The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 449: Chapter 12: Sunflower Facing the Apocalypse 12

”What did you say? The apocalypse is coming?” Zhou Shiqiu asked, shocked, ”What kind of apocalypse?”

”The kind of apocalypse you’re thinking of,” Xu Yuxi nodded solemnly.

”Then, what should we do?” Zhou Shiqiu said anxiously, ”We should tell more people, but if we do, we’ll both probably end up in a mental hospital...”

”Why do I feel like you have a knack for telling dark jokes?” Xu Yuxi said, the corners of her mouth twitching.

”Well, it’s the truth, isn’t it? If we go telling everyone the apocalypse is coming and try to make them believe us, what’s waiting for us is a mental hospital, right?” Zhou Shiqiu petted the little green plant, his face troubled, ”What should we do then?”

”I’ve already posted the information online, hoping to help some people,” Xu Yuxi said. ”See if you have any friends you know, I’ll give you a survival guide for the apocalypse, and you can send it to them. Hopefully, it can help them.”

”Hmm, thank you, Yuxi, you’re really nice,” Zhou Shiqiu hugged Xu Yuxi tightly.

”Let’s prepare well these days,” Xu Yuxi was actually feeling quite lost inside. Although she had a survival guide, she had never faced anything like this before, so she was naturally unsure, ”I’ll call the bank to tell them to deliver all my stuff that I have with them tomorrow.”

”I’ll help Yuxi keep it safe, not losing a single one,” the little green plant stood on the coffee table, patting its chest with its little hand, ”Don’t worry, don’t worry.”

”Yeah, I trust you, little green is amazing,” Xu Yuxi patted the little green plant, then turned to Zhou Shiqiu, ”Let’s sort out the stuff later and have little green start packing. But, we still have to have hot pot tonight.”

”Eat! A few big meals before the apocalypse, because after that, we might not be able to relax and enjoy a feast like this,” Zhou Shiqiu said fiercely, ”The last supper! Dig in!”

That evening, the two sat by the coffee table, having hot pot. They should’ve been at the dining table, but they wanted to eat and watch TV, so they moved the ’battleground’ to the coffee table.

The fragrant, steaming hot pot made the two of them exclaim in enjoyment. Then, when a piece of news came on the TV, they both froze.

There had been an earthquake somewhere, a level six quake. Then there was a wildfire in a mountainous area. Typhoon landing in Z Country, and a volcano eruption in M Country.

The two of them exchanged glances, the previous light-hearted mood gone, as they simultaneously put down their chopsticks.

”The apocalypse is really coming...” Xu Yuxi’s tone was somewhat heavy.

”Yeah, I wonder if the government can spot anything unusual from these extreme climate changes, if these disasters will trigger alertness and attention,” Zhou Shiqiu’s tone was also heavy.

”I think, someone should notice something’s off,” Xu Yuxi speculated.

”Yes, definitely!” the little green plant suddenly chimed in.

”Oh? Little green, why are you so sure?” Zhou Shiqiu asked curiously.

”Because humans are an incredibly smart species. The limits on both ends are very high. Meaning, there are some really foolish people, that’s true, but there are some smart ones who are beyond imagination. Of course, it wasn’t me who said this,” the little green plant said seriously, its tiny hands crossed, ”This was said by Lord Tianmiao, I just applied it.”
