Elderly Prince: My Spirit Increases by 1 Point Daily

Chapter 227: Chapter 226: Life-Saving Treasure Boots

Seeing the roster, Xia Wuyang’s jaw dropped. The Grand Elder of Xuan Nu Palace certainly lived up to her reputation; she knew an incredible amount.

If any of this were to get out, Xuan Nu Palace would be on the brink of annihilation.

As he carefully flipped through the pages, a chill ran through Xia Wuyang. This Xuan Nu Palace was no Renowned and Righteous Sect; it was clearly a well-trained organization of bandits and spies, the type to devour a person without spitting out the bones.

He then questioned the other six elders, from whom he also obtained a wealth of useful intelligence. It was all perfect for getting revenge on Xuan Nu Palace.

Xuan Nu Palace thought that by relying on these seven useless fools, they could capture Yun Liyue and the person backing her. They hoped to force the person who started the trouble to be the one to end it, thereby resolving their crisis.

Little did they know that what Xuan Nu Palace considered a formidable lineup was, in Xia Wuyang’s eyes, no different from a group of useless fools.

If he weren’t so busy with his Cultivation, he would have charged into Xuan Nu Palace single-handedly long ago and plundered it completely.

He had originally planned to just let them self-destruct, but he hadn’t expected Xuan Nu Palace to be so obstinate. Even in their current state, they still tried to bully Yun Liyue and even plotted to capture him alive.

They were truly tired of living. He had no choice. Xia Wuyang could only help them on their way and send them off a little earlier.

It was a perfect case of: Heaven has a path, but you refuse to walk it; Hell has no gate, yet you charge right in.

Having learned what he wanted to know, Xia Wuyang glanced at the seven elders. Although most of them were old, they were still quite beautiful, clearly skilled in preserving their youth.

’A few of them could even be considered peerless beauties. If I sold them as a package deal to a brothel boat, they’d definitely fetch a high price,’ he mused.

”Hand over the treasures on your person,” Xia Wuyang said coolly. ”Also, go and retrieve all the resources and treasures you have hidden in White Jade City.”

The seven Xuan Nu Palace elders numbly complied. One by one, they obediently placed their treasures before him.

Gentle Wind Boots!

A Low Level Spiritual Artifact, and precisely the kind of boot-type Spiritual Artifact Xia Wuyang needed. It could increase his speed several times over, far surpassing the boost from any Mortal Artifact.

The boots were entirely cyan, with patterns like flowing wind across their surface. When fully activated, they could increase his speed by about four times.

However, since he had not yet advanced to the True Monarch Realm, he could only boost his speed by a little over three times at most. Even so, this far surpassed any Top Level Mortal Artifact.

These Gentle Wind Boots had belonged to Grand Elder Xuan Ping and were one of Xuan Nu Palace’s ultimate treasures. Xia Wuyang naturally put them on at once. He felt as Light as a Feather, and they were extremely comfortable.

Combined with his Companion Talent, various Combat Techniques and Secret Techniques, and his formidable Cultivation... his speed would reach a level that would leave any Celestial Human in the dust.

The Jiaowei Zither!

A Low Level Spiritual Artifact. Its strings were refined from the Flood Dragon’s Sinew of a Demon Monarch-level beast. When played, it could throw a person’s Heart Spirit into disarray. This was a Sound Attack-type Spiritual Artifact, and it had also belonged to Grand Elder Xuan Ping. She was skilled in a Sound Attack Combat Technique, making her a perfect match for the Jiaowei Zither.

There were dozens of Spirit Talismans. Most belonged to Grand Elder Xuan Ping, with a small number from the other elders. They included a variety of Talisman Records for Attack, Defense, and support. As a Renowned Sect with a heritage spanning over a thousand years, it was only natural for them to possess such ultimate treasures.

There were also dozens of bottles of High Level or better Mortal Elixir and Medicine, and even a few Spirit Elixirs and Medicines. Most were for healing and would be quite useful to Xia Wuyang.

There was also a Soul Nourishing Pearl, which could nurture the Soul and enhance Spiritual Power. Unfortunately, it was only a Top Level Mortal Artifact. Xia Wuyang’s Spiritual Power was already Extraordinary, so he had no use for it.

...

The resources and treasures from these seven people alone were worth a fortune. This was especially true for Grand Elder Xuan Ping, who had essentially brought all of her ultimate treasures with her.

If she hadn’t lacked a Storage Spiritual Artifact, she probably wouldn’t have left a single treasure behind.

After plundering everything from the seven of them, Xia Wuyang looked at their blank faces. ”Next, in addition to bringing me all the treasures you’ve hidden around here, there are three things I need you to do.”

”My lord, please speak,” the seven replied, listening as obediently as children being lectured by their grandfather.

Xia Wuyang’s voice was grim. ”First, make over ten thousand copies of the Secret Manual and distribute them throughout the land. Let everyone know what happened, and sincerely repent for your actions.”

”Second, in the name of all seven of you, expose all of Xuan Nu Palace’s crimes. Announce your remorse and your decision to eradicate Xuan Nu Palace as proof of your resolve.”

”Third, you will sincerely apologize to the master and disciple, Yun Liyue and Elder Qing Yin. This must be a public apology, announcing all the despicable things you did to them for the whole world to hear...”

The seven respectfully accepted their orders. Xia Wuyang seized the opportunity to implant a Nether Enchanting Heart Needle into each of them. In one month, the needles would activate. At that point, all seven would have their Cultivation crippled, and they would live a life worse than death.

As for whether they could survive, that would depend on their luck. Considering all the evil they had done, they deserved a proper punishment. He couldn’t possibly let them off easily.

In one month, the effect of the Soul Enchantment Technique would also fade. When they finally came to their senses, they would realize everything they had done. ’That should be quite a sensation,’ he thought.

The eastern sky was already turning the pale white of dawn. Xia Wuyang stood beneath the ruined eaves of the Daoist temple, watching the seven figures vanish into the morning mist as a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

’Since Xuan Nu Palace is so tired of living,’ he thought, ’I might as well send them on their way.’

「A few days later.」

A piece of news that would shake the world began to spread.

Grand Elder Xuan Ping of Xuan Nu Palace, along with six other elders, had collectively defected from the sect. They also published a list of the sect’s sins that was hundreds of pages long. This document detailed all of Xuan Nu Palace’s crimes over the past several hundred years, and the offenses from the last century in particular were utterly shocking.

The most damning revelation was the list of female spies Xuan Nu Palace had trained and dispatched over the years. Many of their identities had never been revealed before, known only to Grand Elder Xuan Ping. Now, all of them were exposed.

Furthermore, more evidence was provided about the many high-ranking members of Xuan Nu Palace who kept male concubines, making the accusations undeniable.

There were other crimes as well: swindling and plundering, murder and arson... Each and every one was more horrifying than the last.

When the news broke, the world was in an uproar. Even though everyone knew Xuan Nu Palace was up to no good, no one had imagined they could be so utterly without morals.

The families and powers with members who had married Xuan Nu Palace disciples immediately imprisoned and interrogated them, especially those whose names appeared on the roster. The factions that had been swindled and plundered by Xuan Nu Palace began to join forces in retaliation. Even Emperor Xia could no longer stand it; he branded Xuan Nu Palace an evil cult and dispatched troops to besiege and destroy it...
