The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 15: Chapter 15: A Martial Dao Prodigy

He was too strong!

Cheng Yuan was just too strong!

Even her brother, Shen Ao, the number one prodigy of the Shen Family’s younger generation, couldn’t have defeated her so easily!

Shen Manwen finally believed what Cheng Yuan had said. For him, reaching the Grandmaster realm was truly well within his grasp!

Shen Manwen struggled to her feet, wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, and readily admitted defeat.

”Cheng Yuan, you... you have the right to be proud. But aren’t you being a little petty? I’m Ruoxi’s best friend, after all. Did you really have to hit me that hard?”

Cheng Yuan gave a faint smile. ”Miss Shen, please press the area below your ribs. Does it still hurt?”

Shen Manwen subconsciously pressed below her ribs, and a look of pleasant surprise appeared on her face. ”It doesn’t hurt! It really doesn’t hurt anymore! Mr. Cheng, what in the world just happened?”

”My expertise isn’t limited to the Martial Dao; I’m also skilled in the Medical Dao. I’m a doctor—a very good one.”

A doctor?

A peculiar glint appeared in Shen Manwen’s eyes.

While Martial Artists were merely vassals and enforcers for the rich and powerful, only able to stand on equal footing after reaching the Grandmaster realm...

A doctor, on the other hand, could completely disregard the whims of the powerful. A Divine Doctor could even stand above them!

After all, they held power over the life and death of the elite!

Shen Manwen’s grandfather had found several famous doctors for her, but they were all helpless against her condition. She had taken a great deal of medicine, yet not only did her ailment fail to improve, it actually worsened slightly.

Originally, the area under her ribs only hurt when she pressed on it.

But for the past few days, a dull ache would start every night around Midnight.

And yet Cheng Yuan had cured her with a single strike of his palm!

’What kind of godlike medical skill is this?’

Shen Manwen’s attitude toward Cheng Yuan underwent a dramatic shift.

”Dr. Cheng, thank you for healing my internal injury. I was out of line just now, and I sincerely apologize! I take back what I said. Based on your medical skills alone, Dr. Cheng, you are more than worthy of Ruoxi.”

Cheng Yuan shook his head gently. ”Miss Shen, I only cleared the blood stasis in your body and temporarily relieved the pain. Your internal injury isn’t completely healed. Unless you stop your Cultivation right now, it will relapse in as little as three days or as long as a week. When that happens, I’m afraid you’ll suffer from Qi deviation.”

’Stop my Cultivation now?’

’How could I possibly do that?’

”I’ve been cultivating since I was a child. My dream is to become a female Grandmaster. Making me stop is worse than killing me. Dr. Cheng, I know this is a bit forward, but can you completely cure my internal injury?”

Cheng Yuan nodded calmly. ”I can. Just consider it payment for rent.”

Shen Manwen replied magnanimously, ”Dr. Cheng, if you can completely cure my internal injury, I’ll waive your rent for ten years!”

Cheng Yuan raised an eyebrow slightly. ’Shen Manwen is quite generous.’

”Alright. Get me a pen and paper.”

”Okay.”

Soon, Shen Manwen returned with a pen and paper. Cheng Yuan’s pen flew across the page as he quickly scribbled out a prescription.

”Miss Shen, this is the prescription I’ve written for you. Have these herbs prepared, take the medicine every day at noon, and you’ll be fully recovered in a week.”

Shen Manwen took the prescription, unable to keep from frowning.

Her grandfather had already found several famous doctors for her, and they had also prescribed medicine. The herbs they listed were mostly for clearing ”liver fire.”

But Cheng Yuan hadn’t prescribed anything to clear liver fire. Instead, he had listed several tonics!

’Are his medical skills really up to par?’

”Dr. Cheng, you said my stagnant liver fire would cause the ice and fire to clash, so why aren’t you prescribing medicine to clear it? Why prescribe tonics instead? Won’t that just make the liver fire even stronger?”

