I Contracted All Ancient Divine Artifacts

Chapter 112: Chapter 11: Five Stars Abnormal Skeleton Warrior

The massive explosion was accompanied by metal fragments and bits of flesh scattering in all directions.

The capsule bomb, as a means of control used by the Can Shang Company over their slaves, possessed unimaginable power.

The Super Alloy Robots and Abnormal Skeleton Warriors responsible for the pursuit were completely obliterated.

Han Zhan grabbed the still-kneeling Wang Chunyu and rushed towards the second escape route.

The second escape route was a research capsule. Due to its research nature, it directly connected to an external water source, making it the chosen second escape route by Wang Chunyu.

By the time the two reached there, the reinforcements of Super Alloy Robots and Abnormal Skeleton Warriors had not yet arrived.

Seeing this scene, they relaxed slightly from their tense state.

”Get it together! Shang Xiaoyun sacrificed her life to give us this opportunity. Do you want her efforts to be in vain?”

”No, you don’t understand. You could never understand this feeling! Xiaoyun is dead! She’s dead!”

”I don’t understand? Do you think, when I told my teacher the way to his death with my own mouth, and then watched him walk step by step towards death, do you think I wouldn’t understand that feeling of helplessness? That feeling was like killing him with my own hands!”

Han Zhan’s words calmed Wang Chunyu down.

”Therefore, for those who are gone, those who remain should strive even harder to live!” Han Zhan finished speaking and without waiting for Wang Chunyu to answer, he pushed open the door to the research capsule ahead of him.

As they opened the door to enter, the scene before them made them stop abruptly.

A person was sitting inside the research capsule with eyes closed, meditating.

Upon hearing the door open, he suddenly opened his eyes.

...

”Threat level escalating, current threat level, Level Two! Security team and Abnormal Skeleton Warrior casualties have occurred, additional personnel authorized.”

”The threat assessment of the adversary: Currently unassessable, only determining the dangerous target still possesses an NA29 capsule bomb, with enormous explosive lethality. A Five Stars Abnormal Skeleton Warrior is recommended for suppression!”

Celestial Net AI issued the latest directive.

The Five Stars Abnormal Skeleton Warrior, with strength comparable to Great Xia’s Tier Five Spirit Contract Master, as the threat level increased, more and more attention turned towards the Mechanical Research Institute.

This night was destined to be anything but peaceful.

In the sky, a particularly unconventional aircraft streaked across, with a crimson tail flame making it look like a rapidly descending red comet.

When the dust settled, a figure slowly emerged from the red comet.

The Five Stars Abnormal Skeleton Warrior, who was also the security chief of this area, Shang Lin.

Upon seeing him, the other Abnormal Skeleton Warriors in charge of surrounding the Mechanical Research Institute cleared a path.

Shang Lin had just received a new Abnormal Skeleton transformation plan today, feeling a new surge of power within his body.

The transformation wasn’t free - to continue the process, he needed to constantly earn merits and rewards to pay for it.

Hearing there was a mission, he had rushed over at top speed.

”No need to explain the situation, the AI has already informed us. Now, tell me where they are.”

”According to our assessment, there should still be one fugitive remaining, with one capsule bomb yet to detonate. Due to the explosion, some area monitoring has been destroyed. Based on the last monitored location, they entered the research capsule in Zone B.”

”Immediately head to Zone B with me! No, wait, directly use the Star Body Traversal function!”

Shang Lin waved his hand.

Pressing a button on his arm, in the next second he transformed into a cluster of starlight, swiftly merging into the Mechanical Research Institute.

The Star Body Traversal function places a huge burden on the body and is typically avoided.

With Shang Lin’s instruction, the other Abnormal Skeleton Warriors steeled themselves to employ this special transformation ability involving Star Body Traversal.

Multiple streaks of starlight simultaneously converged at high speed in front of the research capsule door in Zone B.

Shang Lin coldly inspected the scene. His iris scan confirmed signs left on the door.

Moreover, through his iris scan, he also saw a figure standing inside the research capsule.

”Break the door!” At his command, his subordinates charged forward, crashing the door open.

Inside, a person appeared in the guise of lab personnel in a white coat.

”Assistant Liu? Why are you here?”

”What a joke, this is the research capsule, if I’m not here, then am I supposed to be in your Can Shang Company’s cage?”

”Hmph, it seems the Fifth War Zone’s people aren’t as tough as imagined.”

”Are you here to argue with me?”

Shang Lin, without any further conversation, looked around the room.

The person in front of him, Assistant Liu, was a captive from Great Xia. Due to his skill in healing as a masterful Spirit Contract Master, Can Shang Company specifically retained him as an assistant for research support.

Shang Lin didn’t wholly believe his words.

He was certain there were others hidden in the room.

His certainty came from the fact that the time between detecting someone entering the room and his team’s arrival was under two minutes.

In that short time, the other person could not have escaped or moved.

”Assistant Liu, are you sure you want to help him?”

”Don’t forget, the other Spirit Contract Masters from your Fifth War Zone are still in prison.”

At Shang Lin’s threat, Assistant Liu subtly glanced to his right while his left hand slowly lifted, gesturing towards a pile of boxes on the right.

Though his tone remained haughty, he said, ”What are you talking about? I’m alone here; please leave!”

Noting Assistant Liu’s cooperation, Shang Lin nodded slightly.

He signaled with his eyes, causing everyone’s gun barrels to aim at the box pile on the right.

At that moment, someone suddenly lifted the camouflaged covering from the boxes and charged towards them.

The next second, a strong flash blinded everyone temporarily, rendering them momentarily unable to see.

Taking advantage of this gap, the opponent had broken through the encirclement and was running toward another direction.

”Target has escaped. Thank you for your cooperation, Assistant Liu.” Shang Lin calmly remarked before turning to pursue the escaping target.

To him, this was merely a cat-and-mouse game.

The only real threat was the capsule bomb.

Wait, the capsule bomb?

Suddenly, Shang Lin seemed to realize something and looked sharply down.

Somehow, underfoot, the ground was scattered with numerous small particles, unmistakably components of a capsule bomb!

When did this happen! How did the opposite party manage to extract the capsule bomb?!

BOOM!

A thunderous explosion erupted.

Shang Lin and Assistant Liu were blasted away by the shockwave, with others being outright pulverized.

”Damn it!” Amidst the roaring flames, Shang Lin saved Assistant Liu from impending immolation, tossing him aside, then fiercely gazed in the direction the ”mouse” had fled.

Having been continuously toyed with, Shang Lin was utterly furious.

By this time, Shang Lin’s clothes had been completely incinerated, exposing his body, eighty percent of which was composed of bare skeletal structure, all made from special metals.

Stomping down forcefully, he launched himself like a projectile in the direction he locked onto with his gaze.
