”There is a connection, Chen, but the current situation isn’t quite what you think,” Old Brad said immediately, seeming to have read Chen Fei’s mind. ”If it were a Divine Demon at its peak, our Brad Family would have had no ability to resist and would have been wiped out long ago.”

He paused slightly and then continued slowly, ”So, the reality is that it is now extremely weak. It no longer possesses the terrifying strength of the Realm of the Holy Domain.”

”Oh, is that so?” Chen Fei’s eyes flickered slightly as he waited for him to continue.

”Chen, do you remember the great war of the last century?” Old Brad took a deep breath, revealing a piece of news that slightly shook Chen Fei. ”It swept across the entire Earth but was mysteriously concluded. In fact, that was because our Eastern and Western worlds had secretly settled the contest and signed a non-aggression peace treaty! During that great war, the Holy Domain experts from our Western Dark World, and your Eastern Immortals, both personally took action!”

Of course, Chen Fei knew about that great war from the last century; he had learned about it in his history textbooks. He just never imagined this was the real story behind it. Eastern Qi Practitioners and Western Holy Domain experts had actually come to blows? Still, it wasn’t impossible. After all, he had met one before... that old geezer from the Black Demon Palace.

”Keep talking.” A strong sense of interest grew in Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, and he didn’t want to listen to Old Brad beat around the bush any longer.

”Yes.” Hearing the tone in Chen Fei’s voice, Old Brad dared not drag it out any longer and slowly began his tale. ”Deep within the Brad Family Castle, there is a forbidden area. That place was once the site of a life-and-death battle between a Demon of the Holy Domain from our West and one of your Eastern Immortals! And right now, that Demon of the Holy Domain... is still alive!”

”Still alive?!”

Before Old Brad could finish, Chen Fei’s eyes narrowed sharply, his face showing his astonishment. If what Old Brad said is true, that battle took place over a century ago! For that Demon of the Holy Domain to still be alive... what does that mean?

”Our Western Demons of the Holy Domain typically possess an astonishingly potent life force, which is how it managed to survive until now,” Old Brad explained quickly, seeming to notice Chen Fei’s shock.

This explanation put Chen Fei somewhat at ease. But then his eyes narrowed again. ”You said it was a battle to the death. What about the other one, our Eastern Qi Practitioner? Did he die?”

”Yes,” Old Brad said gravely. ”According to the Demon of the Holy Domain, the Eastern Immortal is indeed dead. But before dying, he paid a heavy price to leave behind one last measure! He sealed the Demon of the Holy Domain at their battle site, hoping that time itself would wear it down!”

”Sealed at the battle site?” Chen Fei’s expression changed once more. He knew the ”seal” the man spoke of had to be a Formation. But what kind of Formation, created by someone at the Late Stage of Qi Refining, could last for nearly a hundred years? That’s...

Don’t tell me that Demon of the Holy Domain and the Qi Practitioner were at the Foundation Establishment Realm!? Otherwise, there’s no way a Formation from the Qi Refining Realm could last this long! At this thought, Chen Fei’s brow furrowed deeply.

If things are really as I suspect, and even a Foundation Establishment Cultivator was defeated... wouldn’t I be courting death by getting involved? We’re not even on the same level!

”Yes. It’s precisely because of that seal that our Brad Family has been able to continuously draw benefits from that Demon of the Holy Domain, plundering its power. But now... it seems the seal can no longer hold on,” Old Brad said, his voice filled with worry.

Although he lacked Chen Fei’s vast knowledge, the Brad Family’s years of contact with the entity made them certain of one thing: the sealed Demon of the Holy Domain still possessed, at the very least, the power of the sss+ Invincible Peak! If it were to break the seal, the Brad Family would pay a terrible price—they might even be annihilated. After all, this was a being that was once a Holy Domain powerhouse and was now an invincible sss+ demon! An existence like that was no laughing matter.

At this thought, Old Brad licked his dry lips and looked at Chen Fei with pleading eyes. ”Chen, according to the calculations of my grandfather, our family’s powerful Blood Clan Prince, that seal can only last for another half a month at most! That’s why I’ve come this time. I want to ask you to help our Brad Family, to ambush and kill the Demon of the Holy Domain while it is still restrained by the seal!”

”Ambush and kill it?” Chen Fei’s eyes flickered.

”Yes, an ambush.” Old Brad nodded firmly. ”This matter is far too serious, so our family can’t afford to be careless. Before I came here, my grandfather and the elders of the Brad Family all went out personally. They are seeking help from their old friends and other major powers! And of course, our family will not be stingy with the reward.”

As he spoke, Old Brad licked his lips again, a fiery glint in his eyes as if even he couldn’t resist the temptation. ”Although the Demon of the Holy Domain is weak right now, it was once a true Holy Domain powerhouse. It must have many treasures. A Demon of the Holy Domain’s blood and horns are some of the most precious treasures on Earth! They could even be used to create an sss-Level Powerhouse or a Divine Artifact! Chen, if you agree to help our family, all the treasures on the Demon of the Holy Domain are yours. Our family won’t take a single thing! And don’t forget, the body of your Eastern Immortal is still at the battle site. His relics are completely useless to us Western Cultivators!

”Furthermore, no matter what treasures you obtain from the battle site, the Brad Family will still owe you an additional favor. Just say the word. As long as it is something our family can do, we will have absolutely no problem fulfilling it.”

It had to be said, Old Brad was an excellent negotiator. The temptation became especially potent now that Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, suspected the two combatants weren’t merely at the Late Stage Qi Refining and Holy Domain level, but at the legendary Foundation Establishment Realm.

Even a Foundation Establishment Expert couldn’t have survived for nearly a hundred years with such grievous injuries. So, even if this so-called Demon of the Holy Domain has a resilient life force, after a century of being worn down, it must be at its absolute weakest point, right? In other words, with my current strength, I might actually have a fighting chance. And if I succeed... Never mind anything else, just the relics of a suspected Foundation Establishment Expert are enough to make my heart race.

”Fine!”

At that thought, he cast aside his hesitation. The single word sent Old Brad into a state of ecstasy.

”Oh, my dear Chen! I believe that after we eliminate that Demon of the Holy Domain, you will feel that you made the right and most exciting decision. Thank you!” Old Brad said, ecstatic.

Chen Fei had managed to kill both Granny Doya and Nemosin. He had also fought the powerful Prince Ashford—Old Howard—who wielded the Battle Axe of the Hill Giant, and had only been at a slight disadvantage. This was more than enough to prove his formidable strength!

For such a powerful expert to be willing to help them deal with the Demon of the Holy Domain was naturally good news for the Brad Family. In fact, it was the best news they could have hoped for!

”However, Old Brad, I have one more condition you must agree to,” Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, suddenly added.
