I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse

Chapter 1899: The Thunderous Winged Bearsʼ Patriarch Missing Son!

Alfred didnʼt say another word. He folded his arms and leaned back, refusing to share even a shred of additional data. Reluctantly, the Dragon elders began to navigate their system interfaces.

To them, looking for information on a ”useless human” felt like a chore beneath their dignity. Yet, the atmosphere in the hall shifted drastically within seconds. The moment they spotted the close-up images of Hyeʼs fleets, the boredom vanished.

Unlike the other races, who reacted to the sheer number of ships or the odd mixture of tech, the Dragon elders reacted to something far more ancient.

”That design… That symbol… No way!” The oldest Dragon elder stood up slowly. His massive, scaled body wasnʼt shaking from age, but from a raw, primal excitement. ”Hahahaha! Now I understand why you proposed this! Fantastic! Truly a masterstroke, Alfred!”

His excitement wasnʼt a solitary event. Around the hall, the other elders began to cheer, their roars vibrating the very foundations of the star-chamber. They looked as if they were celebrating the most significant victory in a millennium.

”Thanks, itʼs all thanks to the Elderʼs guidance,” Alfred replied smoothly. He knew this was his moment of triumph, but he remained acutely aware of how treacherous and dangerous the oldest elder could be.

The patriarch was famous for extinguishing any rising star that threatened his absolute authority. There was a reason the age gap between the patriarch and the next oldest elder was measured in thousands of years—he was a survivor who didnʼt tolerate competition.

”Nice,” the oldest elder remarked, his keen senses not missing Alfredʼs careful posturing. He turned back to the projected images, his eyes burning with a cold, predatory light.

”Now, letʼs spread the word across the stars. Letʼs tell the clans of the other side that the son of the missing Thunderous Winged Bearsʼ patriarch was killed at the hands of this human—a human supported by the top race in our universe. Letʼs end this useless peace. We shall destroy one universe before we ruin the other!”

”Letʼs do it!” All the elders rose as one, their collective roars shaking the hall. They felt it in their blood—their return to their promised homeland was finally drawing close.

Far away from the cosmic machinations of the Dragons, Hye was busy reaping the harvest of his crushing and overwhelming victory. In the Hot Zone, the owners of the various worlds were in a state of total collapse.

They couldnʼt find a single way out of the path of Hyeʼs expected wrath. Seeing the devastation he had wrought on those who resisted, those who had previously harboured second thoughts ditched them instantly.

One by one, they all signalled their surrender, desperate to join Hyeʼs side before he turned his sights on them.

Only twenty-two worlds remained untouched—the ones already firmly under the control of the established big races. Hye wasnʼt a fool; he knew better than to target those territories just yet. He had already gained far more than he had initially hoped for when he first stepped into this war.

[I donʼt know what kind of magic tricks you used to convince all of them, but luckily, the worlds you sent lately helped immensely in expanding our territory of inhabitable planets,] Isac sent a message through the channel.

The rest of the group expressed their utmost shock. They werenʼt even halfway finished with the administration and bridging of the first Hot Zone Hye had conquered, and now he had suddenly presented them with seventy-eight more planets to manage.

[Just send your most trusted subordinates,] Hye replied, his mind already three steps ahead. [And send one of the one hundred faction leaders with their full forces over here immediately. I donʼt have the luxury of waiting for you to finish the first zone. I need to strike while the iron is hot. Iʼm moving on to more Hot Zones.]

[What about the portals?] Angelica asked, her tone pragmatic despite the chaos. [Did you finish laying out the network?]

Hye was currently a whirlwind of activity. He was busy overseeing the looting of bones, clearing out the massive inventories of the fallen, and harvesting every ship that could still be repaired after the massive space battle.

[Iʼm working on it. Give me half a day, max!] He had already dispatched his Soulers and Reapers in the smallest, fastest scout ships. Their mission was to visit every planet that had surrendered to him and drop the necessary anchor points for the portal system.

[But be prepared. Once I open the portals, your people must be ready to step through and take control instantly.]

[Iʼll handle that part of the logistics then,] Angelica sent back with a soft sigh that Hye could practically hear through the text. [I know you wonʼt stop here. Youʼre like a wildfire.

Iʼll train the most capable individuals for the task and send them over. As for the defensive measures for the new worlds, I believe itʼs best to let the others handle that part. Iʼll focus on the administration and the transition.]

Hye knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that he could depend on her to handle the dizzying logistics of a mass population transfer across his expanding territory. The scale was unprecedented, but his vision remained clear.

[One of the new faction leaders will handle this sector, and the same will apply to all future sectors. Got it?]

He finalised the command with a sharp mental flick, broadcasting the directive to all his friends and commanders. There was no room for ambiguity when dealing with the fate of billions.

From the periphery of the command centre, Olana watched in quiet fascination. She observed the terrifying efficiency with which Hye and his inner circle managed the growing snowball of a population. It was a logistical nightmare that would have paralysed most galactic empires, yet here they were, weaving through the chaos with practised ease.

She knew Hyeʼs original intentions better than most; he had never truly intended to hijack these worlds or engage in a gruelling competition for planetary supremacy.
