Elderly Prince: My Spirit Increases by 1 Point Daily

Chapter 201: Chapter 200: Peace Festival Breakthrough

While Song Yuyan’s eyes brimmed with tears, Xia Wuyang was already off somewhere, lost in the arms of several peerless beauties.

Song Yuyan could no longer bear to watch Xia Wuyang being ravaged by these beauties. After one last, deep look into the hall, her figure vanished like smoke among the eaves.

The snow fell harder and harder, gradually covering all traces. No one knew that on this Night of Cleansing, a woman had stood in the wind and snow, heartbroken over her beloved.

And her beloved was currently being ravaged by a group of Qiuci Dancers, Jiangnan Beauties, Shou Liji, and Demon Fox Girls...

Outside, the wind howled ever more fiercely and the snow fell ever more heavily, but the festive atmosphere within the hall only grew more intense.

Gradually, Xia Wuyang found himself becoming lost in the moment. Faced with so many peerless beauties, even he, a man of astonishing self-control, was beginning to find it hard to resist.

He was a man, after all; how could he not be fond of women? If there was an element of performance at first, after tasting such pleasure, Xia Wuyang could no longer hold back.

’Since it’s the Night of Cleansing, I might as well let loose and enjoy myself.’

’When fortune smiles, you must enjoy it to the fullest. Don’t let your golden cup sit empty under the moon. Come on, come on! I love it!’

After a night of revelry, he’d lost count of the rounds. By the time Xia Wuyang felt something was wrong, he’d already made nearly all of the hundred stunning beauties sent over last night his women.

Xia Wuyang realized this was too exaggerated. Even with the aid of various rare supplements, his performance had been a bit excessive.

’If I don’t do something, I’ll definitely arouse suspicion.’

And so, as dawn approached, Andrew’s shriek shattered the morning quiet, jolting everyone in the Eastern Palace awake.

”Quick, summon the Imperial Physicians! The Crown Prince has fainted!”

Xia Wuyang was found deathly pale on the carpet of the Sleeping Palace, with Luminous Cups from last night’s feast scattered about, surrounded by peerless beauties in disarray.

The air was thick with the stench of alcohol and the scent of perfume; anyone who saw the scene would assume it was the result of excessive debauchery.

An Imperial Physician arrived in short order. After taking the Crown Prince’s pulse, his expression grew solemn. ”His Highness has suffered excessive loss of Essence Qi. Compounded by heavy drinking, it has damaged his body. Fortunately, he consumed many precious tonics, so his foundation has not been harmed. It’s a blessing in disguise. However, he must rest and recuperate for some time. He absolutely cannot continue behaving so wantonly.”

The surrounding Palace Attendants all agreed. Many looked remorseful, thinking to themselves, ’We really did go too far last night.’

’We can’t do this again. If the elder Crown Prince were to die on top of one of us, it would be all over.’

Meanwhile, the various Princes, Princesses, and concubines were beginning their preparations for the Grand New Year’s Banquet at Noon.

After the Night of Cleansing comes the Peace Festival. During the festival, Emperor Xia hosts the Grand New Year’s Banquet for all members of the Royal Family and certain ministers of the Imperial Court. For the Great Xia Dynasty, it is the most important feast of the Peace Festival.

The Peace Festival was analogous to the Spring Festival from his past life, while the Night of Cleansing was like New Year’s Eve.

In Xia Wuyang’s current condition, he would certainly be unable to attend the Grand New Year’s Banquet.

When the news reached Yangxin Hall, Emperor Xia couldn’t stop himself from smashing the Jade Pendant in his hand on the floor. ”That useless trash! Collapsing in a pile of women during the Peace Festival! What a complete disgrace!”

When the other Princes and Princesses heard the news, they sneered endlessly.

”I heard they were singing and dancing all night in Wenhua Hall. The elder Crown Prince completely lost control and partied himself into collapse again.”

