MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1738 1738: Perks of an Archivist

”Pretty good titles,” said Ataraxia in response, only to then follow it up with a message through their connection.

ʼI got more or less the same things you did after you became a part of the Mystic Plane,ʼ he said to his other self. ʼA title covering my position, a title signifying my contribution to the plane, and a title that improves my stats more than the other two.ʼ

”Mind if I take a look?” Inwardly nodding in response to the message the former sent him, Valyr followed up the young manʼs words with a request.

Understanding the reason why his other self voiced out his reply to his message, Ataraxia soon nodded in agreement as he brought up his notification screen through the system.

Ding!

Turning it around for Valyr to look at, the young man decided to have Marcus and Mystia take a look at it as well, seeing that the notifications he received werenʼt personal in any way.

[You have affiliated yourself with the Mystic Plane, becoming a core part of its hierarchy.]

[Your current position is [Archivist]. Your current rank is [Director-level]. Consult the Overseer of the Mystic Plane to possibly improve your rank and position.]

[As you have become the official Archivist of the Mystic Plane, you have obtained the positionʼs corresponding title ʼArchivist of the Mystic Planeʼ.]

[You have greatly contributed to the improvement of the Mystic Plane!]

[Because of this achievement, you have obtained the title ʼBenefactor of the Mystic Planeʼ.]

[You have been infused with Mystic Energy.]

[Your body has taken this energy to reforge and improve itself, gradually transforming itself into a body thatʼs more attuned towards Mystic Energy.]

[You have obtained the passive skill ʼMystic-attuned Mindʼ.]

[Your Mystic Energy has improved by 600 points.]

”…I see.” As he went over the notifications his other self obtained through the system, Valyr began to nod in understanding. ”Itʼs more or less the same titles I got when I became a Guardian, but also different in some ways.”

”Youʼre talking about the third title, right?” asked Mystia, getting the feeling that the young man was pointing out that specific notification from the list.

”I havenʼt confirmed whether or not itʼs true yet, but I feel that it has something to do with our position in the Mystic Plane.”

”Is that so?” Raising his eyebrow in response to those words, Valyr gave her words a bit of thought, only to nod soon after as the argument made sense.

After all, for someone to be considered a Guardian, aside from having a high level of combat strength, one would also need a body that could withstand a lot of attacks. In that case, obtaining a title like [Mystic Physique] would be more apt.

On the other hand, the goal of an Archivist was to record all of the important events within the Mystic Plane, making sure that they wouldnʼt be forgotten even after a long passage of time.

For a position like that, a title like [Mystic-attuned Mind] felt more fitting… even if all he had going for it at the moment was the name it had.

”When I assumed the position of Saintess, aside from getting the title that had my position and my contribution on them, I gained a title called [Mystic Erudition],” said Mystia, her words a response of sorts to Valyrʼs rhetorical question.

”I got a title called [Mystic Physique] after becoming the planeʼs Guardian,” replied Valyr, not hesitating to share the title he gained after watching the former take initiative.

”In any case, the fact that you got 500 points of Mystic Energy just from accepting your new position is kind of making me jealous,” continued the young man after that, looking at Ataraxia with playful envy. ”Back then, I only got 300 points of Mystic Energy.”

”Speak for yourselves.” Hearing the amount of Mystic Energy they gained from their positions, Mystia became a bit sullen. ”I only got a hundred points of Mystic Energy when I became the Saintess.”

”…”

After remaining silent in response to her words for a bit, both Valyr and Ataraxia showed no hesitation in making amends as they shifted the topic of their conversation to something else.

At the same time, Valyr sent his other self a message through their connection.

ʼHave you checked what each of the titles do yet?ʼ

ʼNot yet.ʼ Ataraxia faintly shook his head. ʼIʼm just about to do that, actually.ʼ

ʼShould I share them with you?ʼ

ʼIf youʼre fine with it,ʼ said Valyr in response, even though his expression said otherwise.

Oblivious to the contrast between the expression and the response his other self gave him, Ataraxia went ahead and shared his sight with Valyr through [Soul Entanglement].

Ding!

Opening up the description of the titles he just received from the system within his mind, it did not take long for the two of them to start going through each one.
