”I...” As expected, Ovilia’s face paled at those words, and a visible panic flared in the depths of his eyes. What he had said wasn’t wrong; even if the other party was Bishop Hales—the most deservedly powerful of the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church’s nine current bishops—he absolutely could not give up this top-tier Presidential VIP Room.

However, even though that was the case, the fact that Cariman had blurted it out in front of Bishop Hales made the implications unavoidably terrifying.

The most powerful figure among the nine bishops of the illustrious Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church was about to have his room taken by him, Ovilia, a mere peak Blood Clan Duke. What kind of act was this? To put it bluntly, it was a complete and utter disregard for the Bishop. How could he not be enraged?

Just then, before the stern-faced Bishop Hales could speak, the middle-aged man behind him, dressed in the uniform of a Paladin of the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church, cut in first. His expression and tone were very displeased, making his voice sound gloomy. ”Then why didn’t you say so before? That the rooms are already fully booked?”

”My apologies, Nuoi Fen Paladin. I originally thought that with Bishop Hales’s esteemed status, there would be some room to maneuver. After all, only the most honorable guests are eligible to stay in our Brad Family’s five top-tier Presidential VIP Rooms, isn’t that right...”

”Enough! Cariman, I advise you to put away your little schemes. With Bishop Hales’s status and position, how could he be so easily provoked by you?” Before Cariman could finish, Ovilia surprisingly interrupted him.

Instantly, Cariman’s expression changed. She wasn’t a fool. Things have already reached this point, yet Ovilia still dares to yell at me in front of Bishop Hales. Could it be? Is his guest truly someone of such astonishing status, position, and power that... in Ovilia’s eyes, he carries even more weight than Bishop Hales!?

Cariman immediately fell silent, her heart racing with panic. Paladin Nuoi Fen, and even Bishop Hales himself, now wore strange expressions.

”Your name is Ovilia, correct? Who is your guest?” Bishop Hales finally spoke.

”Bishop Hales...” Ovilia’s expression shifted slightly at the question.

He wasn’t sure if the other party knew Mr. Chen Fei.

And if he doesn’t, then...

”What? Why aren’t you answering His Grace the Bishop’s question? Are you lying?” Seeing the hesitation, Paladin Nuoi Fen stepped forward with a cold face to interrogate him. If Ovilia was indeed lying, it would be a disgrace to him, Paladin Nuoi Fen; to the man he followed, the great Bishop Hales; and to the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church that stood behind them!

”Excuse me, please step aside...”

Just then, a calm, youthful voice sounded from behind them.

Then, as the voice faded, Paladin Nuoi Fen, who had been pressing forward aggressively, was suddenly thrown back as if repelled by some invisible force.

This scene naturally caused everyone’s expression to change drastically.

They spun around, their gazes locking onto a young man with distinct Eastern features who had mysteriously appeared behind them. This sight made their faces shift again. However, upon seeing the young man, Ovilia’s face lit up with joy, and he let out a visible sigh of relief. He quickly walked over to Chen Fei and bowed. ”Mr. Chen, you’ve arrived...”

Clearly, the young man was none other than our very own Chen Fei, Young Master Chen.

”Mr. Chen?”

Hearing Ovilia’s address and seeing him bow, the crowd’s expressions shifted once more, but this time, it was with a sense of bizarre astonishment. Him? It’s him? For the sake of a kid like this, Ovilia actually dared to refuse Bishop Hales? Has he lost his mind? Is he looking for death?

”Who are you?” Just then, Paladin Nuoi Fen blocked Chen Fei’s path, his face a mask of cold fury. His tone became incredibly severe; clearly, the recent events had left him feeling deeply humiliated.

He, a great Paladin of the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church and a follower of the great Bishop Hales, had just been so bizarrely embarrassed in front of a young man—inexplicably thrown back to clear a path. How could he possibly accept such a reality?

”...Move.” However, our Young Master Chen clearly had no time to waste on someone like him. He glanced at the troubled Ovilia, a corner of his mouth curling up as he delivered the cold command.

”What did you say?! You’re looking for...” Paladin Nuoi Fen’s face contorted with rage. How dare a mere little brat tell him to move?

”Shut up,” Bishop Hales suddenly commanded, his expressionless face turned towards his follower.

”Yes!” Paladin Nuoi Fen’s expression changed, but he didn’t dare say another word.

