”Blisto, can this young man really make Lord Duke Brad change his mind?” Earl Aikenal still found it hard to believe and couldn’t help but blurt out the question. The current Clan Leader of the Brad Family, Lord Duke Brad, was a powerhouse at the absolute peak of the Blood Clan Duke rank! How could such a prestigious figure give face to a mere young man from the East? Impossible!

”Earl Aikenal, Mr. Chen is our Brad Family’s most honored guest!” Blisto’s eyelid twitched as he replied, quickly shooting the Earl a look, terrified he might say the wrong thing. ”If it weren’t for some sudden chaos within our family, the one standing before you now, accompanying Mr. Chen and guiding his way, would have been my father, Old Brad, not me.”

”What!?” Despite the warning, Earl Aikenal trembled, his face changing dramatically. The most honored guest of the Brad Family? Even a great figure like Lord Duke Brad himself would personally act as his escort? That man was a peak Blood Clan Duke! Even within the entire Western Dark World, he was an absolute top-tier figure whom no one could afford to offend. Not to mention, Old Brad was also the current Clan Leader of the Brad Family. As one of only three great Mafia families among the Eleven Major Mafia Families of Europe, did the Brad Family’s power and dominance even need to be stated?

Yet now, Blisto had said such a thing... How could Earl Aikenal not be utterly shocked?

This, this… No wonder that young man from the East had the courage to speak like that. So that’s how it is.

At this thought, even a seasoned old man like Earl Aikenal no longer dared to be disrespectful in front of Chen Fei, who appeared so deceptively harmless. He gave a respectful, trembling salute to Chen Fei and said, ”Respected sir, please forgive my prior ignorance of your identity…”

”My... my lord...” Even Du Liwei grew flustered, not even daring to look up at Chen Fei again as she lowered her head.

”Earl Aikenal, and the lovely Miss Du Liwei, I’m not that frightening. I don’t bite.” Seeing this, Chen Fei helplessly stroked his chin, feeling a bit exasperated.

He then looked at Blisto, who had knelt with a thud, and casually pulled him to his feet. ”Go speak to your father about it later. Tell him it’s for my sake. As long as you two truly love each other, I’ll play the good guy this once and help you out.” With his current cultivation level and strength, he was naturally qualified to make such a statement.

”Th-thank you... Mr. Chen, thank you so much! Du Liwei, come and thank Mr. Chen too…” Blisto was so overcome with emotion he was nearly speechless, immediately beckoning to Du Liwei, who was still standing dazed nearby.

”Oh, ah, oh… My, my lord, thank you.” Du Liwei seemed to finally awaken from a dream, stuttering her thanks to Chen Fei. It was clear she hadn’t fully recovered from the shock and excitement; a look of disbelief was still plain on her pretty face. She pinched the back of her hand as if to check she wasn’t dreaming.

”It’s nothing, really. I’m just lending a hand since I’m here. It’s no big...” Chen Fei smiled and waved his hand, but his expression suddenly froze. His gaze flickered as he scanned the distance.

In the direction he was looking, a group of men with vicious glares and cold smiles were approaching, quickly surrounding them.

”Haha, the lovely Miss Du Liwei! And isn’t this Earl Aikenal? I never expected to run into you here. Let’s see where you can hide now. You’d best surrender to our master obediently!” Although the approaching men all emanated the Divine Holy fluctuations of Light Magic, they were repulsive to look at. The faces of many were twisted with mockery and lewd grins.

The one who appeared to be their leader was shrouded in a potent Power of Light. However, the arrogant, lecherous smirk on his face was incredibly unsettling. Upon seeing them, Young Master Chen’s brow furrowed, and a faint, cold glint flashed in his eyes.

Are these guys looking for trouble?

”Du Liwei, Earl Aikenal, who are they? What is going on?” Blisto’s eyes darkened as he demanded an answer. Who were these people, and how dare they have designs on his Du Liwei?

”I…” Du Liwei began, her voice filled with indignation. ”Blisto, those men have gone too far! You have to help me get even with them!”

”Silence! What nonsense are you spouting... Blisto, they’re from the Barton Family!” Seeing his daughter speaking so recklessly, Earl Aikenal’s face paled as he hastily cut her off. He clearly knew that his Horton Family could not afford to provoke these people.

”What? The Barton Family?” Blisto’s expression shifted the moment he heard the name.

”What’s the matter? Is this Barton Family very powerful?” Chen Fei asked, his eyes flickering slightly.

