The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Expelled from the Lin Family

Wu Fei gave Cheng Yuan a deep look. He knew that from this day forward, Cheng Yuan was destined for greatness! ’I have to build a good relationship with him!’

”Mr. Cheng, this is the City Lord’s personal cell phone. In all of Luocheng, fewer than twenty people have his personal number, and half of them are his family.”

”Got it.”

Cheng Yuan took the business card, gave it a simple glance, and put it in his pocket.

Wu Fei smiled. ”Mr. Cheng, could we exchange numbers? The City Lord is very busy. For any minor matters, you can just contact me directly!”

”Sure.”

Cheng Yuan and Wu Fei exchanged phone numbers, and then Cheng Yuan said his goodbyes.

Shen Jiangnan was extremely enthusiastic, insisting on having his own driver take Cheng Yuan home.

Cheng Yuan couldn’t refuse and could only nod.

Half an hour later, Cheng Yuan returned to Emperor Nine, No. 13 Small Villa.

After walking in, Cheng Yuan froze. ’Didn’t I just send my father-in-law and mother-in-law back to the Provincial City yesterday? Why have they charged back over here?’

”Mom, Dad, why are you back? What happened?”

Lin Xinghe and Hua Yao turned to look at Cheng Yuan. Seeing his flashy outfit, they both frowned slightly.

Hua Yao scolded him mercilessly, ”Cheng Yuan, what are you wearing? You’re a married man, you need to be a bit more mature! How can we feel at ease entrusting Ruoxi to you when you’re like this?”

Cheng Yuan gave a wry smile. ’How could I forget I was still wearing this outfit? Now I’ve made a bad impression on my in-laws.’

Lin Ruoxi didn’t particularly like Cheng Yuan’s flashy outfit either, but she was protective of her own.

”Mom, Dad, Cheng Yuan is only a junior in college. It’s fine for him to dress a little unconventionally. There’s no need to get hung up on this. Let’s talk about what’s important. Why did you suddenly come back? What on earth happened?”

Lin Xinghe and Hua Yao exchanged a look, then sighed in unison.

Lin Xinghe’s tone was heavy. ”Since Cheng Yuan is back, I’ll be direct. The Old Master has already stripped me and Ruoxi of our positions and reclaimed the shares belonging to our family of four! Unless you two divorce immediately and Ruoxi returns to the Provincial City to marry Gu Chen. Otherwise, our family won’t get a single resource from the Lin Family ever again! Ruoxi, whether you divorce Cheng Yuan, whether you go back—it’s your choice.”

Although Lin Xinghe’s words sounded fair, he stared at Lin Ruoxi with hopeful eyes. As long as she nodded, he would take her back to the Provincial City without a moment’s hesitation.

Cheng Yuan’s expression changed slightly. ’Our relationship was just starting to warm up; how did we run into something like this?’

’Ruoxi won’t give in, will she?’

Cheng Yuan looked at Lin Ruoxi, a hint of worry on his face.

A bitter expression appeared on Lin Ruoxi’s face.

’Grandfather is too ruthless!’

’The thing I feared most has happened after all!’

’What am I supposed to do?!’

’I’ll be fine on my own. I’m a jewelry designer; I can find a job at a jewelry company. I can’t guarantee immense wealth, but I can at least live a comfortable life!’

’But my parents only hold nominal positions in the group, living off their dividends.’

’My younger brother is studying abroad in Europe, spending over a hundred thousand euros a year.’

’If they lose their dividends, where will we get the money for my brother’s tuition?’

Lin Ruoxi turned her head to look at Cheng Yuan. Although they had only known each other for a few short days, he had already come to occupy a certain place in her heart.

’To just give up on Cheng Yuan like this and go back to marry a pervert... I really can’t accept it!’

’But I truly have no other choice!’

Lin Ruoxi turned to look at Cheng Yuan. ”I’m sor—”

Cheng Yuan quickly made a hushing gesture, cutting her off. ”Ruoxi, you’re my wife. You don’t need to apologize to me! I only have one question for you: do you trust me?”

Lin Ruoxi nodded lightly. ”Personally, I do trust you. But I can’t be that selfish. My parents are used to a high-quality lifestyle, and my brother is studying in Europe. The three of them spend several million a year. Without the dividends from Huanyu Group, I’m afraid...”

Cheng Yuan smiled. ”Darling, have you forgotten something? I just gave you that bank card last night. There are twenty million in there, which is more than enough for my brother-in-law until he graduates.”

Lin Ruoxi was convinced. She turned and looked at her parents with a questioning gaze.

Lin Xinghe didn’t speak, but Hua Yao couldn’t hold back.

”Xiaocheng is indeed outstanding, but he can’t compare to the entire Huanyu Group. Ruofeng is the eldest grandson of the main family line; he was supposed to inherit Huanyu Group in the future. But now, Ruofeng has lost the chance to inherit it.”

The light in Lin Ruoxi’s eyes dimmed. ’That’s right, I’d forgotten about that. My brother is the eldest grandson of the main family line. If everything had gone smoothly, he was destined to inherit Huanyu Group.’

’But because of my willfulness, my brother will lose this opportunity. I can’t be so selfish.’

”Cheng Yuan, I...”

Cheng Yuan cut her off again, his voice filled with confidence. ”It’s just one Huanyu Group, isn’t it? If my brother-in-law loses one Huanyu Group because of me today, then in the future, I’ll give him ten, a hundred Huanyu Groups!”

Cheng Yuan’s tone was so confident that Lin Ruoxi’s blood boiled with excitement!

An incredibly wild thought popped into Lin Ruoxi’s head: ’Cheng Yuan can do it!’

Lin Ruoxi turned her head to look at Lin Xinghe and Hua Yao.

”Mom, Dad, please just trust us this one time, okay? In the near future, Cheng Yuan and I will build a corporate group no less impressive than Huanyu Group!”

If it weren’t for the stone-gambling incident, Lin Xinghe and Hua Yao would have definitely thought that Cheng Yuan and their daughter had gone crazy!

But now, they actually felt a little excited!

”Alright! We’ll trust you this one time! We’ve had enough of living under someone else’s roof for a long time now! Ruoxi, Xiaoyuan, even though we’ve just been coasting at the group, we still have quite a few connections. If you run into any trouble, don’t hesitate to tell us.”

”Mom, Dad, since the Lin Family won’t have us, you should just live here. I will definitely help you reclaim your former glory!”

Lin Xinghe wasn’t keen on living with his daughter and son-in-law—it was too inconvenient. But they had no other choice right now, so he could only nod.

”Mm, okay.”

Soon, Lin Ruoxi got the two of them settled in.

The two of them sat on the bed, silent for a long time. They couldn’t believe they had actually gone along with their daughter’s willfulness and chosen to bet on Cheng Yuan, this ”potential stock.”

Finally, Hua Yao broke the silence.

”Old Lin, our daughter and son-in-law are just starting their business. We can’t drag them down. Why don’t we find jobs? We still have a few friends here in Luocheng; they should be willing to do us a small favor.”

”Alright.”

Lin Xinghe and Hua Yao took out their phones and started making calls. But to their despair, their so-called good friends from the old days either didn’t pick up or hung up the moment they heard their voices.

They spent a full hour on the phone, nearly running their batteries dry, but neither of them found a job.

Only then did they truly feel the fickleness of human relationships.

They truly felt that without the Lin Family, they were nothing!
