MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1726 1726: Skills of a Rank 5 (5)

As he read through the description of [Blessing of the First Blacksmith], a slight frown soon appeared on Valyrʼs face as a thought came to mind.

ʼSurely not… right?ʼ

Wanting to confirm his suspicions, the young man showed no hesitation in going through the skill a couple more times, reading between the lines of each and every word to make sure he did not understand the skill wrongly.

Thankfully, he did not.

ʼAs suspected,ʼ muttered the young man to himself, faintly smiling in excitement as he looked at the skill from a whole new perspective.

ʼItʼs a special attribute awakening skill.ʼ

Being one of the most important sources of oneʼs stats, it went without saying that the extent of how far one had awakened an equipmentʼs attributes made an impact on oneʼs path to the pinnacle.

Naturally, that was the reason why both famous and renowned blacksmiths were highly sought after, seeing as the chances of them awakening more attributes from pieces of equipment were significantly higher than the majority.

However, aside from blacksmiths that were known to awaken a lot of attributes within equipment, there existed another group of blacksmiths highly sought after, with both NPCs and players scouring the ends of the earth just to find one.

Those blacksmiths… were none other than those with special attribute awakening skills.

Of course, with the myriad number of paths there were available for a blacksmith to trek, it was no surprise that the number of special attribute awakening skills that existed throughout the universe also reached that much.

From what Valyr could remember, there were a few blacksmiths known by players that allowed equipment to awaken a second time with their special attribute awakening skills.

Then, there were those that awakened hidden stats within equipment, giving both NPCs and players a greater edge in areas related to the hidden stats they awakened.

There were also those that allowed one to gain extra skills out of their equipment, transforming what was originally slightly uncommon equipment into equipment that could rival those considered to be at the masterwork level.

Recalling the various special attribute awakening skills he had come across in the past, the young manʼs belief that he had obtained a special attribute awakening skill from the ascension solidified even further.

Though, if he ever doubted that the skill he got was a special attribute awakening skill…

The effects he could potentially get from using it was more than enough to dispel such thoughts.

Ding!

Although a great portion of the effects he would get when he activated the skill was up to chance, Valyr was still more than satisfied with what the skill offered.

After all, in a way, the special attribute awakening skill his class gave him was a combination of the other skills he had just gone over in his head.

ʼThe fact that the skill increases the most important stat of the equipment already sets it apart from all of the other special attribute awakening skills,ʼ muttered Valyr to himself, his gaze sweeping through the skillʼs numerous effects.

ʼOn top of that, the skill also guarantees that I form a bond with the equipment I use the skill on.ʼ

As those words popped up in his mind, the young man felt a slight smile tugging on the edge of his lips as he thought about how his capabilities would greatly improve with the help of the skill.

After all, a Level 1 bond alone already increased an equipmentʼs stats by 10%.

If all of his equipment were to have that kind of bond with him, though the overall improvement to his capabilities was only 10% on the surface, the actual improvement he would obtain from them would vastly exceed that.

ʼ…Alright.ʼ

Getting the urge to test the skill out on equipment the more he looked at the skillʼs effects, Valyr went ahead and closed the screen containing the skill, only to then forcefully take in a deep breath to compose himself.

Spending a bit of time to dispel the unnecessary thoughts in his head after that, the young man soon let out a soft exhale.

ʼ…No rush,ʼ thought Valyr to himself. ʼSince the effects of the skill correlate to how strong my concepts are, the best time for me to use the skill is after I push [Intent of the Master Forger] to the Force level.ʼ

With those thoughts lingering in his mind, the young man gradually returned to his previous state of calm, allowing him to bring up the description of the final skill he obtained from the ascension.

Though, once he took a look at what the skill was capable of, he could not help but ask a question out loud.

”…”

”…Why, though?”