”Serves him right. Even with all those precious tonics, he should have shown some restraint.”

”A pity his foundation wasn’t damaged. If it had been, maybe that old bastard would have died in a few days.”

...

Yun Liyue, Yan Jiuge, and the others, however, were starting to feel regret. They had sent the beauties and tonics so Xia Wuyang could enjoy his last Night of Cleansing to the fullest, but their plan had unexpectedly backfired.

Fortunately, his foundation wasn’t damaged. Otherwise, they would have been the ones to blame.

As for the Grand New Year’s Banquet, it was actually better that he didn’t go. Attending would only lead to him being mocked and scolded by those people. He was better off lying in Wenhua Hall, enjoying himself.

The Imperial Physicians bustled about all morning, administering various medicines and applying Needle Techniques until Xia Wuyang finally woke up. He was then quickly sent to the Practice Room to recuperate in seclusion.

This was to prevent the elder Crown Prince from immediately giving in to his impulses the moment he felt better. It was safer for him to be in a Quiet Chamber.

They had intended to send a eunuch in to attend to him, but Xia Wuyang insisted on having Su Ling’Er and Hanik’s Heart serve him instead. Everyone protested, so in the end, he went in alone.

As the stone door slowly closed and was bolted from the inside, his once-vacant eyes suddenly sharpened with clarity.

With his Cultivation and Power, how could last night’s events have possibly caused him any harm? It was all just another performance.

Unfortunately, he had taken the performance a bit too far, getting somewhat lost in the moment himself.

Besides, the quality of the beauties last night had been too high. Each one was a devastatingly gorgeous, charming creature, making it truly impossible to stop.

Xia Wuyang had been repressed for a long time and had just seized the opportunity to properly unwind. He had just gotten a little carried away.

He was afraid he had worried Yun Liyue, Yan Jiuge, and the others again, and he felt a little ashamed.

’It would be one thing to act so recklessly on my own, but Yun Liyue and Yan Jiuge had specially sent those stunning women to me. And this is the mess I made of it. Dammit.’

’In the future, once I no longer need this disguise, I will have to make it up to them properly.’

The Peace Festival was the perfect opportunity to take care of something.

It was time to consume the nine-hundred-year-old blood ginseng and break through to the Super Grade Late Stage.

After so many days of consolidation and adaptation, his Foundation was already incredibly stable. Now that he had obtained a nine-hundred-year-old blood ginseng, he was certain he could use this Top Level Mortal Treasure to break through another minor realm.

He originally thought his next advancement would be a slow process, but he hadn’t expected such a windfall from the Secret Vault in the back mountains of Xuan Nu Palace. He should, of course, consume it as soon as possible to avoid any unforeseen problems.

”It’s time!”

After adjusting his Essence, Qi, and Spirit, Xia Wuyang took out the nine-hundred-year-old blood ginseng. It pulsed with a crimson light in his palm, its fibrous roots twitching slightly as if alive.

He activated his Dragon Tiger Fist technique and his Extraordinary Spiritual Power, and began to absorb the medicinal energy from the nine-hundred-year-old blood ginseng.

As expected of a Top Level Mortal Treasure, the medicinal energy within was immense and pure, far surpassing any Miracle Treasure he had ever consumed.

His faintly glowing Dragon and Tiger Qi Blood began to grow and strengthen at a startling rate, far surpassing the speed of normal cultivation.

This feeling of rocketing progress was truly intoxicating, even more so than everything that had happened the night before.

By the time he had consumed more than half of the nine-hundred-year-old blood ginseng’s medicinal energy, he finally reached the bottleneck. If he could just break through it, he would step into a whole new realm.

Xia Wuyang briefly consolidated and adapted, adjusted his Essence, Qi, and Spirit, and then began to charge the bottleneck. Aided by the medicinal energy of the nine-hundred-year-old blood ginseng, this breakthrough would not be difficult.
