Whoosh!

Deciding to save the main class skills for last, Ataraxia went ahead and brought up the only skill he obtained from his subclass during the ascension.

[Arcane Art of Dexterous Inscription] (Lv. MAX)

Rarity: Mythic (Special)

For a spell scribe to be truly considered an elite among their peers, one must be able to inscribe spells onto parchment not only with great speed, but also with great accuracy.

Naturally, this ability is only achievable after an incessant amount of repetition, with the act of inscribing certain spells onto parchment eventually becoming second nature for those whoʼve gone through it long enough.

On a fateful day, the Supreme Scribe discovered that there exists a realm beyond the limits of speed and accuracy in the art of inscription, dedicating a good chunk of their life towards this endeavor.

Eventually, after spending over a century towards the goal of surpassing this pinnacle, the Supreme Scribe was able to break through, entering a realm that partly became the reason for the Supreme Scribeʼs title.

This was because, although the Supreme Scribe had inscribed lines that did not look anything like spells, the spells within the parchment could still be activated nevertheless.

With that, the realm beyond the pinnacle of speed and accuracy, the realm of simplified inscription, was born.

As the Scribe of the Great Arcane, you have access to the experiences that allowed the Supreme Scribe to arrive at this realm, giving you the opportunity to return spell parchments back to its former glory in the current day.

This skill allows the user to improve not only the speed at which they inscribe spells onto parchment, but also the accuracy of the spells they inscribe onto parchment.

Once a certain threshold is reached, the user shall obtain the ability to simplify spells into more and more basic spells, achieving the realm of simplified inscription the Supreme Scribe had attained in the past.

Number of Parchments Inscribed: 0

Current Realm: None

Progress to Next Realm: Beginner (0%)

Effects:

> 0% boost to inscription speed

> 0% boost to inscription accuracy

> ??? (unlocked after reaching the Adept realm)

> ??? (unlocked after reaching the Simplified Inscription realm)

ʼHmm…ʼ

Reading through the skill description he brought up, a look of contemplation appeared on Ataraxiaʼs face as the gears in his mind began to turn.

Fortunately, after going through the description a couple more times, the young man understood why heʼd gotten such a skill from the ascension.

ʼInscribing spells is ultimately time-consuming,ʼ muttered the young man to himself, recalling the few times he had inscribed spells in the past.

ʼThough itʼs not as time-consuming as forging, thatʼs only because the spells Iʼve inscribed onto parchments thus far have not reached that high of a level yet.ʼ

ʼOnce they do, thatʼs the time where the skills like the one Iʼve gotten shine the most,ʼ thought Ataraxia, briefly imagining himself inscribing spells onto parchment in a matter of seconds.

Of course, with how he had neglected the subclass after evolving it to Epic grade, the young man knew that he still had a long way to go to reach such a level of craftsmanship.

Though, it did make him think.

What would happen if both [Realms of the Great Scribe] and [Arcane Art of Dexterous Inscription] reached their limits?

…Would he be able to mass produce spell parchments that contain spells equivalent to nuclear bombs?

ʼ…No point thinking about that for the foreseeable future.ʼ

Shaking off the unnecessary thoughts that lingered in his head, the young man went ahead and brought up the description of the next skill he obtained from the ascension.

[Arcane Axiom: Path of Annihilation] (Lv. MAX)

Rarity: Mythic (Special)

To be considered a true Emissary of the Arcane, it is said that one must first fulfill three certain conditions.

The first one is to have great comprehension of the Arcane language, considering that the language itself is what makes up the spells that one casts.

The second one is to master the basic tenets of the Arcane concept, allowing one to have a greater understanding of the conceptʼs limits and power.

The last one is to comprehend a concept related to the Arcane concept itself, allowing one to tap into the nigh-infinite power of the Arcane concept and transform it into oneʼs own.

Once these three conditions are fulfilled, not only is one considered a true Emissary of the Arcane, the infinite paths related to the concept itself are also revealed.

Among these infinite paths is the Path of Annihilation, a path that pursues the limits of destruction through the Arcane concept.

Though none of the Emissaries nor the True Apostles of the past have seen the end of this path, it is said that once one is able to touch upon destructionʼs essence and combine it with the Arcane concept…

One can become the embodiment of destruction themselves.

This skill allows the user to gain access to the Path of Annihilation, giving the user the ability to cast spells that not only deal destructive amounts of damage, but also increase the amount of damage dealt by the pathʼs subsequent spells.

[1st Omen: Famine - Allows the user to conjure a field that covers a 100 meter radius around them. While this field is active, all beings except the user take 200% of the userʼs Attack stat as damage every second. All beings except the user also have their maximum MP reduced by 1% every 5 seconds, reaching a maximum reduction of 30%.

Once this spell is activated, the damage of the next spell is increased by 25%. Cost: 100,000 MP (initial cast) | 10,000 MP per second (upkeep). Duration: 3 minutes. Cooldown: 30 minutes.]

[2nd Omen: Pestilence - Allows the user to deal 400% of the userʼs Attack stat as damage to all beings within a 200 meter radius around the user. Reduces the maximum HP and MP of all beings hit by the skill by 20%. Has a high chance to inflict random negative effects on all beings hit by the skill.

Once this spell is activated, the damage of the next spell is increased by 25%. Cost: 200,000 MP. Cooldown: 1 hour.]

[3rd Omen: War - Allows the user to summon a small platoon of Arcane Cavalry that could be commanded. Each member of the Arcane Cavalry inherits 75% of the userʼs current stats. Each member inflicts a War Mark on hit and deals 300% of the userʼs Attack stat as damage.

Once this spell is activated, the damage of the next spell is increased by 25%. Cost: 250,000 MP (initial cost) | 25,000 MP per second (upkeep). Duration: 3 minutes. Cooldown: 3 hours.]

[4th Omen: Death - Allows the user to deal 600% of the userʼs Attack stat as damage to all beings within a 500 meter radius around the user. Increases to 750% of the userʼs Attack stat if the being has a War Mark. Has a moderate chance to inflict Deathʼs Judgment on all beings hit by the skill.

Once this spell is activated, the damage of the next spell is increased by 30%. Cost: 500,000 MP. Cooldown: 12 hours.]

[5th Omen: Apocalypse - ??? (requires a Force-level concept related to the Arcane concept to activate)]

ʼ…Damn.ʼ

By the time he was done going through the first skill related to his main class, Ataraxia could not help but suck in a cold breath of air.

After all, if he were to ignore the fact that all of the spells attached to the skill had a long cooldown, each one was an insanely powerful spell that affected an incredibly large radius.

In fact, with how much area the spells attached to the skill covered, the young man had a feeling heʼd be able to turn the tides of the ongoing war on his own.

Especially with something like the fourth spell under his belt.