”Mr. Chen, the Barton Family is the strongest Light Magic family in Greece! Their most powerful member, Dumbledore Barton, even became a Grand Mage of Light a few years ago…” Seeing that Chen Fei was unaware of the Barton Family’s might, Aikenal hurriedly explained in a low voice.

”Grand Mage of Light?” Chen Fei paused.

”It’s a title within magician circles,” Blisto quickly clarified. ”An S-rank magician is called a Magister, an SS-rank magician is called a Grand Mage, and an SSS-rank magician is known as a Holy Magister.”

Although the Barton Family was far inferior to the Brad Family in terms of top-tier powerhouses, they specialized in Light Magic—the very bane of the Blood Clan. Because of this, no one in the Blood Clan, let alone the Brad Family, would ever want to provoke a Light Magic family. A direct confrontation would be incredibly troublesome. For example, even though Dumbledore Barton had only recently become a Grand Mage of Light, in a fight against a Blood Clan member, he would likely be even more formidable than an ordinary powerhouse at the peak of the Blood Clan Grand Duke rank. That much was evident.

However, while a Light Magician could suppress the Blood Clan, they couldn’t affect Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, in the slightest. Besides, a Light Magister? An SS-rank powerhouse? Was he still concerned about that level of power now?

”Oh, so it’s just SS-rank? With me here, you have nothing to fear,” he said with a casual laugh.

”With you here, they have nothing to fear? Quite the boast.” By now, the members of the Barton Family were close enough to overhear Chen Fei. Their leader, a brown-haired man who looked to be in his forties or fifties, sneered. ”Judging by your appearance, you must be from the East. A mere Easterner dares to run wild in our West? Are you looking for death?”

As he spoke, a powerful and arrogant surge of the Power of Light pulsed from him.

”A Light Magister!?” Earl Aikenal trembled violently, his face draining of color. He never imagined their opponent would be a Light Magister! We’re finished!

Blisto’s face also changed dramatically, a sense of panic rising within him. Although he was Old Brad’s son, he was merely a Blood Clan Marquis. Now he was facing a Light Magister. Given that Light Magic was their weakness, even his father might not be able to contend with this man. How could he not be afraid?

But then he remembered Chen Fei was right beside him. He leaned in and whispered, ”Mr. Chen…” Mr. Chen killed the legendary assassin Jack the Blade, so he has to be stronger than a Light Magister, right? It was a simple deduction, but the psychological shadow that Light Magicians had long cast over the Blood Clan made his heart pound with panic and doubt. He should be stronger than this man, right? He has to be.

”Lord Magister Boris,” Earl Aikenal, clearly panicked, quickly played his card. ”This is Marquis Blisto, son of Duke Brad, the current Clan Leader of the Brad Family. They did not know it was you who had arrived. I beg you, on account of the Brad Family, to let this go just this once.”

”Oh, the Brad Family, is it? The son of Duke Brad?” The arrogant Magister Boris glanced at Blisto, then pointed a finger at Chen Fei with a sneer. ”So that Easterner is your friend. No wonder he’s so brazen. I will certainly give the Brad Family face. You may leave. Aikenal, you can go too. But your daughter and that brat stay behind!”

”What!? No!” Blisto’s expression changed instantly. He could never abandon Du Liwei or Mr. Chen.

”No?” Magister Boris clearly hadn’t expected Blisto to dare defy him. His face darkened. ”Have you little bats gotten dumber the longer you’ve lived? Even if your father, Old Brad, were here himself, he wouldn’t dare speak to me that way! What do you think you are? You dare to refuse me? Do you even have the right to speak here!?”

”Such big words,” Chen Fei said coldly, lifting his head. ”He doesn’t have the right to refuse, you say. What about me? Do I?”

”You?” Magister Boris’s gaze fell back on Chen Fei, his eyes filled with disdain and mockery. ”And what are you supposed to be?” he asked contemptuously.

”Mr. Chen, please help us…” Before the echo of Boris’s words had faded, the panicked Blisto turned and pleaded for help from Chen Fei—this young Eastern man who looked to be in his early twenties—right in front of the Magister’s face. Boris was stunned for a moment, then his face filled with ridicule.

”It seems your disgusting little bat brain really has gone rusty. Him? What can *he* possibly do to help you?” Magister Boris laughed in exasperation at Blisto’s plea. Mocking him, he silently incanted and instantly unleashed a Light Magic spell.

”Sword of Light!”
