The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

”What the hell! What’s going on?” This is Wu Yihao.

”What the hell, the door closed! Such a heavy stone door, how did it slam shut? Definitely not something a human could do.” This is Liang Bing.

”Your focus is always so extraordinary.” This is Cui Wenyan.

”A trivial trick, no need to panic. I can open it.” This is Luo Peng.

”There’s ghostly presence here. Seems like there’s a fierce ghost?” Bai Yue’s soft voice sounded.

”We’re here for an adventure, let’s act like it. Go light the torches on the wall.” Tianmiao’s lazy voice echoed.

Wu Yihao and Liang Bing, carrying flashlights, volunteered to ignite the wall torches. Indeed, the lighter sparked them easily; apparently, these torches were often used, soaked with plenty of oil.

”Hey, you guys look, there really are murals here.” Wu Yihao called everyone to come and see.

There indeed were murals on the wall, a group of men and women, old and young, kneeling in worship to a wide-robed man floating in the air, holding a baby in his left arm, with blood dripping from his arm. However, this mural seemed to have been painted later. Because, the craftsmanship was terrible, right?

”My kindergarten nephew could paint better than this.” Liang Bing remarked sarcastically, ”Look at this arm, completely disproportionate. And look at the coloring, it’s not even applied evenly.”

”Is that a dressing table?” Wu Yihao asked, looking at an old item in the corner of the wall.

”Seems like it. Burial artifact? Is the owner of this tomb a woman?” Liang Bing speculated.

”Maybe.” Cui Wenyan’s gaze remained fixed on the front wall, where a strange painting hung. What’s painted was incomprehensible. However, the ghost radar showed, behind this wall, there’s a powerful ghost.

Cui Wenyan stepped forward and knocked on the wall.

”It’s hollow behind.” Wu Yihao curiously walked up, reaching out his hand to knock, producing a hollow sound.

”Should we break it open and take a look?” Liang Bing was eager to try.

Tianmiao had no intention of intervening, just quietly standing behind as they explored on their own.

”I don’t think we can break it open; there should be some mechanism here. Shall we look for it?” Wu Yihao suggested.

”Look for it, look for it.” Liang Bing nodded in agreement, he simply took down the torch and carried it around, finally his gaze fell on the candlestick on the altar, ”Everyone look, there are bloodstains on this candlestick!”

The old copper candlestick had coagulated blood stains below, seemingly not too old, as the stains hadn’t turned black.

”Could it be someone was tricked here and then knocked out for sacrifice?” Liang Bing said, preparing to reach for the candlestick.

”Stop, don’t touch things in this tomb lightly.” Cui Wenyan cautioned, that candlestick was not what it seemed because the Spiritual Eye revealed it was not a candlestick, but a section of a human’s forearm bone, with a candle burning in its palm.

Everyone quickly withdrew their outstretched hands, observing the room with the light of fire.

Cui Wenyan used the electric rod brought by Liang Bing to lift the oilcloth shrouding the altar, and instantly, a rotten smell wafted, Liang Bing covered his nose and retreated a step, waving the torch in front, ”This, this, what is this thing??”

Under the altar was a mass of pitch-black objects, illuminated by the torch light, upon careful inspection, this turned out to be remains of several girls, piled together, almost filling the entire space under the altar. The blackened limbs included hands, feet, thighs, heads, but none were whole bodies. These remains emitted a rancid smell, assaulting everyone’s senses.
