The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 323: Chapter 30: The Elf Prince’s Wish

Tianmiao looked at the frowning King and Queen, the corners of his mouth slightly curving.

In fact, Xia Chuanyue did not exaggerate or make wild speculations.

In the previous world, Princess Xi Ya was indeed utterly captivated by the Black-tailed Mermaid, determined to marry him. The King and Queen tried their best to stop it. Although Xi Ya agreed at the time, she married the Black-tailed Mermaid after seizing the throne’s power. Then, under his instigation, she issued a series of decrees favoring the Black-tailed Mermaid, gradually squeezing the rights and resources of the Golden Tail and Silver Tail.

The capabilities of the Mermaid Clan were long predestined. Even though many resources were given to the Black-tailed Mermaids, it still had no effect. Meanwhile, the resource-scarce Golden Tails and Silver Tails’ overall strength drastically declined, and complaints filled the air. The conflicts among the Golden Tail, Silver Tail, and Black Tail grew larger, while the Queen constantly defended the Black Tail. Chaos enveloped the Mermaid Clan.

The Golden Tails and Silver Tails launched a coup to overthrow the rule of the muddle-headed Queen. Simultaneously, their nemesis, the Sea Beasts, seized the opportunity to launch a massive invasion.

In this critical moment, Xi Ya sought out Buren, wanting to confide her pressures. However, she discovered that Buren had long been involved with another female Black-tailed Mermaid. After being caught by Xi Ya, Buren self-righteously said, ”You act high and mighty every day, ordering me around, leaving me with no sense of a wife’s gentleness and warmth towards her husband. This Black Tail and I share true love. You’ve gained my body but you’ll never have my heart. If you truly love me, you should let us go and fulfill my happiness.”

Looking at the shameless Buren, Xi Ya’s persistence and sincerity collapsed with a crash.

She cruelly tortured and killed Buren and his Black-tailed lover.

She uttered the first curse of her life: ”To hell with your true love. You filthy pair, just die.”

Then she prepared to end her life as a form of apology before the rebellious Golden Tails and Silver Tails.

She was stopped by her seven brothers.

Her brothers’ words were straightforward: ”You’ve left a mess, and you think you can just die and be done with it? That’s too easy, don’t you think?”

Xi Ya heard the harsh words of her brothers but saw the gentleness and tolerance in their eyes. She burst into tears, and after crying, she wiped her tears. She apologized to all the Golden Tails and Silver Tails, begging them for one more chance. And all seven of her brothers resolutely stood by her.

With her brothers’ assistance, Xi Ya led the Golden Tails and Silver Tails to repel the Sea Beasts’ attack, then quickly repealed some decrees, stabilizing the political situation and restoring the nation’s strength in the shortest time.

Subsequently, Xi Ya became the most legendary iron-blooded Queen in the history of the Mermaid Clan. She never married again or had children. She chose one child among her brothers’ offspring and groomed them to be the next heir.

The latter half of Xi Ya’s life was spent in regret and self-blame, suppressing these emotions while governing the country, forcing herself to live on so that her family could find peace of mind.

Until Xi Ya passed away, she was still full of hatred.

Whom did she hate the most? Not Buren, not Buren’s lover.

But herself.

The foolish self who broke her family’s heart and subjected the Mermaid Clan to suffering.

...

”Should we start now?” the King asked somewhat puzzled, ”What do you need us to do?”

”Just bring the Princess over, or bring that Black Tail if you prefer,” Tianmiao replied with a wicked smile at the corner of his mouth.
