High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 251: Chapter 175 Sacred Will_1

Many students at Jiuyou Academy may not know who the director of the school working committee is, may not know who is the rotating chair of the professor joint meeting for this semester, and may not know the name of the professor who teaches ’Functional Analysis of Dimensional Jump’.

But they definitely know Lei Zhe.

Just as all students of Alpha Academy know Augustus.

Lei Zhe is the student council president of Jiuyou Academy.

Of course, beneath this name, there are many descriptive attributes.

For example, Jiuyou Academy’s best student, the four-time top student, the leader of ’Holy Will’, one of the largest student groups in the university, the hunting team leader of the university, and the king of the Small Arcana-Scepter series.

At this moment, this His Excellency of the Scepter of Jiuyou Academy is neither participating in the school’s search for the mysterious magical creature by the Lakeside of Bell Lake, nor is he supervising the uneasy lower grade students in practicing anti-curse magic in the main hall.

As usual, he is sitting in a large office, quietly listening to the work report from the executives of the Holy Will.

”...Sir Friedman from Alpha Academy hopes to cooperate with us at the school hunting party next month,”

A wax-yellow male wizard is flipping through his memo, speaking at a fast pace, but his articulation is clear:

”The Judgement Hunting Team and 3A Hunting Team can reach some sort of understanding in eliminating other candidate teams as soon as the hunting contest begins; if the two teams encounter each other during the elimination phase, he hopes that both sides can show restraint... The bottom line of this agreement is that the Auspicious Hunting Team gets eliminated.

Due to the successful advancement of the Fishman reservation project, Sepulano’s position in the Blood Comrades is increasingly stable, and news has it that he has even received praise from many external comrades.

This is not good news for Sir Friedman.

He is under a lot of pressure right now.

The Right Honorable Augustus should have knowledge of this matter, and so before he shows a clear inclination, Sir Friedman hopes to gain more bargaining chips.

Such as satisfying points or rankings in the school hunting party.”

Lei Zhe rests his arms on the table, his hands are clasped together, supporting his chin, listening patiently to Hoffman’s report.

Hoffman is the wax-yellow male wizard, and he is a very capable young man in the Holy Will.

But just capable.

He still has a ways to go before he can undertake the burden of an academy or befit Lei Zhe’s title.

Therefore, he very much understands Augustus’s silence lately.

Whether it’s Friedman or Sepulano, both are very capable young men. It can even be said that either of these two individuals is more than qualified to inherit the title of Augustus.

But it’s precisely because of this that the situation is extremely tricky.

Because no matter who comes to power, if they cannot convince their opponent, then Alpha Academy will face a fierce internal struggle. This is something Augustus cannot accept.

Just like now.

Though the situation hasn’t yet reached that severity, Friedman, who is the vice-president of the Alpha Academy student council, has already begun to deal underhandedly with Jiuyou Academy.

If this matter was leaked, most students’ attention would surely shift from the mysterious demon by the Lakeside of Bell Lake to the melodramatic internal struggles between the two colleges.

”I have already let Heinz reply to Friedman about this matter,” Lei Zhe finally spoke after a moment of silence.

His voice was deep, but very magnetic, resonating in the spacious meeting room: ”We will not tarnish the sacredness of the hunting party... This is the principle, and it does not need discussion.”

All the young wizards in the meeting room immediately showed a proud look on their faces.

Yes, what could be more satisfying to subordinates than a principled and honourable leader?

Lei Zhe looked at the companions in front of him without any expression, and sighed quietly in his heart.

He’s already in his fourth year now. If he does not plan to pursue a higher degree in the university, then this year will be his last year as Lei Zhe.

Just like Augustus, he also faced the same plight.

In the Holy Will, there are two other outstanding individuals like Hoffman. The busybodies of Jiuyou Academy have even referred to these three young people as the ’Three Heroes’, as a counterweight to the ’Gemini’ of Alpha Academy.

If he was now secretly influencing the Blood Comrades competition, then Augustus would certainly take actions against the Sacred Will.

This was a tacit understanding.

The tacit understanding between Lei Zhe and Augustus.

