burn them all. As for any cultists who knew about it, just kill the lot—tidy things up once and for all.

Those bastards showing up in Nanwu County—could they be onto the resurgence of Scorching Sun?

And here, in this Domain battlefield, there were actually four former Sacred Fire Sect Banner Bearers, transformed into War Souls, still haunting the place.

Maybe the Sacred Fire Sect came to Nanwu County because of all this, too?

Damn, he’d gone way too easy on them. If you’re gonna strike, make sure they’re dead.

He knew all too well what mattered most to Grand Uncle Master in his life. For generations, Fuyu Mountain folks had all wanted to make the sect flourish, but it always ended up barely keeping the decline at bay.

Qin Kun had grown up beside Grand Uncle Master, was born with martial talent, pinned with great hopes—he knew exactly what Scorching Sun meant to Grand Uncle Master.

If the current Scorching Sun were done in by the Sacred Fire Sect and their disgusting tricks—hell, Grand Uncle Master would never rest in peace.

He’d only just met Wen Yan today, didn’t know him well, but he knew Scorching Sun Fist.

To reach this level in just a few days—you couldn’t be some sinister scumbag.

And that Little Zombie wouldn’t just care about Scorching Sun and ignore the person.

Wen Yan trained for a few days, and during Qin Kun’s charging intimidation he actually resisted—talent and smarts like that, if you didn’t practice Scorching Sun Fist, it’d be the Fist’s loss, not Wen Yan’s.

If it were just Scorching Sun, Qin Kun wouldn’t be this worked up.

But Scorching Sun, plus innate talent, discipline, and solid character—that was really rare.

He stepped up and clapped Wen Yan on the shoulder, speaking earnestly.

”Remember this: Don’t go flashing your ability all the time—it’s a bit too eye-catching.

If you run into enemies, just remember—if you use your Power, go all out, don’t hold back for a second.

Especially if you come up against anyone from the Sacred Fire Sect—strike first, make sure they’re dead.

After you kill them, drag the corpse to your Funeral Home, burn it in the Luxury Furnace, then scatter the ashes somewhere.

If you run into any trouble, call me. Seriously, don’t hesitate.

You practice Scorching Sun Fist now, so you’re one of us Fuyu Mountain folks.

I’m the current eldest brother of Fuyu Mountain—if you don’t call me, that’s on you.

Put it bluntly, if you don’t come to me when you’re in trouble, it means you’re looking down on me.

If you call and I can’t sort it, that’s my problem.

Got all that?”

”Got it, Senior Brother Qin.” Wen Yan nodded obediently.

He thought Senior Brother Qin really lived up to his imagination—looking out for his juniors, friendly, but took action whenever needed.

As Fuyu Mountain’s current pillar, he was definitely the one carrying the family on his back.

Qin Kun laughed loudly twice and gave Wen Yan’s shoulder a few hard smacks.

”As long as you remember. Come on, let’s go.”

”What about this place?”

”The four War Souls here? Already beat them to death. The Domain’s gonna collapse sooner or later. As for the rules, no idea, but it doesn’t matter.”

”...”

Wen Yan was speechless. This was the first time he’d seen someone break through a Domain by sheer brute force.

”Oh right, Senior Brother Qin, have you heard of the Chunjun Mace?”

”You got the Chunjun Mace?”

”Someone gave it to me.”

”Oh, then just use it. It’s just a regular weapon—the rumors outside are nonsense; the more they spread, the wilder they get. It actually suits you just fine.”

”What about the Phoenix Hairpin and the Ba Yun Lands—do you know them, Senior Brother Qin?”

”Nope. I’ve just got martial talent, the rest I have no clue about. I’ll ask Grand Uncle Master for you next time. Or, if you’ve got time, I’ll take you back to Fuyu Mountain.”

”I haven’t even formally become a disciple yet, haven’t...”

Qin Kun shot him a glare.

”You practice Scorching Sun Fist, you’re Fuyu Mountain people now. What, you don’t want to acknowledge your Big Brother?”

”No, it’s not that...”

”Then that’s all there is to it! Nowadays, there’s no need for all that formal crap. I say you’re in, you’re in. If anyone’s got a problem, let them say it to my face. If anyone talks crap behind my back, I’ll rip their mouth apart.”

Wen Yan didn’t dare say anything else; inwardly, he thought Senior Brother Qin was really a good guy.

Checking the time, Wen Yan carried the Little Zombie on his back and headed back into the water.
