The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

Chapter 321: Chapter 28: The Elf Prince’s Wish

After returning to the Imperial Palace, the lady-in-waiting carried the Princess back to her bedroom.

Tianmiao added, ”If she wakes up and causes a fuss, bring her over.”

The lady-in-waiting glanced at the King, who nodded, and then she bowed her head in agreement before leaving with the unconscious Princess.

The King did not question why the Princess was unconscious but instead invited everyone to sit down, ready to hear their analysis.

Xia Chuanyue glanced at Bart, while Tianmiao lazily remarked, ”Why are you looking at him? Just say what you need to say.”

”Alright, Your Majesty the King, Your Majesty the Queen, regarding the Princess, it was neither poison nor a curse. In this regard, our teacher Bart can confirm.” After speaking, Xia Chuanyue looked at Bart.

The King and Queen also turned their gaze to Bart.

Bart felt a bit frustrated, was this the time they thought of him?

Meeting Tianmiao’s calm gaze, Bart obediently nodded and, finding he could speak, confidently said, ”Yes, the Princess has not suffered any magical harm or curse. She is fine.”

”How can she be fine? She...” The Queen was astonished and immediately retorted, but quickly recovered and apologized, ”Ah, I’m sorry, I’m not questioning your judgment, I just think Xi Ya’s behavior is too out of the ordinary, something’s definitely wrong.”

”Let’s have our academy’s best student explain it to you,” Bart said with a polite smile, looking at Xia Chuanyue. He also wanted to know what this new student could say. Wasn’t it just a matter of the Princess falling for some poor kid? How could it affect the very foundation of the Mermaid Clan? How could it be a disaster for the Mermaid Clan?

Everyone’s eyes were fixed on Xia Chuanyue.

”Your lady-in-waiting previously mentioned that the Princess is very smart and quick to grasp anything she learns. However, you overlooked another aspect, her education on emotions, especially love between men and women. This led her to be deceived by a completely irresponsible black tail, thinking those sweet words were love,” Xia Chuanyue seriously analyzed. Actually, this was a matter of a young Princess, highly intelligent but emotionally naive, being deceived by a black tail.

”Yes, that’s an utterly irresponsible black tail. Every time I wanted to punish that black tail, Xi Ya would cry her heart out. How could I bear to see my Xi Ya sad?” The Queen completely agreed with Xia Chuanyue’s description of an irresponsible black tail.

”This black tail is not simple. He has slowly ensnared the Princess, making her believe they are truly in love. He’s made her give selflessly without regret. The Princess is your clan’s future successor, your future queen. If a Golden Tail Queen marries a black-tailed commoner, and the black tail persuades her to advocate for the black tails, would the Queen agree?” Xia Chuanyue smiled slightly and spoke slowly.

At this point, the King and Queen’s expressions had turned very unpleasant.

Would she?

With Xi Ya’s temperament, she would.

So, what consequences would that lead to?

”The disparity in status between the Princess and that black tail is far too great. That black-tailed mermaid named Buren, I highly doubt he would honestly become a Consort. People like him are insecure and selfish, yet they would pretend to be steadfast. He is attached to the Princess but refuses to admit that he’s dependent. He claims he wants to give the Princess a better life? How could he? He only aims to elevate his own status while lowering the Princess’s. If the Princess changes many policies for his sake, which all benefit the black tails, how would you Golden Tails and Silver Tails react?” Xia Chuanyue questioned again.