Having dealt with that, Bishop Hales turned his cold face towards Chen Fei. His gaze was heavy as he stared at him, speaking in a flat tone, ”My name is Hales, from the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church. Perhaps you should know who I am?” He said it as if stating a simple fact, a matter of course. The Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church was one of the most powerful organizations in all of Europe, even ranking above the great Mafia Families!

Therefore, he, Hales, the strongest of the nine current bishops of the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church, believed that any expert above S-rank on Earth absolutely should know of him. Even if this kid was from the East, he shouldn’t be an exception.

This time, however, his intended display of power fell completely flat. Our Young Master Chen simply shook his head and said, ”Never heard of you. I don’t know you.”

”What did you say?” Paladin Nuoi Fen was enraged again, his face twisting into a snarl. It’s impossible for Chen Fei to have never heard of the man I follow, Bishop Hales. To say he hasn’t heard of him and doesn’t know him? What is this but a pathetic attempt to grab attention, a barefaced lie? This wretched little bastard is detestable! He deserves to die!

”Never heard of me, and you don’t know me?”

Even Bishop Hales was clearly angered by the remark. His already cold face grew darker, more forbidding. He fixed his eyes on Chen Fei and said in a frigid tone, ”Very well, then let me introduce myself. My name is Hales, from the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church. My current position in the church is... the First Red Robed Bishop!” After speaking, he couldn’t help but lift his chin slightly, as if this were something to be immensely proud of.

And indeed, it was. The position of First Red Robed Bishop of the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church was truly one of immense power, second only to the Red Robed Archbishop, the Pope, and his vice.

”Oh. And? Is there something you want to say to me?” But Chen Fei’s reaction was utterly flat, completely nonchalant. It was as if he had just heard someone mention some ordinary job title. He showed no trace of surprise, shock, or awe, which in an instant made Bishop Hales feel utterly foolish. I feel like a ridiculous clown.

”You insolent brat, I suggest you don’t get too carried away!” Paladin Nuoi Fen snarled again, his face savage. SHING! He drew the longsword at his side, and an extremely potent Power of Light instantly surged forth, causing both Cariman’s and Ovilia’s faces to pale.

”P-Paladin Nuoi Fen, please stop!” Cariman said, her face draining of color.

”Paladin Nuoi Fen, this is the ancient castle of the Brad Family. I must ask you to show some restraint!” Ovilia’s tone, in contrast, was much firmer.

He had no choice. He had to show his resolve for Mr. Chen to see. With Mr. Chen here, what did he possibly have to fear?

Seeing this unfold, our Young Master Chen simply fell silent. His eyes, however, narrowed once more, and a glint of cold light flashed deep within them. It was a flash caught by Bishop Hales, whose own eyes flickered for a moment.

Then, a faint, cold arrogance appeared on the old man’s face, and he spoke calmly, ”I, Hales, have no quarrel with your Brad Family. In fact, it was you who personally invited me from the church. But now, are you treating me, Hales, as a guest should be treated?”

He was, of course, referring to the fact that despite his status and position, he couldn’t even secure one of the Brad Family’s five top-tier Presidential VIP Rooms. What was this supposed to mean? Were they looking down on him, Hales? Was this a deliberate humiliation!?

If that’s the case, what does it matter if I, Hales, stir up some trouble in this Brad Family castle today? I refuse to believe that this little Eastern brat carries more weight than I do. How could that be realistic?

”Bishop Hales, my apologies. This is indeed our oversight. On behalf of the family, I, Cariman, extend our most sincere apologies to you,” Cariman suddenly said. Her words made Ovilia’s face flush with anger. Isn’t she just throwing me and Mr. Chen into a pit of fire?

It was clearly her own mistake, Cariman’s selfish desire to show off in front of him and curry favor with Hales, the First Red Robed Bishop of the Holy Church of the Divine Holy Church. She broke the rules, and now things had come to this! And now she was making this righteous apology in the family’s name? What was this if not adding fuel to the fire?

”Hmph!”

This only served to further displease Bishop Hales and his follower, Paladin Nuoi Fen. At a glance from his master, the Paladin once again stepped forward, advancing menacingly on Chen Fei. ”Vacate this top-tier Presidential VIP Room right now,” he barked, ”and we’ll consider this matter concluded.” From start to finish, the man seemed to have no concept of politeness or the principle of first come, first served.

At this, a surge of annoyance rose in our Young Master Chen. His eyes turned cold as he glanced at Bishop Hales before letting his gaze fall upon the aggressive Paladin Nuoi Fen.

”Get out!”