Cheng Yuan patiently explained, ”I just helped you expel the fire poison, so there’s no need for medicine to clear your liver fire. Furthermore, the reason your liver fire is so strong is because of a fire caused by yin deficiency. That’s why I prescribed herbs to supplement that deficiency.”

Yin deficiency?

Shen Manwen couldn’t help but frown. ”Dr. Cheng, I don’t even have a boyfriend. How can I be ’deficient’?”

Cheng Yuan spoke in a gentle voice, ”Because you cultivate an Ice Attribute True Qi, your five vital organs have been eroded by cold Qi for a long time. It’s normal to be weakened, and it has nothing to do with whether you have a boyfriend. Oh, actually, if you did have a boyfriend, you could borrow his Yang Qi to expel the cold Qi from your organs. That would greatly alleviate the symptoms.”

Shen Manwen’s face instantly turned bright red.

’She suspected Cheng Yuan was being suggestive, but she had no proof.’

”Fine, I’ll try it. If my internal injury is healed in a week, I will reward you handsomely.”

Cheng Yuan smiled faintly. ”A prime client like you, Miss Shen... you could introduce me to a few more in the future.”

Shen Manwen rolled her eyes. ”Is there a commission?”

”I can arrange that. If you really do introduce me to a major client, Miss Shen, I can help you adjust your Circulation Route. I’ve noticed your Cultivation Technique seems to have a small flaw.”

THUMP! THUMP!

Shen Manwen’s heart began to beat wildly!

She remembered her grandfather telling her that their family’s ancestral Cultivation Technique had once been lost. It had been painstakingly pieced back together over several generations through trial and error.

As a result, the younger generation of the Shen Family often ran into problems during their Cultivation. The family hadn’t produced a single Grandmaster in three generations!

The strongest member of the Shen Family, Elder Shen, had been stuck at the Celestial Realm Peak for over twenty years!

The Shen Family’s status as a great house was in jeopardy; they desperately needed a Grandmaster.

Reaching the Grandmaster realm was Shen Manwen’s lifelong pursuit, as well as an obsession for everyone in the Shen Family!

Shen Manwen found it hard to believe Cheng Yuan could actually do it. After all, her grandfather had sought help from several Grandmasters, but they had all been powerless to help.

’Could it be that Cheng Yuan’s understanding of the Martial Dao is even greater than a Grandmaster’s?’

”Dr. Cheng, to be honest, my grandfather once paid a great price to ask several Grandmasters for help, but their efforts were in vain. Are you really confident?”

’Cheng Yuan didn’t know how his own Martial Dao attainments compared to a Grandmaster’s, but he had the Double Pupil. He could see the problem areas with perfect clarity.’

”Those Grandmasters may have a deep understanding of the Martial Dao, but their knowledge of human anatomy certainly can’t compare to that of a doctor like me.”

Shen Manwen nodded slightly, acknowledging the truth in his words.

”If you can help our Shen Family reconstruct the *Profound Ice Formula*, Dr. Cheng, this house is yours!”

Cheng Yuan’s pupils contracted slightly.

”Are you serious?”

”I’m serious.”

”Alright. In that case, Miss Shen, please begin circulating your energy for one Great Cycle.”

”Okay!”

Shen Manwen immediately began to operate the *Profound Ice Formula*. A frigid aura instantly erupted from her body, and the surrounding temperature dropped noticeably.

With a mere thought, Cheng Yuan activated his Double Pupil.

AHEM.

Cheng Yuan saw a sight he wasn’t supposed to see.

’Perhaps because she’d been cultivating for years, Shen Manwen had a fantastic figure.’

’Her waist was slender, without a single ounce of fat.’

’She even had clearly defined abs.’

’And moving up...’

’So fair!’

’So dazzling!’

’A perfect pair of hemispheres!’

’It was almost enough to blind him!’