As for Friedman?

If he wanted a tacit understanding, then he first needs to become Augustus.

...

At the same time as the internal meeting of the Sacred Will of Jiuyou Academy.

Sir Friedman walked with steadiness in a deep corridor of Alpha Castle.

Unlike the now tense Jiuyou Academy, no suspicious situations had been discovered in Alpha Castle for the time being. Hence, they had enough confidence to stay calmly in the castle, laughing at the bookworms’ misfortune.

Compared to the title of the third-year Alpha’s top student, the mature Friedman Black Karen preferred to be addressed as ’The Duke’.

He also insisted on measuring all of his actions by the standard of a perfect noble.

His left arm held a thick black book, fastened tightly with a golden buckle. At his side, Sima Yi, who had once advised Arthur Ness, was smiling and having a conversation with him.

”So Lei Zhe still insists on his ridiculous reason and gives up on cooperating with us at the school hunting party?” Mr. Duke stopped his steps, standing by a large window, frowning.

”According to the message conveyed by Manstein, your understanding should be correct.” Sima Yi stood composedly by his side, not at all retreating due to the presence of an outstanding figure next to him.

”The ’Sacred Will’ has already turned into ’The Lei Zhe’s Will’,” sighed Friedman, visibly irritated, ”Well, if that’s the case, let’s go with the second plan.”

”The Commander is already prepared. However, he refuses to cooperate with Kitano Gen.”

”Oh?”

”As you know, The Commander and I come from the same land... we both hate those dwarves on the island.” Sima Yi looked calmly at Friedman’s deep blue eyes, his tone very firm, ”Although he is allowed to coexist in our group, that doesn’t mean he has won our recognition.”

”So, do you have any suggestions?” The suggestion didn’t seem to surprise Friedman, who immediately decided.

”How about Dunnigan?”

”Dunnigan?” Friedman seemed not to remember this person.

A few lower-grade girls, blushing, ran in front of them, quickly stuffed a pink letter into his hand. He, on the other hand, greeted them gently. A tall girl with blue hair seemed more interested in Sima Yi, sneaking glances at him.

”Nicholas Dunnigan, a sophomore student of Atlas Academy’s Maya 07-1 class, is a plant-based Druid.” Sima Yi smiled gently at the girl, explaining, ”According to Cody’s speculation, this year’s venue will be held in a place with more green plants, so Dunnigan’s addition would bring more advantages.”

The blue-haired girl shyly ran away with her friends who had finished delivering the love letters.

”Hmm.” Friedman touched his chin, not expressing agreement or disagreement, ”I’ll consider it... Well, is there anything else?”

”The alien students from the four academies seem to have some restless intentions. All other clubs have sent inquiry letters,” Sima Yi took out a small yellow notebook from his pocket, saying, ”According to our suggestion, should we give those guys a warning?”

”Warning?” Friedman moved the book from his left arm to his right, and lifted his left arm to catch a resting flower elf, showing a charming smile that drove young girls crazy, ”Why warn them? No, no, no. I am quite interested in their actions, let’s observe them for now.”

”Fine, we will convey your opinion.” Sima Yi closed his little notebook, ”If there’s nothing else then allow me to wish you good day.”

”And you as well.” Friedman flicked his fingers, sending the flower elf back to the garden downstairs, and turned to sigh, ”I can’t believe an excellent adviser like you has been willingly staying at the first University for so long.”

”Personally, I prefer a quiet environment,” Sima Yi replied with a slight smile.

”Well then, I owe a sincere debt of gratitude to His Excellency Arthur Ness. If it hadn’t been for his recommendation, I expect my advisory panel would still be in chaos.”

”No, you need to thank His Excellency Arthur’s mistakes, not the man himself.”

”Speaking of mistakes, I hope that the surprise for our little friend is ready.”

”As you wish,” Sima Yi replied, his face calm as he turned to leave, ”A wild demon of considerable importance, but also sufficiently safe. The corresponding follow-up public opinion preparations have also been completed. Your reputation will not suffer any damage.”

Friedman’s face settled into a deep frown.
